There are a few things needed to be addressed here today and one of them is the word usage of the following passages of Scripture. I have emphasized a few sentences here for a particular reason. But please note the Scripture before and after these passages are important to know.
Luke 21:8-11: “And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: For these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by. Then said he unto them, ‘Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.’”
2 Thessalonians 2:7: “For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.”
So now we see that there will be some very heavy-duty things going on after the Rapture of Jesus Christ takes place. I see a problem though many are not really paying any attention to what is truly being stated in these passages of Scripture. On that note let’s see what Webster’s Online Dictionary says about these words:
Pestilence — n. Specifically, the disease known as the plague; hence, any contagious or infectious epidemic disease that is virulent and devastating. And the related to; Black Death, affliction, ambulatory plague, bane, black death, black plague, blight, bubonic plague, bugbear, burden, calamity, cancer, canker, cellulo-cutaneous plague, crushing burden, curse, death, defervescing plague, destruction, disease, epidemic, epiphytotic, epizootic, evil, glandular plague, grievance, harm, hemorrhagic plague, infliction, larval plague, murrain, nemesis, open wound, pandemia, pandemic, pest, pesthole, plague, plague spot, pneumonic plague, premonitory plague, running sore, scourge, septicemic plague, siderating plague, thorn, torment, tuberculosis, vexation, visitation, white plague, woe.
Point One: For the purpose of this specific article, I have emphasized several things above that I would like you to make a note of. This is not some endeavor to scare you, but then again, if the truth does scare you, then maybe it’s all the more important. I must also make note that some of these afflictions are of an older terminology, yet they are still around these days.
It would be of benefit to anyone reading this to understand, that many of these were almost totally eradicated since the turn of this century and many in the last century. It would also be of interest to note that, many of these afflictions are suddenly returning and causing all kinds of problems all over again. Typically, those that have returned cause more trouble now, than before, because many of these have become antibiotic resistant.
Take for instance tuberculosis and other respiratory disease processes, or maybe certain cancers. Even though we have created an infrastructure for things like waste removal, or in the cleansing of our drinking water, we have the ability to foresee huge problems, IF these things fall apart. The result will be catastrophic to say the least. We can also see that our waterways, that provide clean water for us, are already drying up and there are already famines and droughts across our nation.
One of the things I never hear about, are all the wild animals that utilize these same water ways. What will be the end result of a severe drought on them, as we continue to squander our resources? How will people deal with the feral animals that begin to come to our homes to seek out water? Stop and remember they are directly influenced by “survival of the fittest.” Not only will they be attacking people, but what of their malnourishment, resulting in disease. That will in turn have a direct result on the parasites they carry and harbor, internally as well as externally.
Point Two: For the moment, I would like to address the passage above:
2 Thessalonians 2:7: “For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.”
There are some Bible students that already know that this passage of Scripture is referring to the Holy Spirit of God. That is the “HE” it is talking about and we must understand that this singular sentence is of critical importance. In our everyday language it says: The mystery of SIN is already at work, at this moment in the world. And we are already able to see a great deal of that taking place everywhere. There is no need for guesswork at this point in time, it is here and now.
Moving on to the emboldened area now: He (Holy Spirit) who allows or does not allow will continue as HE has until HE (Holy Spirit) is taken out of the way; now that is truly saying a lot here, but I must stress, it is important to truly understand what will happen. So in the vernacular, we can see something different here, that is the scary part.
It is so important to ask ourselves what do we really know is going to happen just before the Rapture, and then after the Rapture.
We must realize that since the industrialization of this country, we have been using more and more resources and few people have been taking any real note of this fact. We see that we have been taking water from our rivers and lakes and underground reservoirs at an alarming rate, thus the droughts that we are beginning to see. We have also taken an account (to a small degree) of how much pollution we have dumped in our waters and on our lands, even in our oceans.
So the question is how long can we do this sort of thing, before it comes back and bites us in the butt? Here is another question. If our rivers are beginning to dry up, where did all that water come from in the first place? Something to really consider here, right? Ya think maybe the Lord was providing it for us? So, if the Holy Spirit (He) which is God is removed…where will all the fresh water come from then? Where will all the feral animals get they’re water from? Do you think there will be some problems for the people left behind to deal with?
Have you even taken note of a sick animal? What do they do? They seek out water and they do this because they know it is their lifeline. If there is no water or too little of it, then they become malnourished and sick. The animals they prey upon will be dying out as well, how will this affect the parasites that afflict the larger animals? Then we see people going out and actively searching for more water. Who are the hunted then, what will these people pick up along the way, as far as parasites from the malnourished and dying feral animals?
We already know that after the Rapture, the infrastructure of the civilized world will begin to crumble and in time the world will resort to how our ancestors lived, before the Industrial Age. You must also remember that after the Holy Spirit is removed, literally, all hell (evil) will break loose!
I had to make note of how many people are actually bitten every year by toxic spiders and the reason for that is, I hate bugs ever since my days overseas. Be advised here we have only been talking about disease, feral animals and the simple lack of some resources. We have not even touched on some of the other things that are going to literally destroy humanity during the Tribulation. In future articles I will address these as well. It is of great importance that we see the word “Tribulation” is the most precise word…for that period of time.
How much better will it be, to be accepted of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, than to remain here with all these horrible things?
