Well, it’s getting late and as tempting as it is to rag on this corrupt, wicked government who’s systematically destroying this country, the time for that has passed. This ship called ‘America’ is sinking fast and there’s no point in rearranging the deck chairs, so snap out of it! It’s been a marvelous voyage these last 237 years, but it’s over. So now what?
As with the demise of any society, a major game changer is coming which is being orchestrated by The Powers That Be (TPTB). Our fake economy, professionally manipulated by the Federal Reserve, WILL collapse. We’ll all continue to be monitored for any signs of dissent and will be dealt with accordingly; some of the more outspoken will, no doubt, meet with “unfortunate accidents.” Blah, blah, blah; we’ve all read the history books about what happens when a totalitarian system of government is implemented—this is being played out before our unbelieving eyes. However, that’s not what I’m talking about.
There are many Christians who are being warned by the Lord that HE is sending a ‘final warning,’ meant to shake the sheeple up, and hopefully cause some to turn to His saving grace before He calls His Bride home. What will this event be? I have no idea, but it will be catastrophic and it’s coming soon. Those of us who are ready and eager to go home have nothing to fear.
Psalm 91: 4-6 states, “He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.” See? Simple as that. We’ll be fine.
The rest of you who are trying to balance on the, do-I-want-to-be-a-Christian-today-or-act-like-the-rest-of-the-world, fence? Ehhh…not so much. You’re in for a rude awakening and I STRONGLY suggest you take the heavenly hint, fall to your knees in repentance and get your worldly rear end straightened out! This will be your last call before the train leaves the station and all hell breaks loose. What’s going to happen? Again, I have no idea but we’ll all know it when we see it, trust me.
Speaking of which, I recently learned something new about 2 Peter 3: 1-4. It states “This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, ‘Where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.’”
I always thought Peter was speaking of the unsaved scoffing. NO! He was referring to other Christians! Well, come to think of it, that makes perfect sense. Of course the heathen will scoff about the return of Christ, but they won’t refer to Biblical prophets or apostles as ‘fathers.’ No, it’s the Christians who would look to those people as their forefathers.
How many people do we hear in the ‘Christian’ community mock us for looking towards our “Blessed Hope?” The vast majority of churches in America rarely preach the simple gospel message, much less the more advanced teaching of the rapture of the church. Therefore, we who long for and wax poetic about it are looked at as ignorant, fringe lunatics who have an escapist mentality.
Well Bubba, you’d better believe I have an escapist mentality! You’re the ones who are nut-cases! Talk about ignorant, you have NO idea what lies directly in your path. Nah, you’re off in your worldly la-la land, going to your PTA meetings, power shopping at the mall, watching reality TV and gushing over Kimmy and Kanye’s little newborn female bastard. I bet if someone pointed a gun at your forehead, you’d sober up pretty quickly. (Yes, I said the “G” word! “Eeek! Someone save us!”)
Allow me to give you a face-slapping reality check. Listen up! Peter tells his audience that, in the beginning, this planet was covered with water and was eventually destroyed by it but the scoffers were ‘willingly ignorant’ of that. The word ‘willingly’ in the Greek means ‘resolved or determined.’ They chose to ignore and pay no attention to the teachings of how God punished and wiped out the wicked people with water. They couldn’t have cared less. What did that have to do with them?
Peter says in verse 7 “But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.” God destroyed evil mankind by water the first time. Next time, it will be by fire.
Substituting the Greek meanings, this would read something like this: But the heavens and inhabited earth, the abode of humans and animals, by this same divine reason or plan, are kept in store, carefully guarded for the day of the sentence of condemnation, punishment and utter destruction, which consists of eternal misery in hell for people who are destitute of reverential awe towards God.
Verse 10 says “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.” So much for all that ‘stuff’ you just got on sale!
Can you imagine what kind of heat this would take? Carbon is the element with the highest melting point: 8,117.6 degrees Fahrenheit! Peter said ‘the elements shall melt with fervent heat.’ No kidding! That sounds pretty dang fervent to me! When God makes new heavens and a new earth as He promised, it’s going to take THAT kind of cleansing fire to rid this planet of sin once and for all.
You Christians in Name Only, (CINO), had better understand that just because the rapture and second coming of Jesus Christ hasn’t happened yet, does NOT mean they won’t! Numbers 23: 19 clearly declares “God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent: hath He said, and shall He not do it? Or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good?”
Let’s go back to 2 Peter 3. God isn’t wasting His time up in heaven. He hasn’t forgotten His promise to remove His Bride from the wrath to come. Here is the answer for the CINO scoffers in verse 9: “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
I despise it when some imbecile verbally vomits, “What kind of God sends people to hell?” You blithering fool! God, Creator of the universe and all that is in it, has done EVERYTHING to keep you FROM going to hell. He created a perfect world. We screwed it up. Because of His great love for us, He came down from heaven, assumed a human body, lived a sinless life and laid down His life as the payment for OUR sin, so we would have the choice to accept or reject His offer of eternal life in heaven with Him.
God never sends people to hell! People CHOOSE to go there! We aren’t automatons; we have free will and are entirely responsible for where we spend eternity. There are only two options—heaven or hell. No annihilation. No soul sleep. No Nirvana. No reincarnation. He paid for our ticket home. Will you take it? It’s free.
I will tell you that, although salvation and rescue from hell is free, following Jesus is most assuredly not. If you plan to do it properly, it will cost you everything. You’ll have to let go of your death grip on the things of this earth and set your eyes on your new home in heaven. This planet is condemned anyway; it’s going to be destroyed and made new, so you won’t be able to take that boat or house or jewelry or prestige with you.
You can still go to heaven if you want to make it by the skin of your teeth, but you’ll spend forever regretting that you didn’t earn treasure for yourself. What would those things be? Most likely earning more privilege or honor before the Father; perhaps even a nicer mansion or material things that you could have been enjoying forever.
For instance, in Matthew 6:20-21, Jesus said “but lay up for yourselves treasure in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break in and steal: for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Besides, how do you think you’ll feel, standing before the precious Savior who suffered a horrible death to pay your way there, only to see loving, painful disappointment in His eyes at your selfishness, when He longed to reward you with SO much more?
Come on CINO’s, time is running out! Peter admonishes us in 2 Peter 3: 11-12 “Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?”
Again, using the Greek meanings of these verses, it would read: Since everything you see on earth and in heaven will be utterly destroyed by unimaginable heat, what kind of behavior should you exhibit? Should you be running around, acting and talking like the unsaved?? Or should you conduct yourself as if Jesus were looking over your shoulder every second?
Shouldn’t you WANT the Lord to return, or are you so attached to this world that you’d rather take a chance on staying here, only to end up having to face the Tribulation and antichrist?
Verse 14 says “Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot and blameless.” Believe me, you are going to need to be close to the Lord for what is about to happen. You will NEED to have His peace that passes understanding, or you’ll freak out and panic.
Finally, verses 17-18 reminds us “Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen”
Here it is in a nutshell, CINO’s: Straighten up! Put away your sinful, greedy earthly desires, politically correct values and raunchy speech. Repent before the One who saved you by His grace, and strengthen your faith in His protection and provision. We are going home very soon. Don’t whine that you weren’t warned!
