“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God” (James 4:4).
When you choose your “friend,” you’re also choosing your enemy; God or the world. The enemies of God know who their friends are. It follows that many of these vocally unsaved also know—with a supernatural instinctive intuitiveness—who they’re in opposition against.
Have you noticed that seemingly disparate philosophies like Marxism and Islam have chosen the same enemies? Throw in unaffiliated atheists, liberals and pagans; the enemies list is unchanged. Jesus explains it perfectly:
“If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you” (John 15:18-19).
Here’s where it gets difficult. Christians are to operate by very different motivations than non-Christians.
“But I say unto you, ‘Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; that ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust’” (Matthew 5:44-45).
That’s a hard teaching and goes against our “eye for an eye” nature. Quite simply, where there’s love, even in a resolute stand against evil, so there is a follower of Christ and a denier of self. Are there appropriate times for righteous indignation? Yes, of course but be careful. It becomes easy in the heat of the moment to use righteous indignation as license to engage the lost on their terms (with malice and rage).
Don’t do it.
“Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be” (James 3:10).
Remember, Jesus died for the lost, as all of us once were and some reading this might still be. Christ’s offer of love, sacrifice and salvation extends to every human until the last breathe of life is expelled. Pity those deceived unto damnation. They have the same foe as you—the devil, yet they perceive him not and rally willingly to the sole purpose of his lies, which is their destruction.
You needn’t worry about judging the morality of an issue by your own standards. The Bible lays it all out for us by the divine revelation of the Righteous Judge and Law-Giver. What’s required of us is comprehension and commitment. Yes friend, we are expected and commanded to recognize the difference between right and wrong. Stop pretending otherwise.
Some attack this rightful discernment as “judging” since it brings the subject of sin to their minds for what it is. Now nobody likes to be told they’re wrong, especially those who undeniably are. They’ll argue the point anyway.
The words of Harry Truman come to mind here. President Truman was giving a political speech when someone in the audience shouted out, “Give ‘em hell, Harry!” Truman responded,
“I never give them hell. I just tell the truth and they think its hell.”
Biblical truth is not hell, but denying and rejecting it certainly leads there.
This nation, which claims to be predominately Christian, is not just numb to God’s truth, its dumb to the truth. Unopened Bibles across the country are a root cause of Christian ignorance and indifference.
Here’s a prophetic situation report on what’s happening.
“And the dragon (Satan) was wroth (enraged) with the woman (Israel), and went to make war with the remnant of her seed (Jews), which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ (Christians)” (Revelation 12:17).
Did you get that? The nation of Israel, the Jewish people and Christians are the targeted enemies of a world coalescing under satanic control. There are approximately 14 million Jews worldwide. The majority residing in the U.S. and Israel. Christians, by virtue of our larger numbers, are the most persecuted people in the world; murdered, tortured, and enslaved every day because of our faith. Notice I didn’t write their faith, I wrote our faith.
This needs to be personal for you. I write this as reminder and warning. We, along with our Jewish brothers and sisters, are the hated to be exterminated from the earth.
The United States is no longer the good guys riding to the rescue. That fanciful image has been changing for some time now, for decades—you just didn’t notice. These last six years have been especially transformative. We are the state sponsor of terrorism. ISIL/ISIS, The Muslim Brotherhood, Al-Qaeda, Hamas and others; we arm and support all of these Muslim barbarians. If this is difficult to accept, do your own research and discover for yourself.
They are means to an end. Our end.
Not surprisingly, Muslim coddler Barry Soetoro, aka Barack Hussein Obama, is now openly showing his contempt for Israel. No longer will the U.S. be Israel’s staunch defender at the U.N. Barry’s administration purposely declassified top secret papers on Israel’s nuclear capabilities for the purpose of exposing Israel to its enemies. Who knows what other information has been passed along and to whom.
The U.S. is in a unique and powerful position to betray Israel; the apple of God’s eye.
On a personal level of loathing, Barry’s political operatives went to Israel at US taxpayer expense in an effort to unseat Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu during recent elections there. Thank God, they failed.
You see, Mr. Netanyahu addressed Congress without King Barry’s imperial permission. Even worse, he dared question the farce—the negotiations with Iran to supposedly stop their nuclear weapons program.
How bad is this deal? Dr. Ahmad Al-Faraj penned an article in the Saudi Daily Al-Jazirah. It ended with this:
I will conclude by saying the following: Since Obama is the godfather of the prefabricated revolutions in the Arab world, and since he is the ally of political Islam, [which is] the caring mother of [all] the terrorist organizations, and since he is working to sign an agreement with Iran that will come at the expense of the U.S.’s longtime allies in the Gulf, I am very glad of Netanyahu’s firm stance and [his decision] to speak against the nuclear agreement at the American Congress despite the Obama administration’s anger and fury. I believe that Netanyahu’s conduct will serve our interests, the people of the Gulf, much more than the foolish behavior of one of the worst American presidents. Do you agree with me?
This is a Saudi Arabian opining in a mainstream Saudi Arabian publication. The Saudis don’t want Iran getting nuclear weapons because they know that they’ll use them not just on Israel, but likely on Saudi Arabia as well. Barry knows this too, but wants to allow Iran nuclear weapons anyway, and give them billions in U.S. taxpayer money to boot. Diabolical, isn’t it.
Can it get any worse? Well, uh, actually, it can and it has. The Republican-controlled Senate is working on a bill that would allow them to monitor and okay Barry’s negotiations with Iran. Here’s the kicker: The Constitution already requires treaties, which the president can negotiate to pass the Senate with a two-thirds majority to become law. If a treaty doesn’t go through this process it’s non-binding on the U.S. That’s right, null and void.
Yet the Senate is seeking to override this constitutional requirement, with Republican Speaker of the House Boehner’s support. The gist of the proposed bill is that Barry could veto the Senate’s simple majority disapproval of his negotiations and thus the two-thirds consent required by the Constitution to approve the treaty would be effectively reversed, instead requiring a two-thirds Senate majority to override a presidential veto.
Even if this passes and Barry signs it as he says he will, Article II, Section 2, Clause 2 in the Constitution, pertaining to treaty requirements, is still in full effect. Those who vote for this unconstitutional bill are committing treason. Disgustingly, for many in Congress and certainly in the case of the usurper in the White House, it will be a case of once again committing treason.
Let’s not forget that it’s been reported that last fall Barry threatened to order U.S. military assets to engage, and shoot down Israeli warplanes that were tasked with taking out Iran’s nuclear facilities in an impending operation. You read that right. Barry was willing to attack an ally to save a self-proclaimed enemy of America and threat to the world.
Recent history lesson: It was Iran that supplied shaped, explosively formed penetrator (EFPs), to insurgents in Iraq that killed US forces there prior to our pull-out. The molten, copper projectile was specifically designed to be used against our armored vehicles, with deadly effect.
Israel, abandoned by all others, will be forced to rely on God. The U.S. was never Israel’s security. We were but a tool in God’s hand. Take that tool away and God yet remains. When Israel comes back to Him one final time and accepts Jesus as their Messiah, they will be saved spiritually and physically. Until that time of desperation, their trouble will only increase.
Rock bottom is great place to call out to God since you’re already on your knees.
The enemies of Israel will be judged by God and destroyed, even when that enemy was once an ally. You understand the implications.
Since I’ve touched on Constitutional law above, allow me to do so again as it relates to the ongoing war against Christians in this country, courtesy of the militant homosexual agenda.
The recently passed law in Indiana providing religious freedom in the Hoosier state (nullifying local ordinances that require businesses to participate in homosexual weddings, as example) was immediately and savagely attacked by the combined forces of evil, from empty-headed entertainers to the foaming degenerates in media, public office and even private industry. How dare an individual be able to determine what’s right and wrong and be able to follow the dictates of their conscience.
Freedom. Isn’t that the concept that brought people to the new world? The First Amendment in the Bill of Rights states:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Individual state constitutions contain similar variations of this amendment. Indiana’s certainly does.
Government shall not prohibit the free exercise of religion or curtail the freedom of speech, yet this is exactly what the issue of “homosexual marriage’ is really about; forcing acceptance and even participation in this immoral lifestyle by threat or use of government force.
God’s law doesn’t support this, organic law doesn’t support it, history doesn’t support it, nor do most Americans, as public votes have proven. No problem. Just find the right activist judge to reinvent the constitution and you can “interpret” whatever you want.
As founded, our government is to follow the will of the people, not subvert that will. We’re well past that quaint concept, aren’t we?
Evil and tyranny are inseparable partners.
The new Indiana law, while well-intentioned, should be unnecessary. The correct action is having these so-called “anti-discrimination” ordinances struck down as unconstitutional, which they plainly are. Unfortunately this puts us back into the minefield of abusive judicial activism for that determination.
By passing one statute to invalidate another, that itself is unconstitutional, serves to codify that legislative bodies can pass what they will without restraint. That’s how a democracy works, not a republic. We are a Republic.
Exclusions for churches and religious organizations, again well-intentioned, are a troubling compromise with evil. All people, all individuals, have the God-given right to determine what’s right or wrong, whether religiously affiliated or not.
Do people make bad choices? Yes. I’m not championing bad choices, I’m defending the God-given choice of self-determination. Some eyes just glazed over. Did I just infer the D-word?
Discrimination: an act or instance of making a distinction.
We’ve been conditioned to see “discrimination” as bad. Is it? It can be. It can also be good. Let me ask you, would you allow a paroled pedophile to babysit your children? If not, this is making a wise distinction on your part; you’ve discriminated. Good for you that you understand that not all behaviors are equal. Deviant behavior is just that.
Discrimination is morally right or wrong depending on how it’s exercised. But whether right or wrong, it’s the individual’s choice to make and God to judge. Not government.
One may indeed be answerable to illegitimate government for Christian ideas and actions in these lawless, evil days. But first, foremost and forever, we are accountable to God.
The world is looking less and less friendly.
“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31).
