March brings with it the winds that herald the end of winter and the beginning of spring. As the temperature begins to warm and the ground begins to thaw, earthworm casts appear, heralding the return of the robins.
This morning I awoke to finish an article I’d been working on showing parallels between:
· the Passover Feast (which commemorates the Exodus of Moses and God’s chosen people, Israel )-
· Our Passover Lamb, Jesus Christ –
· and the Rapture Resurrection of God’s people, the church.
I always check raptureready.com for the latest news first thing. Well, Lo and behold! I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the headlines.
A plague of locusts has invaded Egypt. The Passover observance is all about the plagues and the Exodus! I will explain this Holy Feast Observance shortly.

God’s appointed Feasts are “shadows of things to come.” Therefore, we need to know about them. Parallels to the Rapture, Christ’s Second Coming and the Millennium can all be found in these Holy Observances.
Colossians 2: 16-17 “Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.”
These rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality.
Significant victories or defeats concerning Israel have occurred on these same days throughout their history. ALL share the same pattern or theme.
Many are looking to the Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah) for the Rapture to occur. One reason is because another name it is known by is “no man knows the day or the hour.” Some believe the Rapture will happen at that time also because of the trumpets blown during that feast. But trumpets are blown at EACH FEAST. I want to point out that WE SHOULD BE READY AT ANY TIME. But given the signs that are increasing at an alarming rate, I feel that we don’t have long to wait for our deliverance from the wrath that is to come upon the earth.

ABOUT PASSOVER AND THE EXODUS
Passover is the first Holy Feast the Israelites observed. It is still observed and lasts for a week. It will occur at the end of this month, as will our Easter (Resurrection Day).
Each of God’s appointed Holy Feast Days (Leviticus 23) commemorates a significant event in the freedom from bondage and slavery in Egypt that God granted the people of Israel. God commanded them to honor these events each year. In this way they would be teaching their children of God’s sovereignty, who delivered Israel from destruction. God commanded them to sound a certain amount of trumpet blasts during each feast.
The sanctification of the Passover Lamb was given to the Jews during the original Exodus. God told each family to sacrifice a spotless (without blemish) lamb and sprinkle its blood on the lentils of their doors. They were to do this so that, when the angel of God passed through and saw the blood, their family would be (passed over) – spared from the tenth plague to befall Egypt for disobeying God’s warnings over and over, as given through His messenger, Moses. Each plague had progressively gotten worse as Egypt continued to refuse to obey God’s warning.
The eighth plague that descended on Egypt were locusts.
On the day of Passover thereafter, the Israelites would sacrifice the spotless lamb and prepare it. Then after sunset the feast would begin. They would serve the lamb at the feast, who had sacrificed its blood to save them.
JESUS IS OUR PASSOVER LAMB. HE WAS OUR ULTIMATE SACRIFICE. He shed His Blood to save us from our sins on the eve of Passover. He was resurrected on the third day. He is coming again, first in the Rapture – His promise to keep us from the “wrath to come.” Then after the tribulation He will return to earth to judge the wicked and set up His Kingdom here on earth for 1000 years. Afterwards Satan will lose his final battle, and there will be a new Heaven and a new earth, where we will live for eternity with the Lord.
