Hi Todd, I just wanted to thank you for your great insightful site. My pastor recommended the site and my husband and I both find it very helpful and thought provoking. While I lean toward the Pre-trib rapture myself. I know there are many beliefs out in the church and much discussion. Might I suggest that we all remember that our hope is in Jesus Lord of Lords and King of Kings. He is the author and finisher of our faith. He assures us time and time again that if we accept him as our Savior we will be saved. He will come again and I feel it is soon but all our brothers and sisters in Christ need to focus on this. The Church is so divided on The Rapture Pre vs Post and I think sometimes we just need to remember to always be ready and trust in His grace. Thank you again for all your wonderful teachings. The reason I googled for it is because God has laid this same vision on my heart but it's not through a website but another form and I was googling to just get info to see if there was anything out there like it.
Perhaps there is a GOD reason behind this. But either way just wanted to tell you great job on the site. I will spread the word.
Hello, I have just read your artical about the rapture being pre-trib and I have a theory of my own that I would like you to think about.

The theory started when I was listening to a radio show and a muslim was talking about how he became a christian. He was saying that the Muslims do in fact believe that Jesus was a prophet. They even go as far as calling him the Messiah and anointed one of "allah". But what struck me was the fact that the Jews believe that Jesus existed. Then it struck me:

The rapture of the church is for those who have built their faith upon the name of Jesus Christ. For those who believe he is the one and only one who can save us from ourselves and damnation for he is the lamb of God. Thus is his (Jesus) Church that is raptured. Taking on the worlds sins so that we may be united with the Lord once more. If it wasn't for this sacrifice then all would be lost. We would have to be like the Jews in old times setting up sacrifices to atone for our sins.

Conquenidently that is what is going to happen when the Jewish Temple is built. The jews will once again sign into a coventant with the Lord and begin the sacrifices once because they don't believe that their savior has come yet and have to continue the animal sacrifices.

However the Muslim nations of Islam do in fact believe Jesus was God sent and came from a virgin to be a great teacher and prophet for mankind. However they don't believe he died such a horrible death upon the cross and that one of his disciples must have taken his place because their god would never allow one of his prophets to die in such a manner. Thus it puts Jesus Christ as the catylist. He is the thorn in their belief system- if he did die to atone for the sins of man kind then Mohammad would no be in the wrong. But with the Jewish nation if they believed Jesus as their savior then they would have to realize that he was put to death and they ignored him- something I don't think they are comfortable with admitting. But those who believe now Jesus is who he says he is, are the ones that are saved from not only hell but from wrath of God when the Judgements come.

When the Rapture takes place it will show God's almighty hand in the world and bring the two desputing nations together (Jews and Islam) The Islamic nations will see it as God's hand in cleansing the world of all the non believers (Infadels) while the Jewish nation will see it as the act of God showing his almighty power. Thus propelling the people to come back into Isreal to build the third and final temple. Which will begin with the sacrifices of animals to atone for the sins. WHich was why Christ came. He is our corner stone, and lamb to be slaughter for our sins.

Anyhoo. The temple will be sacred for 3 and half years bring peace to the middle east. And with the old convent ways begin established once again. But here's the kicker, what if the abonination that causes desolation is the antichrist killing the two witnesses on holy ground in the temple?
The antichrist will take credit for the two that he has killed since no one else has been able to since. He will then take credit for the rapture as well and proclaiming he is the reason for peace and that he brought it setting himself up as God. For no one else has done such miracluous works. Thus throwing the world into the Great Trib.

Now this theory does coniscide with what you were saying about the two witnesses having to be in place at the beginning of the tribulation, which can't start until the church is out of the way.

Your thoughts on this would be helpful.

pretty neat site. I just happened to find it while looking for a rapture clock. looks like you're using your time wisely. I thought there might be a rapture clock, but ofcourse there can't be. I have a Christmas clock, and it is moving ever so fast towards Christmas. and even though we can't have a digital moving rapture clock, it's pretty evident that it's ticking along towards that date at an extremely fast pace. well, good to find this site. Keep up the good work til Jesus comes back., as in the song: we'll work, we'll work til Jesus comes.

I just posted the latest article that Ron Graham wrote, onto my facebook page. Then I thought well maybe I should do a search and see who else did of on facebook. What I found to be of interest is a lot of Islam supporters posted it also, then made a laugh of it. Oh how satan laughs now, but he has already lost the battle. I just wanted to let you know what an excellent article you wrote on Margaret McDonald. I never heard of her or anything about her. You were right on when you said that we do not need to be rocket scientists to discover the rapture, as it is clearly written in scripture. Darby and McDonald can move over because there have been writings as early as 373 or AD, or shortly therafter on the rapture. One being "Ephraim The Syrian". Hi, I am not Christian and I was reading your site, I thought it was very inaccurate. Witchcraft isn't evil at all, if anything it's history is far more peaceful than Christianity. I'm not trying to attack you religion or any other but we don't worship the Devil or manipulate anyone. Witchcraft is not the use of evil power, it calls on a source of energy which we believe can be used for harm or good purposes, and those who use it malevolently are not Wiccan. Your article “Mr. Doom and Gloom and Deceit” is excellent and I reproduced it for the church prophecy newsletter I compile weekly. I am hopeful that your reading of Benny Hinn is from the perspective of what the military espouses as ‘know your enemy.’ Hinn is a well documented blasphemer and false prophet. I might add in today’s vernacular, he is a certified whacko! And, most relevant to your article, he is a clever deceiver whose impact on others may lead them into a false gospel and put their salvation at high risk.

I have spent oodles of time reading at your site, in the past and now. A broken foot has set me up for long sessions reading everything I can find. I read one of your stats which I think disclosed how much time the average reader spends at your site. Well I'm way off the charts I have to tell you. I am drawn to your practical, sound, optimistic, and kind presentation of God's plan. There's tangible compassion in the answers to the frequently asked questions, and that's very refreshing. But the Christian dog joke did me in (where he runs up and demonstrates his understanding of the "heel" command). Too funny. Hello Sir, Thank you for posting some truths about AA on the Internet. AA is absolute heresy & had it's roots in the totally discredited Moral Re-Armament movement. Which was Fascist in nature. Frank Buchman being at one time an admirer of Adolf Hitler!. Please continue to discredit AA. It should be destroyed. This pseudo religious cult caused me a lot of un-necessary problems in my sober life. thank goodness I'm free of that organization now.
Todd. I just read your letter about Rev. E Ewing. And I hesitate to use the title I personally have been a victim of this man ,unknowing the details until after my husbands death. He did business with my husband in his mailings. He personally was responsible for Driving the company into bankruptcy when his illegal activities were being discovered by the IRS Whether or not they were ever divulged I do not know. I think I have letters to my husband concerning His intention to target certain impoverished areas because they were for the most part uneducated And well the rest is just to disgusting to go on with. Is Paul K the "Glen Beck" of theology? He said what needs to be said, even though the truth may not be "politically correct". Why doesn't anybody else speak up about the false doctrines that abound. I applaud him. If some SSA disability people were at those meetings, how many people who are "healed" would sign off that they don't need their disability check any more. When I worked in Seattle, one of my fellow workers stated he'd been healed the night before from one arm being longer than the other. I said "Oh no, now your wife's going to have to let down one sleeve of all your suits." Silence. My brother is into that stuff and said at his meeting, people were getting their tooth fillings replaced with gold. I asked why not a new tooth??? Maybe I'd better use my eyes and ears on your writings instead of my mouth. Kudos to your website. I go to it several times each day, and appreciate the time you take to keep it maintained.

I stumbled across your website quite accidentally. I really have nothing to say but shame on you for poisoning so many young, impressionable minds. Your sight is an abomination. You are willingly causing harm to huge numbers of already brainwashed youth. You are contributing to a society where people no longer take responsibility in their actions and throw away their will to reason, on the belief that some fake messiah is coming to take them from the earth. This isn't just any messiah. This is a god who has placed his creation, which is someone whom he supposidely loves, on the earth with a predistination of being a bad person, and threatens them right from childhood, that if they do not love him and follow his words, they will not only have to live in fear for this life, but burn in hell after they have passed on. I've been in a spiritual rut lately and needed some sort of guidance. I didn't know where to look in the Bible so I typed in the google search "How do I know I'm saved?" and I found a link to your site. From then I read several of the articles listed, including "A Crisis of Faith."
Those two particular articles have helped eased my troublesome thoughts and I thank you for having them on your site.

Your pre-tribulation rapture theory is not holding up according to the Bible. To be caught up in an unaffected scenerio,as you have mentioned, does not hold up either. Noah had to live among the most vile humans and Lot lived among the most viscious homesexuals. We will be forced to endure the 1st 3.5 years of the trib - until the unclean one proclaimes himself in the temple.
Your writers go on and on when the answer is so simple. You cannot talk down the Word. You are actually advancing the proclamation of satan. By advocating the early rapture, you are advancing the satanic 666. The 6th trump, the 6th seal and the 6th vial. satan will then proclaim himself the "instead of Christ" and deceive those with his supernatural controls and beauty. he will deceive the masses with the 1st announced rapture and that is what you are proclaiming.

I do believe the treatment we see of Islam today has much to do with how it has been treated by influential governments as well as the media. Remember after 9/11 how our government put forth much effort NOT to vilify Islam even though the perpetrators of the attacks were presumably acting on the tenets of their faith? Eight years of this propaganda was fed to the public.
Today we have a president who (if not a Muslim) supports the Islamic faith openely, both domestically and abroad. We also have a new hate crime bill that will most likely protect the Islamic faith as well as homosexual behavior.
People may have IQ's above 50 but many have become mentally atrophied as well as spiritually deceived.
Jack Kelley has speculated and supported with Scripture the premise that Islam will be the religion promoted by the a-christ. I personally have always thought it to be satan's tool. It is interesting to historically look at the spread of Islam and how God's hand stopped it from spreading west - hence its influence (for now) has primarily been in the east.

If such a crises presented itself, (or, if the powers behind the scenes creates such a crises to further its own agenda) then it could very well be that this would create the "Perfect Crises" and Tony would be looked to as the man with the golden tongue and all the answers. We're having a glorious sun shining morning here right now. We've not had too many of these lately. While we needed the rain really bad, we also need some sunshine to lift our spirits. So how has Arkansas been treating you? I've noticed the south getting pounded with some nasty thunderstorms and tornadoes lately. Hope you have not suffered from it.

My question to Mr. Thornton is this: do you not think that our holy and righteous and true God,who magnifies His Word even above His own name, cannot PRESERVE His INFALLIBLE, INSPIRED, INERRANT WORD? I am not gambling that the bible is a big lie - it IS a big lie, as much as the Koran and the Hindu holy books. You have to remember that you are very much an atheist - you no longer believe in Thor, Woden, Apollo, Mercury or Atlas. In time, something will follow the major religions of today and you are merely part of a religious cycle. As for prophesies, all religions have figured out the times and date of the apocalypse - the early christian disciples believed it would happen during the time of Jesus, the year 1000AD, the year 1666. Jehovah's Witnesses have figured it out around a dozen times. What I don't understand - and what I would like you to explain to me is:- when the day of doom comes and nothing happens, how is it that followers are not put off? How is it that you simply sit down with a bit of paper to work out the next doomsday? Does no-one say: "Look, you guys are nutters, why do you constantly get things wrong?" When is you next doomsday? I guarantee that, like you, I'll be eating breakfast the day after.
You must admit that religions not only know there is a god; they know the way it thinks, it acts, it judges, it's purpose, it's plan; its mind. Has it ever occurred to you that gods might be man's puppet rather than the other way round? And does not your own arrogance hit you like a sledgehammer?
As a committed humanist for sixty years in Britain, I get on well with all religious people. We talk, we discuss, we assess. But, were I to become a member of another religion or superstition, they would immediately see me as a very real threat. Most religions are evil in that they see other religions as a threat, and the history of the world is a history of barbarism by one religion against another. You are right - the rest are wrong. I only go one tiny little step further - you are ALL wrong.
Religions are like sores on the buttocks of humanity - they grow, they fester, their evil deeds sour humanity and run through history like a malignant virus. Until you face the fact that our salvation depends on us, as rational beings in a material world then we will fail. Not because of some pathetic god that you've created, but because we're unwilling to accept that we are the masters of our own fate. belief without proof an be dismissed without proof.

Hi Todd: I see alot of right wing and left wing news commentators on the news these days in the US media. Personally I would put too much support in either of them. The world seems to be pretty messed up, and everyone is trying to spin anything negative or positive in their favour/their political beliefs. Re: European socialism in the US. You guys can't afford it, so don't worry about it. We have what you would call "socialism" here in Canada, and we couldn't afford European socialism either. It is really expensive. Perhaps you should fear more Canadian socialism. It is a mixture of US Capitalism and European socialism. In this scenario, yes, be afraid if you must. I hope your guys don't go into another civil war or something down there. The last one was trying enough for all your neighbours. My advice. Pray for what concerns you. Love your enemies as yourself. Allow God to sort this out according to his "plan".

I want to thank Jack Kelly for his excellent article on Don't Pray For America ..9/24/09. on your website. It made me think and realize that what he is saying is true. I love America, and hate seeing how it is being destroyed and would love to see it go back to its christian roots. But after reading this article, I know that it will never happen as God has preordained all that will happen, and Israel is the only nation that really matters. I just read an article by Jack Kelly about 201, (unfortunately I don't have his email address). The Mayan calendar ends on December 25th, 2012. Nostradamus predicted the end of the world in 2012. I think what the Mayans and Nostradamus are saying is that in 2012, one age will end and another will begin. The Mayan culture may have been primitive by our standards, but they were highly advanced when it came to celestial matters. Ancient Babylon also paid attention to the sky.
A new age will begin when there have been three solar eclipses. The first eclipse will be when our moon moves in front of the sun, There will be another eclipse after that one and as has been predicted by the Mayans and other cultures, the sun will rise between Sagittarius and Scorpio and something called the dark rift?? Where we will be exposed to something from space.
A magnetic polar reversal has happened before, but no one was there to see and witness it. However, when the next reversal occurs millions will witness it and it will cause a big stir in scientific circles and scientists will make every effort to observe and record what happens when the flip occures.

Todd, I am 44 years old and have been going to church for 30 years. I have been to many denominational churches and have left each one seeking what I believed to be the truth. About three years ago, I starter attending a church that teaches right division (2 Tim 2:15). I have learned that the bible should be broken into the sections of who it was written to and this has given me the understanding and wisdom that I have sought all my life. I have visited your Rapture Ready site for years. I have always had a great hunger for understanding prophecy. I am writing to you today because I share your concern regarding people's commitment. I am a saved saint who is saved due to the righteousness of Christ that has been imputed to me due to Jesus shedding his blood for me on the cross, His death , burial and resurrection. That and that alone is the means to my salvation. I am quickened into the body of Christ and ALL of my sins are forgiven. I cannot lose my salvation and am sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise until the day of redemption. I can say that boldy now that I understand right division. Paul's (Apostle to the Gentiles) letters (Romans thru Philemon) are for our obedience. The balance of the bible (including the four gospels) are for Israel's obedience and show the fufillment of God's promise and plan for Israel. The mystery of the cross was never known until the revelation of the mystery to Paul by Jesus. When we try to be obedient to Israel's instruction we fall short, we cannot be righteous on our own which is what the Law commands and this creates frustration. When one is born again (a term for Israel) he cannot sin. But we do sin and will as long as we have flesh. When we obey the mystery that was revealed to Paul, we do not struggle with the sin vs. salvation issue. I don't want to keep rambling on. I encourage you to study to show yourself approved. I truly beleive that we are to rightly divide God's Word into the different audiences. Hebrews thru Revelation is for Isreal in the future after the rapture of the Body of Christ. Couple little things:
1. you guys still have this errant notion of the "church" there is no such thing as a universal type church that you guys always write about. The church, Biblically, is ALWAYS local and visible. That's the short verstion.

2. the scriptural new testament Baptist church has been grafted in in place of Israel. (they are in a state of rejection of Christ, remember?) see isaiah for this...my servants shall be called by a new name... Yes, God still has a plan for israel, but the time is not just yet.
3. You really need to stick with that old KJV exclusively.
4. The antichrist declares himself to be God at the 3 and a half year point of the Tribulation, not at the start.

Hi Todd, Thank you so much for RR. I have been viewing for years and appreciate your and Terry's efforts to the nth degree. Praise Jesus - we are going home soon. I save many articles on your site and others in word documents and I print as much as I can (I have filled 3 file cabinet drawers). I guess I'm building a collection of Bible Prophecy and news articles by contemporary scholars/authors/pastors/etc. It seems important because we'll get hit by EMP sooner or later which will make online anything impossible for a time and then when things are up and running again (??) it will all be regulated by unfriendlies. I want to leave printed stuff here for people to find. I like the idea of a thumb drive on a chain around neck but wonder it the energies that happen when we're raptured won't wipe any kind of electronic device --- so I guess I'll wear the thumb drive and include a note telling where my printed matter and library of books is kept. The news was reporting on Obama & the passing of laws allowing gay marriage. My son always ask questions about what is right and wrong, about what is truth.. He knows a great deal about the Bible. About the hate mail, Much of it will be from SDAs, whose opposition to rapture and Israel is ferocious, like a dog on your ankle. Though i am not a fanatic of the rapture, their behaviour is clearly demonic opposition, which seems to make it less necessary for me to research - as anything demons dont like is true. Hi Todd, I was reading some of the comments some people have left you and was most surprised. The people who choose to call the Bible "a lie" and make other derogatory comments just completely surprise me. Never have I ever, even before I came to Christ, dogged the Bible, or any religious writing, namely because I didn't know enough to make a sound decision or not. Here in these emails, it is sad to see that the same descriptions they say they see in the Bible, are the same isues the world is dealing with today, with the exception of an ANSWER to these issues, a Way Out, if you will. Clearly they see Jesus as mythical, yet choose to probably follow the blindness of the Potter movies. I noted a person too, who made a comment to you about witchcraft and enlightenment. Having been involved in witchcraft, egyptian magick and other occultic practices, I remembered that when you are blind and cannot see, one will believe the hype they dump on you. The key, that I have found, is understanding Spirituality, and the Presence of the Holy Spirit. The Bible says..yes it SAYS..(like someone mentioned Einstein "said") ...that To be Carnal minded is death, and to be Spirit minded is life. Well, if the bible says that and people choose to comment on it, then why is it they don't try it? Prove it to yourself, is what I say. But no, they choose to ramble off whatever thoughts come to their mind rather than do some real homework and find out. I know Jesus is alive and real, because I have seen the Move of God already. I have prayed and experienced His Presence, but I've never known anyone to quote Darwin or other and then radically they have evolved into something right then and there. The Bible is the Living Word of God, therefore if it is read through man's eyes (flesh), they will fail to see the Truth in it, as many who hate-mail you do. But to read it through God's eyes (spirit), ahhh..that my friend, is when the blindfolds come off and the Truth is revealed in a life transforming way, never to be the same again. Somehow, the website and the Truth offends; but Truth is consistent. If it were not the Truth, they wouldn't feel the need to "let you have it".

To whom it may concern, I have recently stumbled upon your definition of Witchcraft. To say the least I was greatly disturbed that someone would have such a 19th century view on the subject. If someone would truly like to understand the meaning of Witchcraft one would have to read and study for a long period of time. Sir/Mad'em, Please understand the the "black magick" you are referring to is not Witchcraft, but sorcery. Witchcraft is the ability to look inside oneself and finding power and enlightenment, and then using that power to change the world.
I hope that maybe my words have done one of two things, One) Enlightened your thoughts on others practices, or two) Sparked a light inside of you to begin researching before you post something about a subject that you clearly have no idea upon.

Hello, I'm an actor in New York City. I went to a Christian school for all 13 years of elementary, junior high, and high school. We were never "allowed" to discuss the end times or the rapture because they're were so many conflicting viewpoints on the subject. To me, this is completely idiotic because group discussion on topics is a great way for people to not only share their viewpoint, but collaborate with others as believers and see sides of stories we never even imagined.
Naturally at a young age, I was extremely into the end times. During my years of 4th grade when I was about ten, the whole Left Behind series was all the rage. So I read them. They freaked me out of my mind. I remember even being so afraid, so scared that God was going to take me through this time that I would sit up late at night asking God to kill me before the year 2008. Because God gave me a strong feeling that when I was 18, in 2008, the prophetic ball would start rolling. Mind you, I was ten years old. All I could think about was how I was going to get my head chopped off if I didn't take the mark. Either that or starve to death because I wouldn't take it. Not exactly the brightest future for a ten-year old.
So I went onto the internet to see some discussions of the rapture. And I found your website. I may have not been ten at the time, I don't know how old I was, but I found your website at a very young age. And I've been reading it ever since. I must say, it has changed my views completely!
To say the least, my mind has gone from fear and trembling of living in the earth's final days, to a feeling of excitement and urgency! I find it absolutely amazing to think that God brought ME into this time and place for this reason. On top of that, being an actor in an industry that needs Him more than anything. I cannot tell you how exciting that is to me. And it gives me a heightened awareness of purpose.
I also must say how interesting it has been to see how in tune my generation has been with the end times. And not just believers. I remember on election day this year how I hosted an election party in my student lounge. This one kid who was homosexual started talking about how if Obama is the Anti-Christ, then he would feel terrible voting for him. I don't personally believe that Obama is the Anti- Christ, but what was more interesting was what he said afterwords. He said, "Oh my gosh. If Jesus returns here soon, I'm not going to be taken away with him. I'm living a complete life of sin. I'm gone. I'm going to be left here behind. I hope the Lord waits for me to straighten up before He returns". I thought that was the oddest thing a non-believer could ever say. It was as if his very soul was screaming out of his body and I don't even think he would remember saying that.
Nonetheless, I don't know exactly where I'm going with any of this, but I just want you to know how glad I am to have been reading for so long. I just want you to know that I think that what you're doing is great. I love reading every Monday a new article on the weekly events (that have been recently escalating quite a bit). Todd, I just discovered your website, and read all the mail. Don't listen to the naysayers. Jesus told us to brush off our feet at those who would reject Him. The blessing will come to us. Every time I'm think about what goes on in my walk, I'm reminded that not to long ago, I was ready to do some things so horrific I can't really trust anyone with the information for now. Jesus has done massive reconstruction to my being, and I'm now not ashamed of Him. To the naysayers, sorry you feel this way. Sorry you see Jesus Christ as a joke. But to quote a part of P.O.D.'s Goodbye For Now, "goodbye for now (I'm not the type to say I told you so)". We, being redeemed, will meet with OUR FATHER in Heaven. So, for now, we soldier on. I've even gone and put up dead man switches on two of my friends' emails. After 60 days, they'll automatically send themselves to them, detailing my disappearance, if not rest by me. Long story short, they'll know where I'll be. Keep strong in God and be about Our Father's business, for the hour draws near with every second.

Its in a case and It has a little peice of paper in the case that says, "Where are the People"? Please Promote doing this on your website. Hi Todd, I found out about this website by my sister. I was just looking over some of the posted emails, and I stand by your belief of the Pre-Tribulation Rapture. Some say it's not coming, but even Paul spoke of it. God delivered Noah berfore the flood, God delivered Lot before he destroyed Sodom and Gamorrah, God has a history of delivering his people before the calamity so the Pre-Tribulation Rapture absolutely fits into Gods way of doing things. Many say many things, even to say that christianity causes them to live in fear, But following Jesus takes away fear, I stand with you and try to focus on Jesus and his near return. I'm a sinner and confess it openly that Jesus is our only saving grace. Thank you for your website, and keep it up.
Todd, thank you for creating such a comprehensive website. it is amazing how God works. i don't think people understand that God does not always talk directly to you, but through other people. I lost my job several months ago and was really depressed and mad at the sametime. I never once thought that God was punishing me, however i did have to ask myself why? well, i now have an answer....i can't say that i ever really left God, but he more or less took a back seat in my life over the years. Fact is i needed a wake up call. Financially things are really hard, but spiritually i have never been more rich. I realized i have taken a lot of things for granted, not anymore. What i have that is great, in my life is due to God. I'm actually glad that i lost my job because it has brought my closer to God and will prepare me for the future. It's a litttle interesting for me, as I've come to the Lord just shy of 3 years ago, but I can say this: It is my opinion that is does not matter when the Rapture occurs, pre or post, it doesn't matter who is "wrong or right", it really doesn't matter that people send "hate mail". What DOES matter, to me at least, is that you offer some information, food for thought if you will, about whether we are living our lives the way we should. The Rapture will come, whether it will be pre or post, and we will be with the Lord, but in the bigger picture, if the Rapture, regardless of Calendar Time can be used metaphorically, then where does it put us in terms of where we stand in God's eyes? Are we in good standing, awaiting the "thief in the night", or are we partying however we want on the day before that night comes? I appreciate all that you and your team do on this site. In my 61 years of life, 50 as a born-again believer, I have learned that God seems to prefer to take us on the scenic mountain road rather than on the bland freeway through the valley. I will have to say that I am more skeptical of Kim Clement than some others; I will also say that I have seen prophecies by Harold Eatmon, a locally-based international prophet (hemi.org), validated by events. I regularly read elijahlist.com, which is where I first encountered Kim Clement's prophecies. I have a very different take on the March 29 Obama prophecy that was posted on the Elijah List on April 9 (note Steve Shultz's comments), while Obama was still contending with Clinton for the nomination. I and others were disturbed with the prophecy at the time. On New Year's Eve I was at a Harold Eatmon prophecy meeting where he prophesied that the US would experience something worse than anything from the 20th century during the fall of 2009. There was no further indication regarding whether that related to the economy, terrorism, natural disasters, etc. I read your Nearing Midnight commentary right after reading the Israel Watch commentary "The Keys to Haifa".
I read most of the emails that were posted on your site. It truly amazes me some of the stuff that people will say, much less, write! One guy said... "See you in Hell!!!"
This world has NO ONE to blame except man alone. GOD gave/gives us life and we screw it up. Have I done things that I am ashamed of... of course... but I have asked for and received forgiveness.
It's really sad to know how in this day and age, I have to give my son (whom is ONLY 10) a CELL PHONE to take to school with him in case he needs to call me in the event they have a CODE 500... for those of you who don't know what that is, that is a BOMB THREAT or someone is shooting up the school and students. Sad to know that I can't let my boys "look through the toy aisle" in Wal-Mart while I shop only because there are MEN AND WOMEN who could abduct them. Sad to know they can't even GO TO THE RESTROOM ALONE as someone could harm them.
It's so sad to know that my daughter, while only 3, she sees purity and everyone is innocent and how I know in just a few short years, all of that will be taken away. Not by me... by the world. Sad to know that I can't turn on REGULAR TV and watch a NORMAL TV SERIES WITHOUT PROFANITY OR SEX. Sad to know that I can't leave my garage door open just to clean it out for fear that someone will come in and kill me, seduce me, whatever the case may be. Sad to know that I can't let my kids play outside at night WITHOUT AN ADULT PRESENT for fear they will go missing. Oh, how I miss the days of flashlight tag!!
GOD gives us the choice to believe and to be forgiven. So, for the people who write on your website saying there IS NO GOD, NO BOOK WAS WRITTEN, etc., I really pray for you. You will be the ones left... maybe you should try reading LEFT BEHIND. Oh, I forgot, you don't believe anyway. Todd, I've noticed that you usually get two types of e-mail messages that you post on your site. People are either raving about your site and thanking you or they are telling you how crazy you are for believing as you do. This will be neither, but rather a mixed bag. I grew up in a rapture believing church. I was a premillenial dispensationalist for many years. I was sincere in this belief and found your site during that time of my life.
To make a rather long story much shorter, it was very spiritually damaging for me. I was so caught up in thinking the world was ending tomorrow or in the next moment that I was in a constant state of fear. The here and now became pointless. Would my unsaved loved ones make it in time? Was this or that particular political figure the next anti-Christ? Which poor deluded souls deceived by Satan would find themselves part of a group that thought they were Christian but were really part of the 'one world religion of the beast'? It was an awful and extraordinarily stressful way to live. It was all about judging others and then not doing anything remotely like putting my own faith in action and doing something worthwhile. Everything was so pointless and my only consolation was that I had been guaranteed to escape any sort of difficulty myself.
I began by reading the often cited scriptures and I found that there wasn't mention of a pre-tribulation rapture anywhere in the bible. There was nothing about dispensations at all. Then, the whole John Nelson Darby thing can't be swept under the rug so easily. However, the scriptures do speak about Christ's imminent return. I looked into historical Christianity and it changed my life for the better. I am definitely an amillenialist now. Those Christians who wrote the Nicene Creed had the right of it.
Here at Rapture Ready, your hearts are in the right place, but your focus is off. If I were a betting type, I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that you'll never post this on your site. I'd be very surprised if you did.

Hey Todd For years, 30 years or more, I believed whole heartedly in the bible. Even though my studies led me to find countless contradictions and other mega problems within the book, I continued to believe. Finally, I was able to break free of the wretched stranglehold religion had on me. Upon visiting your site, I had to chuckle. Rapture ready? What do you know about the rapture Todd? The whole concept is a huge fantastic doctrine based on a molecule of suggestion, and nothing more. There will be no repture Todd. Hi Todd, My name is Trevor and I am a Roman Catholic. I stumbled upon your website and read through some of your material. I can see that you love God sincerely and are trying your best to help others do the same. First I would like to say that I was very pleased by the way you speak about Catholics in a manner in which you do not promote hatred, lies or accuse them of being wrong or misled. So many Protestant webpages promote anti-Catholic views, and I commend you for not doing so. Our Church is so misunderstood because of lies and false accusations.
During a service one suday our pastor shared with us an outline of events that fell in line with Jewish holidays and in turn stated that the rapture would happen Sept. 23, 2008 and of course it did not and that seven years after that date would be when Jesus would set foot back on earth. This was not his own prediction just one that had been put together from some other calender other than ours. I know that no person on this earth can determine the date, but my son who is now twelve was seriously afftected by it. He seems very confused, the other day I was asking him about his relationship with Jesus and he would only say that "I don't want to be baptised right now, I have plenty of time." My family is praying for him as well as myself. I have always prayed to God that my son is not mine that he belongs to God and I am only the guide here,to show me the direction that he wants him to go and I feel that I have failed. I don't want him to suffer and be left behind, please pray that his heart will be receptive again and that God help us and keep him close. As I stated before, I believe Netanyahu will be the next Prime Minister of Israel. Livni has failed in setting up the required goverment in the allotted time frame. Furthermore, Netanyahu has formerly stated he will be the Prime Minister when the Messiah returns. Look up!

Hi Todd... Do you know what Einstein said about God and Religion? He said that "God" and religion is for the weak and the afraid. And after seeing your site, I now know that it is also for the stupid. I personally think religion is a pretty good example of "Mass Hysteria". As for animals not having souls, well if that's true then it must also be true that people who have IQ's approximate to that of animals must be souless as well. This is includes you :)

Greetings, and God bless you! You work great works of the Lord through this wonderful website. Truly, the Lord is, and will continue, prospering you with His supreme wisdom, love, and grace. Indeed, we are living in the endtimes, and I suspect we're living in the last few nanoseconds of these last days. I have learned the true meaning of knowledge by studying scripture from a prophetic point of view, and I am learning how to value life and most importantly, how to value God's supreme message to us all, embodied in John 3:16. I have learned so very, very much from this website and its articles. In fact, this website along with some well-known preachers were the main reasons why I left my old religious ways in Roman Catholicism. The arguments proposed on this site's various pages and those proposed by the evangelical movement in general made me see clearly the evil of religion, particularly the many pagan practices in certain branches of so-called christianity. Also, the prophetic point of view is a very powerful witnessing tool, in my opinion. Speaking about the rebirth of Israel as a nation, the rise of Magog and Persia (et. al), etc. all bring forth powerful points in our daily evangelism. When I was practicing in Roman Catholicism, we never even heard the idea of bible prophecy. Perhaps it was there, in all fairness, but it was certainly never stressed. Yet even if it was stressed, it was probably ruined by the idea of replacement theology, which I learned about through this wonderful website. Finally, thank God for Jesus Christ, whose hands and feet are people like you and other evangelists, who pulled people like me out of false denominations, all allegedly christian by name. God bless you, all of your brethren, and this web ministry. May peace always reign over you, and may grace abide in the deepest depths of your soul. Again, if it wasn't for God who works through people like you, evangelicals, I would be in deep darkness. Thank you for all your hard work!
Well my suggestion to improve the site is to at least make an effort to understand the basics of cosmology and evolutionary biology before you spout such bigoted nonsense. If you brought your ideas over here to the UK, or indeed to most parts of educated Europe, you would be laughed out of the country. Hi Terry; it's Sondra. I just wanted to compliment you and Todd on an excellent Nearing Midnight article today. You two are so "right on" and I just pray that people everywhere will wake up, hear and see what's happening and seek His Word. One of my favorite scripture verses is from 2 Timothy 3:16 "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives." Just as you two said, it's all right there in the Bible; all we have to do is read and believe; but when you have pastors in churches teaching their congregations that the Bible is not the infallible and innerant word of God and that there are errors in the Bible; and that prophecy in the Bible has already happened; what can we do to save these people; I love the song we sing at church that says - Unlock the deaf ears, open the blind eyes, hear us from heaven, we are your people, HEAL THIS GENERATION, etc. Oh, we need this so very very much. We must all pray for this to happen.
