Heaven: Part 1

The long and winding road that leads to your door will never disappear.
road to heaven will never disappear if we
walk in the LIGHT...
[Jesus said,] “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not
walk in the darkness, but will have the
Light of life” (John 8:12).
“He will teach us His ways, so that we can walk in His paths” (Isaiah
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own
understanding. In all your ways acknowledge
Him, and He will make straight your paths”
“Send forth Your light and Your truth, let them guide me; let them bring
me to Your holy mountain, to the place where
You dwell” (Psalm 43:3).
“I was blind but now I see!” (John 9:25b)
ONLY if we have the Light will we be able to
RECOGNIZE the darkness.
“There are those who rebel against the light;
they do not know its ways nor abide in its
paths” (Job 24:13).
“…For Satan himself transforms himself into an
angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11:14b).
When we accept Christ as our Lord and
Savior, His Holy Spirit enters into our
hearts and gives us the instruction that we
need to fulfill His plan and His purpose for
our lives and for the life of the kingdom.
“And you also were included in Christ when you
heard the word of truth, the gospel of your
salvation. Having believed, you were marked
in Him with a seal, the promised Holy
Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our
inheritance until the redemption of those
who are God's possession—to the praise of
His glory” (Ephesians 1:12-14).
I’ve seen that road before.
Word of the Lord is the way to prepare for
the trip, to travel the road, and to reach

It always leads me here.
Christ, the way to God, shall be clearly
made known; and the way of a believer’s duty
shall be plainly marked out.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a
great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off
everything that hinders and the sin that so
easily entangles.And let us run with
perseverance the race set before us, fixing
our eyes on
JESUS, THE AUTHOR AND PERFECTER OF OUR
FAITH, who for the joy
set before Him endured the cross, scorning
its shame, and sat down at the right hand of
the throne of God. Consider Him who endured
such opposition so that you do not grow
weary and lose heart” (Hebrews 12:1-3,
us then go forward cheerfully, assured that
the end of this way shall be everlasting joy
and rest for the soul.
“Put on the full armor of God, so that you will
be able to stand firm against the schemes of
the devil” (Ephesians 6:10-11).
Each piece of the full armor of God:
“And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to
all creation’”(Mark 16:15).
“Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for
many, I say to you, will seek to enter and
will not be able. When once the Master of
the house has risen up and shut the door,
and you begin to stand outside and knock at
the door, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open for us,’
and He will answer and say to you, ‘I do not
know you, where you are from’” (Luke
“The highway of the upright is to depart from
evil: he that keeps his way preserves his

Lead me to your Door. STOP
Bible lets us know that Jesus doesn’t wait
for us to come to Him.
He’s always been there at the door of
our hearts, calling to us.
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock.
If anyone hears My voice and opens
the door, I will come in to him and dine
with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:20).
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and
they follow me” (John 10:27).
The wild and windy night with the rain has left a pool of tears, crying
for the day.
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present
help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, even
though the earth be removed, and though the
mountains be carried into the midst of the
sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled,
though the mountains shake with its
swelling. Selah” (Psalm 46:1-3).
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God,
who gives generously to all without
reproach, and it (wisdom) will be given him.
But let him ask in faith, with no doubting,
for the one who doubts is like a wave of the
sea that is driven and tossed by the wind”
Why leave me standing here?
“Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not
have compassion on the son of her womb?
Surely they may forget, yet I will
not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on
the palms of My hands” (Isaiah 49:15-16a).
“For we know that if the earthly tent which is
our house is torn down, we have a building
from God, a house not made with hands,
eternal in the heavens.
For indeed in this house we groan,
longing to be clothed with our dwelling from
heaven” (2 Corinthians 5:1-2).
STOP to help others
along the way through benevolence and
bringing others to Christ.
“Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest is
plentiful, but the workers are few.
Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to
send out workers into His harvest’” (Matthew
“You are My witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and
My servant whom I have chosen, so that you
may know and believe Me and understand that
I am He.
Before Me there was no God formed,
and there will be none after Me” (Isaiah
“Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony

“And do not neglect doing good and sharing; for
with such sacrifices God is pleased”
“Bear one another's burdens, and thus fulfill

faithfulness, gentleness, self-control”
presence will go with you, and I will give

‘I am the Lord your God, who teaches
you to profit, who leads you by the way you

“He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness
for His name’s sake”(Psalm 23:3b).
Many times I’ve been alone…
Jesus was left alone in His hour of need.
Even by His disciples who loved Him.
“Then Jesus said to them, ‘All of you will be
made to stumble because of Me this night,
for it is written:
I will strike the Shepherd, and the
sheep of the flock will be scattered.
But after I have been raised, I will
go before you to Galilee.’
Peter answered and said to Him, ‘Even if all
are made to stumble because of You, I will
never be made to stumble.’ Jesus said to
him, ‘Assuredly, I say to you that this
night, before the rooster crows, you will
deny Me three times’” (Matthew 26:31-3).
was rejected by most despite the Bible
prophets’ many predictions that pointed to
Him and only Him.
“He is despised and rejected of men; a man of
sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we
hid as it were our faces from him; he was
despised, and we esteemed him not” (Isaiah

Lord doesn’t promise us that we won’t have
times of trouble in this lifetime, but He
will help us to endure them.
“These things I have spoken to you, so that in
Me you may have peace. In the world you have
tribulation, but take courage; I have
overcome the world” (John 16:33).
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and
saves those who are crushed in spirit”
“…Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes
in the morning” (Psalm 30:5b).
Jesus cried too.
“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the
prophets and stones those who are sent to
her! How often I wanted to gather your
children together, as a hen gathers her
brood under her wings, but you were not
willing!” (Luke 13:34)
“When He approached Jerusalem, He saw the city
and wept over it, saying, ‘If you had known
in this day, even you, the things which make
for peace! But now they have been hidden
from your eyes.
For the days will come upon you when
your enemies will throw up a barricade
against you, and surround you and hem you in
on every side…because you did not recognize
the time of your visitation’” (Luke

gave mankind free will, but never ceases
trying to turn mankind’s hearts toward Him?
mankind has always failed Him, so much so
that He knew the only way to save us was to
come here in the flesh to be the ultimate
“without blemish” sacrifice for our sins.
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among
us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of
the only begotten of the Father, full of
grace and truth” (John 1:14).
“Have this attitude in yourselves which was
also in Christ Jesus, who, although He
existed in the form of God, did not regard
equality with God a thing to be grasped, but
emptied Himself, taking the form of a
bond-servant, and being made in the likeness

But still they lead me back to the long, winding road.
Being human, inevitably we will stumble
because of our sin or those who sin against

“For all have sinned, and come short of the

though we may stumble, He will guide us back
to the straight path.
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the
Lord, and He delights in his way. Though he
fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For
the Lord upholds him with His hand” (Psalm

“But now I am going to Him who sent Me…But
because I have said these things to you,

we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes

Lead me to Your door:
Jesus Christ is the Door, the great Mediator
between God and man.
Through faith in Him our sins are
blotted out; our souls are purified.
He leads us “beside the still waters”
of salvation – saved for eternity.
“I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he
will be saved, and will go in and out and
find pasture” (John 10:9).
True food for the soul is found in Jesus.
Only He can fill the spiritual hunger in our

Deceivers will first work to gain the hearts
of many by presenting some biblical truths
you are probably familiar with.
Then when they have your trust, they
bring forth their insidious doctrines. But
if you search the Holy Scriptures for
yourself, you will have a witness in your
heart that their doctrines are not of God.
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test
the spirits to see whether they are from
God, for many false prophets have gone out
into the world” (1 John 4:1).

“Do not be unequally yoked together with
unbelievers. For what fellowship has
righteousness with lawlessness? And what
communion has light with darkness?
And what accord has Christ with
Belial? Or what part has a believer with an
unbeliever? And what agreement has the

your church is saying to other religions
that we must come together to compare our
similarities, that we all worship the same
God, and all paths lead to God….
OUT FROM THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPARATE,” says

There are those who profess to be apostles,
but they are not apostles of Christ; they
neither do His will, nor preach His

They are fleecing their flocks
instead of feeding them.
These false teachers are poisoning
their flocks with errors and heresies.
“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you
in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are
ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will
recognize them” (Matthew 7:15).
“For such people are not serving our Lord
Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth
talk and flattery they deceive the minds of
naive people” (Romans 16:18).
“Look carefully then how you walk, not as
unwise but as wise, making the best use of
the time, because the days are evil”

Eager readiness to believe what others say
is the downfall of many who don’t search the
Holy Scriptures. There is only one proven
testament of the Lord, which contains over
300 Old Testament Bible prophecies that were
fulfilled by Jesus in the New Testament.

best? We can’t see where that path will
lead, but our Lord can.
It will only lead to a hurtful fall.
But we can ask for forgiveness. Get
back onto the right path – and take His
