True Islam vs. True Christianity :: by Dan Payne

It is absolutely stunning today to witness just how many people are attempting to defend Islam’s stance on violence. They give an all new meaning to the following verse:

“But he that sinneth against Me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate Me love death” (Proverbs 8:36).

They love sin and hate God so much that they are willing to risk their own death by accepting and condoning the actions of Islamic fundamentalists, while at the same time condemning Christian fundamentalists.

How long can the ridiculousness of equating true Christianity with true Islam go unchecked by the masses?

This article will compare the true teachings of Islam with the true teachings of Christianity on the subject of violence, according to the holy book of each faith. It will not be complicated.

A brief introductory statement:

Just because some peaceful people claim to follow Islam does not mean that Islam is a peaceful religion.

Just because some violent people claim to follow Christianity does not mean that Christianity is a violent religion.

True Christianity as proclaimed in the New Testament, condemns violent murder.

True Islam as proclaimed in the Qur’an, condones violent murder.

Just because people attempt to distort this truth does not change it into a lie, disbelief does not turn truth into fiction.

Note: True Christianity is the definition of forgiveness and mercy as proclaimed in the New Testament. The New Testament announces the “Good News” that the law of the Old Testament has been fulfilled.

I have not heard of a new holy book that proclaims “good news” for Islam, have you?

Okay, that’s it for the opening statement, now let’s move on and study this subject in a bit more detail.

When non-Muslims quote certain verses in the Qur’an which advocate the slaughter of the enemies of Islam, a plea is usually made by Muslims to quote the verses in their proper context; to include the surrounding text as well. Okay, let’s do just that…

“They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks” (An-Nisa’ 4:89 – Yusuf Ali).

Renegade: a person who abandons religion; an apostate, heretic, dissenter, “a religious renegade.”

Killing people who are guilty of nothing more than a change of heart is what the Qur’an teaches, plain and simple. No amount of excuses can justify this brutal truth.

Question: Would those of you who do not want to pray to the Christian God of the Bible be happy if those of us who do, declared merciless Jihad against you?

Would you then defend our fundamentalist followers the same as you do Islamic fundamentalist followers? Would you then finally come to us and offer us peace?

The next two verses discuss what to do if the apostates offer peace, or return to disbelief:

“You will find others who wish to obtain security from you and [to] obtain security from their people. Every time they are returned to [the influence of] disbelief, they fall back into it. So if they do not withdraw from you or offer you peace or restrain their hands, then seize them and kill them wherever you overtake them. And those – We have made for you against them a clear authorization” (An-Nisa’ 4:91 – Sahih International).

The Qur’an “clearly authorizes” the pursuit and slaughter of anyone who does not want to make peace with you. You cannot “overtake” someone unless you are following them.

Overtake: catch up with and pass while traveling in the same direction.

Did Jesus command His disciples to take up their swords and pursue and kill those who turned away from Him?

“From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more. Then Jesus said to the twelve, ‘Do you also want to go away?’ After these things Jesus walked in Galilee; for He did not want to walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill Him” (John 6:66-67, 7:1).

No, He did not. Instead He commanded the following:

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you” (Matthew 5:43-44).

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13).

Again, the New Testament announces the “Good News” that the law of the Old Testament has been abolished. Thanks to the powerful sacrifice of Christ, forgiveness and mercy have taken the place of death and sacrifice.

“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring you to God” (1 Peter 3:18).

The New Testament does not condone killing in the name of protection from your enemies. The early Christians were brutally executed at the hands of Roman soldiers. They were commanded to submit their necks to the sword, not to commit their swords to the necks of their enemies.

“Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men” (Titus 3:1-2).

Again, a devout follower of Jesus Christ will submit his neck to the sword; however a devout follower of Muhammad will commit his sword to the neck.

“Please spare my life Mr. follower of Muhammad… I’ll do whatever you ask. Please don’t harm my body… I’ll say whatever you want.” How can people be so hardened as to defend that plea while at the same time condemning the following plea: “Please believe on Jesus Christ for eternal life”?

After a careful study of both the Qur’an and the New Testament, the following truth cannot be denied:

True followers of the Prophet Muhammad are authorized to kill their enemies.

True followers of Jesus Christ are not authorized to kill their enemies.

The defenders of Islam vigorously attempt to convince the non-Muslim world that theirs is a religion of peace. It is they who are who quoting their own scriptures out of context. The true scriptures of Islam teach that if you do not submit to their will for your life, they are required to slaughter you.

It’s their way or the highway (to hell). Of course they want to hide this true teaching of Islam from those of us who are currently free from their oppression. That way they can sucker the idiots among us to allow them to creep in close enough to launch a Jihad against us all.

A HUGE and glaring difference with Islam compared to Christianity is that the earthly followers of Islam are the ones who are authorized and requiredto physically send you to hell.

That’s the truth, plain and simple.

With what group would you feel more secure to have as your neighbors: True followers of Christ or the true followers of the Prophet Muhammad?

Is the question really that difficult to honestly answer?
