“The thing that sets the American Christian apart from all other people in the world…is that he will die on his feet before he will live on his knees.” –George Washington
George Washington firmly believed in God and in the precepts [laws] of God. He began his term as president with prayer, dedicating our government and our nation to God. The ironic thing about the quotation is that American Christians are no longer set-apart from all other people in the world.
The notion that they would die on their feet rather than live as servants begging on their knees, is doubtful today─because if that were the case, abominations taking place in the United States today would not be happening. They would not exist; for Christians would be standing firmly upon the Word of God.
Responses to a previous commentary about how Christians are never to tolerate evil because God never tolerates it, indicates that the notion of following God’s commandments is something most Christians do not believe is necessary.
If Christians today actually took a stand against evil, then why did professing Christians vote for the current president? Despite Obama’s pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, anti-religious freedom record─a record presumably abhorrent both to evangelicals and conservative Catholics, 42% of the Protestant Christian vote and 50% of the Catholic vote went for Obama in 2012.
It is stunning to think that more than six-million self-described evangelical Christians would vote for a president who supports abortion on demand; supported the same-sex marriage ballot initiatives that succeeded in Maryland, Maine and Washington; and was on the cover of Newsweek as America’s, “First Gay President.”
Did these self-professed believers surrender their biblical convictions in the voting booth, or did they never really have deep biblical convictions on the critical issues to begin with? This is what happens when the church is weak and fails to disciple believers to turn biblical faith into action.
In 1977 British journalist William Rees-Mogg saw that the West had lost its faith, and like a fish out of water or a drowning man was, “…desperately thrashing around for lack of oxygen. Since the time of Christ there has been no period in which there has been the same feeling of…spiritual impoverishment” (Idols for Destruction: The Conflict of Christian Faith and American Culture, Herbert Schlossberg, p. 2).
America’s idolatrous, post-Christian culture and narcissistic postmodern church are quickly following suit. There are as yet many faithful churches and evangelists, distinguished Christian lay people and missionaries here in America and around the world proclaiming Christ crucified for the sins of all, fulfilling their vocations with humility and integrity.
The culturally relevant church of “What’s happening now”: The contemporary church consisting of trendy, disaffected Roman and Eastern Orthodox Catholics and “new” Protestant evangelicals who practice a spirituality that is Christian in name only.
This movement has a “spirituality” that is trivial, irreverent, self-affirming, irrelevant, and permissive to the point of practicing abortion. The practice of abortion by Christians is spiritual prostitution to an idol, defiles God’s sanctuary and profanes His holy name.
God alone is the Author of life and it is not the creature’s prerogative to question the Creator’s wisdom in bringing to life a fellow human being at conception. Whenever men disregard their Creator’s wise judgment by destroying His innocent creation, they are serving another god. They are, in fact, spiritually prostituting themselves to the idolatrous “self” whom they believe is wiser in its value judgments.
Following is a list of abominations in the eyes of God. Passages of Scripture are referenced. Listed below: Some of the official Democratic Platform, which shows actions taken or allowed and/or legislation passed as a result. These actions have been taken on behalf of the American people who elected these officials. Our nation is/will be under the judgment of God for the following actions that Christians have allowed and/or condoned.
Biblical Abominations/Official Democratic Party Platform
1. Homosexual activity (Leviticus 18:22; 20:13)
Gay Rights, feminism, Don’t Ask Don’t Tell.
2. Idolatry, Rebellion, Witchcraft (Deuteronomy 7:25; 13)

Radical Marxism, feminism, AIDS, Excessive Taxation; Black Liberation Theology; Gay Rights; Environmental Extremists.

DNC platform instructs campaign to deliberately lie! Deliberately concealed and priorities! Saying whatever pleases the crowds without regard to truth. Deliberate deception. Not providing a valid birth certificate.

Declared listed abominations …are a right!
Banking crisis.
6. Justifying the wicked and condemning the just (Proverbs 17:15)
Clinging to Ayers, Rezco, Wright, Kenyan, while condemning conservatives and Christians! Making alliances with corrupt governments (Cuba, Venezula, Russia, Iran). They tried to destroy “Joe the Plumber” and anyone else who questioned their campaign or platform. Attacked Sarah Palin and her family.
7. Cheating in business (Proverbs 20:10 and Proverbs 20:23)

Proverbs 6:16-18 lists things, which are also abominations:
Haughty eyes:
Resisted efforts to verify presidential candidate’s US citizenship and his associates, etc.
A lying tongue:
Instructed campaign workers to deliberately lie. Concealed plans and priorities. Saying whatever appeases or pleases the crowds without regard to truth. Deliberately not providing a valid birth certificate for presidential candidate, no economic plan.
Hands that shed innocent blood:
Abortion, Infanticide
A heart that devises wicked schemes:
Radical Marxism; Black Liberation Theology
Feet that are swift in running to mischief:
Attacks on: “Joe the Plumber” (Jacksonville Reporter, Connecticut Reporter)
A false witness that speaketh lies:
Taxation plans, associations, scare tactics.
He that soweth discord among brethren:
Ignored conservatives. Not a consensus, Radical Marxism, Black Liberation Theology, Racism.
Envy/Covetousness
“Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.” (Winston Churchill, British orator, author and Prime Minister during World War II, 1874-1965)
“When I say that Marxism is based on envy, I mean that the glorious revolution of the proletariat…was really a promise to put a final end to all the conditions that make for envy.” (Joseph Epstein, author and former editor of The American Scholar, from Truths about Socialism, Coral Ridge Ministries, p. 66)
Envy/covetousness is the principle of negation and rebellion in the heart and soul of every person has played a part in this human dynamic ever since Cain murdered Abel. Dorothy Sayers, who translated Dante’s Inferno where pride and envy were punished in the lowest part of hell, called envy “the great leveler.” “At its worst…it is a destroyer, rather than have anyone happier than itself─it will see us all miserable together.”
Alice Baily was an apostate Christian who negated the living supernatural Triune God, heaven, hell and substitutionary atonement. She viewed other people as dehumanized “vehicles.” She taught that Christ’s kingdom is of this world, asserted her own divinity; embraced evolutionary conceptions, eugenics, abortion, revolutionary violence, communism and socialism.
Baily preferred “self ” to God and other people, and is one of the important contributors to the concepts and language of the New Age movement─a modern mixture of occultism, spiritism, eastern mysticism, subjectivism (everyone invents their own truth), philosophical monism (ultimate one substance), pantheism (everything is god) and self-centeredness.
The beginning of envy is pride: Preference for self over God and neighbor. A proud man or elite group of men i.e., Cain, Alice Baily, Karl Marx, Obama, global power complex) make idols (deify themselves) out of themselves, thereby assuming they possess honor and rights.
This is why pride leads to contempt for truth: Law, wisdom, norms, authority, standards, rules, institutions and other people in combination with any or all of the following: Lying, treachery, gluttony, greed, covetousness, lust, hate, cheating, promiscuity, sadism, sodomy, pederasty, pedophilia, adultery, theft and the dehumanization of other people resulting in psychological and physical slavery, population control schemes, abortion, brutality, terror, murder and even mass-murder or genocide.
In many respects, modern Americans and Western Europeans are the unwitting dupes of a coalition of monstrously envious/covetous elitist international bankers and corporatists, a global power complex that for over a century has been stealthily preparing its serfs to submit to a totalitarian world order that requires the liquidation of millions of people. it can’t happen in the U.S., one might ask… As long as Christians do nothing it will continue.
In Tragedy and Hope, Dr. Carroll Quigley deliberately revealed the existence of this snake of political and economic power poised to seize control of the planet. Right from the start said Quigley, the complex has been controlling and manipulating Left-wing groups: “The power that left-wingers exercised was never their own power or communist power but the power of the international financial coterie.”
Karen Hudes, a former insider at the World Bank, reported that a treacherous global financial system dominated by a small group of corrupt, power-hungry figures centered around the privately owned U.S. Federal Reserve dominate the pillars of America’s government and control the media to cover up its crimes:
“What is really going on is that the world’s resources are being dominated by this group,” she explained, adding, “The corrupt power grabber” has managed to dominate the media as well. They’re being allowed to do it.”
Envy/covetousness is a major theme in the Law, psalms, prophets and New Testament. Scripture combines envy with pride, covetousness and selfishness into a single manifestation of idolatry of self, and belief that there isn’t enough “good” to go around.
Hence the idolater’s burning compulsion to destroy by way of gossip, slander, ridicule, scorn and destructive criticism the good name and spiritual virtues of people who are the objects of envy as well as to consolidate all goods (i.e., recognition, honor, status, privilege, wealth, natural resources) into the hands of one or a privileged few. Envy/covetousness ultimately leads to abortion (child sacrifice) and other forms of murder including genocide.
Among the self-serving, social elite of Punic Carthage, for example, the institution of child sacrifice may have assisted in the consolidation and maintenance of family wealth, of eliciting favors from the gods and as a convenient way of disposing of unwanted and illegitimately conceived babies.
What does any of this have to do with today’s Christians and the modern church?
Everything.
Christians are being labeled as intolerant today but the fact is─nothing could be farther from the truth. Today’s “church” has tolerated far too much and therefore, society’s condition is an indictment on Christianity. This topic will be continued in Part Two.
The amazing thing is how quickly Christianity has been changed in such a short period of time.
Why has this happened?
Does it have something to do with the Word of God being undermined?
I am reminded of the heavy statements we find in the Old Testament when the children of Israel rebelled against God. For example, this is what we read in Deuteronomy:
“When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.
There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee. Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God” (Deuteronomy 18:9-13).
Straying away from God and being led by the gods is an abomination unto God, and will be judged. Perhaps it is time for Christians to take the Bible seriously.
