None of the prophetic signals occurring almost hourly more powerfully illustrate how near the rise of Antichrist this world is at present than does the subject of the following article, in my view.
The rise of the first beast of Revelation chapter 13 is on fast-track to fulfillment. The son of perdition’s kingdom is almost complete –the666 economic power base I term the United States of Antichristnearly in place.
That most evil empire ever to come upon Planet Earth could begin the satanic process of enslaving this generation within a fraction of a second. The Rapture of the Church could happen at any moment!
Change that was promised as part of the American presidential campaign leading to the 2008 election of Barack Hussein Obama is rapidly taking on form and substance. Its monstrous reality no longer lurks in the shadows of diplomatic obfuscation designed to misdirect and divert. I am convinced that we are witnessing the emergence of the end-times entity Daniel and John foresaw under divine revelation.
Acceleration of developments in every area of US global interaction brings focus and magnification to the fact that America is deliberately and masterfully being diminished—brought into configuration to produce a governing authority of immensely ominous scope and power.
Prophecy students have for decades puzzled over the fact that smaller nation-states like Libya, Syria, and even Egypt are mentioned as having prophetic prominence in the Bible. Yet, the greatest superpower ever to exist on planet earth doesn’t rate even a slight mention, except obliquely, perhaps, in Ezekiel 38:13, as one of the “young lions.” What happens to the great United States of America that relegates it to a nonplayer as prophecy comes to culmination?
The church today—and there is but one people within that designation: all truly born-again believers in Jesus Christ—is for the most part deliriously happy within its almost total ignorance of biblically prophesied things to come. The majority doesn’t know about what is prophetically scheduled to happen to their world. They don’t want to know, and are protected in their ignorance by pastors and teachers who harbor the same attitude.
Those within the church who do know and care are mostly trepidatious about the prospects for America and the world. The trepidation ranges the spectrum from concern that the US will suffer total economic meltdown and degeneration into chaos and anarchy that will bring about dictatorship and incarceration in FEMA camps to fears that America will become so weakened that the nation will be nuked out of existence by the likes of Russia, China, and even maybe a soon-to-be nuclear Iran.
If I may be so audacious, I will propose the third possibility I see clearly now as the terminus for this once-great republic. To be honest, I have suspected this will be the scenario for America all along, and have written of my suspicion in a number of essays.
I believe the change promised by the current presidential administration, as part of that being orchestrated over the past several decades, is at this very moment bringing the US into the foretold union to be ruled by history’s most lawless tyrant. The disregard by this president for the US Constitution, in itself a totally lawlessmodus operandi, in conjunction with a Congress that hasn’t the fortitude to oppose this iniquitous action, is proof we are in the time of America’s demise and Antichrist’s ascent.
No, I am not saying Barack Obama is the prophesied first beast of Revelation chapter 13. This president, however, in concert with several administrations previous, and, with the help of the many globalist movers and shakers over the past decades and even centuries, is complicit in forcing this apex nation into the globalist mold.
The force behind the globalist agenda has been incessantly at work to impress upon the American populace—and the world at large—that the United States is an unjust, even a criminally oppressive, state.
Most recently, for example, we can look at the ramped-up harangue US Senator Dianne Feinstein perpetrated against the Central Intelligence Agency, charging that America inhumanely deals with prisoners—particularly prisoners, her harangue implies, of the Muslim sort. The truth is that while the “torture” with which the CIA is charged includes such things as sleep deprivation, loud, Western music, and hanging pictures of the prisoners’ families on their cell walls—and, yes, even some waterboarding—Muslim terrorist organizations, and even Islamist governments worldwide, mutilate and behead men, women, and children—even infants—in the cause of their religion.
American mainstream media rehashes years-old reports of this “torture” by America’s agencies that are charged with protecting us, while scarcely covering even the most heinous atrocities perpetrated by the Islamist terrorist states.
The lie that America is brutal and unjust has at its center that white Europeans came and, through murderous thievery, stole land from the Native Americans. These “oppressors,” the slanderous fable goes, were the same who brought to America slaves from Africa and other places to work the hapless people so the oppressors could live luxuriant lives of opulence.
Manifest Destiny is in the mind of those who detest this nation’s history—which includes a national heart of doling out unprecedented largesse to people in need—the equivalent of falsely legitimized rape, pillage, and plunder.
This is still going on, according to those who seek “social justice.” At least, they claim, this is the mindset of the majority of Caucasian people in America today. Most all of these modern-day “white oppressors,” it is declared through sometimes nearly insane-sounding rant, are of the conservative, Christian mindset. That is, they hold to constitutional principles they see as centered in biblical truth, thus are bigoted, narrow-minded, and exclusive in their desire to lord it over the people of color in the nation.
In this way, the seed is planted deep into the collective conscience of America that “change” must be made. That is the great “hope” to which those who won the 2008 presidential election aspire.
Those in league with the seekers of this specious “social justice”—the entertainment media and the liberal bastions of academia, as well as the mainstream journalists of America, and, for that matter, the world—equate Christian morality with being cruel, oppressive, bigoted, and narrow-minded. They agree and fight each and every hour of each day to bring the fundamentalist view of Christianity into the realm of punishable “hate speech.” They want no talk of Jesus Christ as the arbiter of morality and social justice, like the Founding Fathers (all white men) often implied within their writings upon the foundation of this nation.
Of course, it is obvious that this unending invective against our nation is a soul-darkened ideological bent infused within the self-appointed intellectual champions of the downtrodden in America and around the globe.
This is why there must be formed a global unity of mind and thought focused in a changed direction. This is the reason there is great movement toward the so-called New World Order, as given by the words of some well-known personages.
Dr. Henry Kissinger wrote in the Los Angeles Times, July 18, 1993, in the lead-up to Congress being challenged to sign onto the North America Free Trade Association (NAFTA): “What Congress will have before it is not a conventional trade agreement but the architecture of a new international system…a first step toward a new world order.”
Many notables on the geopolitical list of who’s who have expressed their desire to bring about what I term the “United States of Antichrist.” Some of their quotes follow:
- December 7, 1988—In an address to the UN, Mikhail Gorbachev calls for mutual consensus: “World progress is only possible through a search for universal human consensus as we move forward to a new world order.”
- 1991—President George Bush praises the New World Order in a State of the Union message: “What is at stake is more than one small country, it is a big idea—a new world order…to achieve the universal aspirations of mankind…based on shared principles and the rule of law….The illumination of a thousand points of light….The winds of change are with us now.”
- October 30, 1991—President Gorbachev, at the Middle East peace talks in Madrid, states: “We are beginning to see practical support. And this is a very significant sign of the movement towards a new era, a new age….We see both in our country and elsewhere…ghosts of the old thinking….When we rid ourselves of their presence, we will be better able to move toward a new world order…relying on the relevant mechanisms of the United Nations.”
- 1992—President Bush, addressing the General Assembly of the UN, said: “It is the sacred principles enshrined in the United Nations charter to which the American people will henceforth pledge their allegiance.”
- 1993—Strobe Talbott (Bill Clinton’s roommate at Oxford) receives the Norman Cousins Global Governance Award for his 1992Time article, “The Birth of the Global Nation,” and in appreciation for what he has done “for the cause of global governance.” President Clinton writes a letter of congratulations that states: “Norman Cousins worked for world peace and world government….Strobe Talbott’s lifetime achievements as a voice for global harmony have earned him this recognition….He will be a worthy recipient of the Norman Cousins Global Governance Award. Best wishes…for future success.”
- April, 1995—Hosni Mubarak, Egyptian president, in the New York Times: “The renewal of the nonproliferation treaty was described as important ‘for the welfare of the whole world and the new world order.’”
- October 2, 2001—Prime Minister Tony Blair, United Kingdom, in a speech at the Labour Party Conference: “This is a moment to seize. The kaleidoscope has been shaken, the pieces are in flux, soon they will settle again. Before they do, let us re-order this world around us.”
- April 5, 2013—Vice President Joe Biden, in a speech to the Import Export Bank, says: “The affirmative task before us is to create a New World Order.”
Again, the New World Order will find difficulty coming into being until the apex nation—the one to which all nations of the world are intricately linked through the almighty dollar—can be brought down so that it melds with the others. As long as the United States holds the key to dominance, especially economic dominance, the move back to Babel—the building of the one-world order the master planners want—cannot begin to happen in earnest.
We are witnessing, therefore, the destruction of the nation from within. America’s infrastructure has been under intensive attack by the Lucifer-inspired one-world builders since its inception. But, the attack especially became manifest in 1962 when the US Supreme Court decided that prayer be forbidden in public schools. This assault was followed by Bible reading being banished in public schools in 1963. This resulted in the ramping up of the separation of church and state sophistry that opened the way for evolution-based, secular humanism to infect children’s minds while in the classrooms—without opposition.
The deliberately planned financial attack—in my opinion—that generated severe economic chaos in 2007, bringing about unprecedented (supposed) remedies, was an assault intended to forever change the course of America—and in many ways. It was an assault by the powers of Ephesians chapter 6 carried out by human, globalist, minions.
America’s Come-Uppance
The United States is demonstrably at the top of the list of the most-hated nations on earth, second only to the tiny Jewish state of Israel. All one needs do is to read news of world events within foreign press accounts, no matter the country, to determine the disdain for America. The US mainstream news conglomerate leads the way in pointing to US ugly Americanism.
We recall recent events in which this nation is portrayed as at fault, even though all evidence was to the contrary. One example is the matter of the attack on the American diplomatic headquarters in Benghazi, Libya.
The president and his secretary of state led the way in proclaiming the attack on the embassy and the murder of four Americans to be not the fault of Islamist terrorists, but the fault of a pitiful, small-time filmmaker of YouTube videos. The strong implication for months by the White House and State Department was that it was the disrespect shown Mohammed, the founder of Islam, in the video that set off a spontaneous demonstration.
In fact, the YouTube video that is purported to have slammed Mohammed was scarcely viewed throughout the Internet. The implication was that it was America’s fault that the embassy was attacked, and that the diplomatic employees were murdered because of America’s insensitivity to others around the world in allowing such disrespect to fester within our ranks. Christianity’s “one way to salvation,” these State Department types wanted to convey, bore a big part of the guilt for the Benghazi attack because of the religious “intolerance” harbored by such a large number of American citizens.
Such surreptitious propagandizing is behind the refusal of this administration and mainstream news media to ever ascribe guilt to Islam in the ongoing, horrendous acts of terrorism that are in every case based on religious fervor.
The American press joined the White House and State Department, as well as all other US detractors, in this convoluted slant on what happened in Libya.
The truth is that a group of Muslim terrorists, because they hate the United States for its support of the even more-hated Israel, and because of worldwide Islamist desire to make everyone bow the knee to Allah, planned, then carried out, the attack. It had nothing to do with a small-time, unknown video maker or his unknown video.
I think it is again demonstrative of the fact that the entire matter was used to diminish America’s influence in this world that is rapidly headed for dramatically changed global order. Unless the United States is brought down, that change will be difficult, if not impossible, to effect.
It is obvious to me that forces outside of America and, even more troubling, forces within the ranks of our government at the highest levels, believe it is high time that the United States be brought to account for the perceived wrongs they insanely believe this great nation has perpetrated. The changes they seek will soon allow the master manipulator of all things evil to achieve—at least for a time—the new order of things he desires for humanity.
This gestating global entity is what I term “the United States of Antichrist.”
The United States of Antichrist
The nation saw an absolutely amazing transformation take place in December of 2014. If such a thing had been even considered by a US president pre-2008, the result would have been impeachment at the very least, I’m convinced.
Yet, the deed was done and, except for mouthy punditry for a few days and a few expressions of incredulity by some within and outside of Congress, the matter was done and America’s configuration dramatically changed. Barack Obama indeed planned “change,” and he, indeed, put it into effect. I have a distinct feeling that “we ain’t seen nothin’ yet,” as Yogi Berra or somebody once said.
I refer to the embrace of the communist gulag called Cuba. With a simple “memorandum”—not even a presidential executive order, Mr. Obama declared, in effect, that this regime that has mass murdered all opposition and nearly set up the United States for nuclear destruction is a good citizen, worthy of our trust and—well—largesse.
For that is what Cuba will now become: a massive welfare recipient of American largesse—largesse that we can no longer afford, if we ever could truly afford worldwide giveaway of our Treasury.
We are more than $100 trillion in debt, when extrapolated out to its ever-increasing endpoint.
But, we have—that is—Mr. Obama and the New World Order builders have—reached out with the wealth America doesn’t have in order to hug Raúl Castro, or whomever is in charge of the dictatorship these days. It is a move, I believe, dictated by the powers that be who took this young, inexperienced, unaccomplished academic community organizer and made him president of the United States for this very purpose, and other purposes yet to come.
It was pure genius—demonic genius, I suspect—to take a young, charismatic, talented man of color and play his candidacy off the American psyche, where guilt over the long-past days of slavery still hang heavily within the national conscience.
Well…the people of this nation, wallowing in entertained, fat-and-happy apathy, have culpability, as well. I want to be fair to our would-be globalist masters. The Americans among them each has but a single vote, I presume. They couldn’t do it alone.
Mr. Obama has singlehandedly—with strings pulled from somewhere even above his pay grade, in my opinion—set the American economy into a slow-motion collapse. It is absolutely astonishing that the proverbial house of cards hasn’t come crashing down in a catastrophic plunge. I believe it is the Lord Himself who is in control of this strange, financial bubble of potential disaster—a bubble that is being prevented from bursting until prophetic alignments are all as has been foretold.
What we are experiencing is a “change” that is designed to shift the movement of union of this continent—even this hemisphere—into high gear. It is perhaps a move more dynamic than any other of recent years to accelerate a major prophetic development. This alignment is what I term, again, “The United States of Antichrist.”The following is how God’s Holy Word describes my United States of Antichrist.
The prophecy of which I write is wrapped up in the alignment of nations as they will be at the time Christ’s Second Advent nears.
And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. (Revelation 17:12–13)
Daniel the prophet, like John to whom the Revelation was given, saw the entity that would emerge at the time near the end. Daniel saw it as the lowest extremities of the great, metallic image of Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar’s prophetic dream.
Daniel told the king the following about what the feet of this prophetic dream-image involved.
And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. (Daniel 2:41–44)
Daniel, and later John, saw these ten kings and kingdoms as the last world power that will be ruled over by the first beast of Revelation chapter 13. That strange, composite behemoth is described through John’s telling of the Revelation:
And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. (Revelation 13:1)
This composite monster, although symbolic in its representation of planet earth’s final world power, presents a terrifying image of what it is to become once it moves onto the end-times world. Daniel further describes the monster, as well as the personage who will be at its head:
After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. (Daniel 7:7–8)
There can be no serious contention with the fact that Bible prophecy predicts a final world power that will consist of ten separate, yet unified in some way, entities. Regardless of whether or not one believes the Bible, one cannot deny that such a final world governing monster is prophesied to come on the scene at some point. It is foretold to be all consuming, and a monstrosity that is headed by the most mesmerizing orator of all time—and the most blasphemous.
Prophetic Empire Emerging
The geopolitical factors for the soon fulfillment of Bible prophecy are in alignment. Israel is again a nation, hated by practically all other nations, and Jerusalem, with the Temple Mount at the center of potential for all-out war, is headline stuff daily. Russia and Iran are poised to fulfill their destinies as the nucleus of the Gog-Magog force of Ezekiel 38–39. Just as dramatic as these, in my view, is the emergence of a number of distinct global economic trading blocs.
I consider these that I term the developing United States of Antichristto be the reviving Roman Empire, from which the beast of Revelation chapter 13 will emerge.
Our own, once-great-and-sovereign nation is the key factor in ultimately determining how swiftly Daniel and John’s composite world government will come into fulfillment.
We can understand just how important the United States is to the rest of the nations of earth by thinking on America’s chief Cold-War nemesis at this very hour.
Just weeks ago, Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin, was threatening to cut off oil and gas to Europe. He blustered in his macho way to tell the West that their sanctions imposed for his bellicosity against Ukraine, etc., would only hurt the West and harden Russia’s resolve.
In addition to leading the imposition of sanctions against Putin’s saber-rattling, the US administration, it is almost a certainty in my mind, twisted the arms of the Saudi royal family to drop the price of oil through market manipulations. Thus, the powers that be, even above our president’s own input, achieved their two-fold purpose:
1) It cut the legs out from under Putin’s oil sales because he cannot compete with such decreases. Almost overnight, the ruble fell precipitously against the dollar. The fall and its ramifications were so great that some heads within European governments want sanctions eased or lifted so as to save Russia from possible economic collapse.
2) It greatly set back the burgeoning fracking industry in America’s North Dakota and other regions, an action intended to further bring America’s economic base to an ever-lessening position of dominance.
So, Lucifer is using the most powerful nation to ever be upon earth to bring all others into his desired one-world configuration—the configuration that was his desire at Babel all of those millennia ago. At the same time, he is managing to diminish America, thereby bringing her into conformation with the New World Order he is building. I think his demented genius is evident at every turn as of late.
Already, the construction of the United States of Antichrist is far advanced. Although the individual regional entities that comprise the quickly evolving global-governing power to come is in constant flux, the skeleton that will soon take on prophesied end time’s flesh is in view today. Here is how it looks at a quick glance:
- European Union
- North American Union
- South American Union
- African Union
- Mediterranean Union
- Eurasian Economic Union
- Gulf Cooperation Council (Arab states of the Gulf)
- South Asian Association
- Asia Pacific Union
- Caribbean Community
Ten Toes Examined Closely
We will look at what I consider to be at least the formative stage of each of these ten toes that Daniel the prophet saw prophetically in his vision of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream of the metallic man-image. Even if these trading regions under their present names are not their final nomenclature, the land masses encompassed are very likely the geographical areas that will ultimately comprise the ten world economic blocs of the United States of Antchrist.
European Union—The European Union (EU) currently has twenty-eight members, mostly countries within the continent. According to Wikipedia:
In 2012, the EU had a combined GDP of 16.073 trillion international dollars, a 20% share of theglobal gross domestic product (in terms of purchasing power parity). According to Credit Suisse Global Wealth Report 2012, the EU owns the largest net wealth in the world; it is estimated to equal 30% of the $223 trillion global wealth.[i]
It represents what many prophecy students of the futurist view believe to be the region out of which Antichrist (the first beast of Revelation 13) will emerge. This belief/view is based upon Daniel 9:26–27:
And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
The “prince that shall come” refers to Antichrist, who will confirm the deadly covenant of peace of Isaiah 28:15 and 18 with Israel and, in effect, the world. This action will begin the Tribulation Period—Daniel’s seventieth week (a seven-year period) leading to Armageddon and Christ’s Second Advent.
We see the forming of the EU and the development of the ten-region economic spheres as the reviving of the ancient Roman Empire. The EU is observably, in my estimate, the prototype for the North American Union and for all of the other economic blocs.
Much of America’s architecture and law—even government structure—is quite similar to that of ancient Rome. Sadly, the culture and society of America are also declining much along the lines of Rome’s decline and fall.
The EU’s influence in today’s geopolitical power brokerage is manifest in this brief news excerpt:
December 19, 2014—The European Union’s unanimous resolve to punish Russia for its aggression in Ukraine appeared to be cracking as French, German, Austrian and Italian leaders voiced concern at an alliance summit of inflicting too much pain on Moscow as its economy tumbles.
French President Francois Hollande was the first to step out of the 28-nation bloc’s collective drive for further sanctions on Russia when they were discussed at a summit in Brussels on Thursday night…
If Russian President Vladimir Putin delivers on his recent calls for peace in embattled eastern Ukraine “then there is no need for new sanctions—on the contrary, in that case we should think about how we too could begin to de-escalate,” Hollande said, according to the Deutsche Welle news agency.[ii]
North American Union—The North American Union (NAU) is still but a glint in the eyes of the globalist powers that be, for the most part. This is because of their difficulty (primarily) in bringing theUnited States to the point of abdicating its position as the apex nation of the world in most categories that matter. As stated previously, there is an incessant drive by the one-world architects to force America to diminish—thereby distributing the wealth to the Third World and other nations.
America must be knocked off its perceived better-than-you pedestal. This is the attitude of the current American president and his ideological bedfellows, I infer, as do others watching these ten economic power-bloc union developments.
NAU consists—in theory, at least—of the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The plan, which is to yet find solid footing, includes acommon currency called the amero or the North American dollar.
The union is hoped to include all of the North American continent and to extend into parts of Central and South America at some point. Actually, union of this region has been the dream of globalists for centuries, but their efforts have been uneventful until recent times.
The problems for the NAU persist, as shown in this excerpted report:
February 14, 2014—President Obama’s February 19 meeting in Toluca, Mexico, with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto did not produce any big, headline-grabbing breakthroughs, but that does not mean that it didn’t lay new ground for political and economic integration of the three nations. In fact, in their Joint Statement issued at the conclusion of the summit, the three leaders affirmed their commitment to a number of initiatives, many of which are already far developed, including approval of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), the “trade” agreement that is stirring widespread opposition in all three countries.[iii]
South American Union—The Union of South American Nations, known as UNASUR, is modeled after the European Union. It serves as a body for interaction between member-nation leaders. It also provides a platform for interregional trade promotion.
The regional bloc, collectively, represents the world’s fourth-largest economy after the United States, China, and Japan. World Bank figures for 2011 show that the group’s total GDP is worth more than $4.1 trillion.
The importance of this growing union is perhaps best understood through a recent news item.
MOSCOW, December 5, 2014—A representative from the Russian Foreign Ministry is set to attend the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR) summit, which will include discussions on a possible memorandum on improved cooperation between Russia and UNASUR, Telesur reported….[Russian Ambassador to Ecuador Yan] Burlyai explained that Russia’s interests coincide with UNASUR’s in the development of a politically and economically multipolar world, and that Russian engineering, technical knowhow, and equipment may be useful for regional development projects in areas such as railway construction and energy generation facilities. He noted that “for many decades,” South America was “mainly oriented at Western countries in economic cooperation…. Now it is quite useful for them to have the alternative [of using] Russian companies such as Russian Railways, Gazprom and Rosneft.” Russia, on the other hand, stands to benefit from increased economic and trade cooperation with the 12-nation bloc, with its combined population of 400 million people and a $4 trillion economy.[iv]
African Union—The African Union (AU) is made up of fifty-four member states. Morocco is the only African country that isn’t a member. Established on May 26, 2001, in Addis Ababa, the AU was launched on July 9, 2002, in South Africa, replacing the Organization of African Unity (OAU).
The African Union Commission is based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
We can get some level of understanding about the AU and how it fits into the developing world order by this report of recent vintage:
16 December 2014—Cooperation between the African Union and the United Nations on peace and security is crucial and should occur systematically at the earliest signs of crisis said UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon this morning as he urged the Security Council to work more effectively to prevent, manage and resolve conflicts on the African continent.
“The Security Council and the AU [African Union] Peace and Security Council are working together more closely, and there is increased support for African-led peace operations and their transition into UN peacekeeping operations, as we have seen in Mali and the Central African Republic,” Mr. Ban told the 15-member Council.[v]
Union of the Mediterranean—The Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) is a multilateral partnership of forty-three countries from Europe and the Mediterranean Basin:
…the twenty-eight member states of the European Union and fifteen Mediterranean partner countries from North Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Europe. It was created in July 2008 as a relaunched Euro-Mediterranean Partnership (the Barcelona Process), when a plan to create an autonomous Mediterranean Union was dropped. The Union has the aim of promoting stability and prosperity throughout the Mediterranean region.[vi]
The news item that follows gives further indication of this union’s growing influence:
Rabat – December 5, 2014—Member states of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) re-elected, Fathallah Sijilmassi as secretary general of the organization for three years, said a statement by the foreign affairs ministry.
The reelection of Fathallah Sijilmassi for a second mandate confirms the leading role of Morocco on the Euro-Mediterranean and international scenes, under the leadership of King Mohammed VI.
It also confirms the sovereign’s irreversible commitment to the emergence of a Euro-Mediterranean zone where stability and prosperity prevails, said the statement.[vii]
Eurasian Economic Union (EEU)—The EEU is a political and economic union of five member states located primarily in northern Eurasia.
It was established by a treaty signed on May 29, 2014, between the leaders of Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia. A treaty to enlarge the EEU to Armenia was signed on October 9, 2014. Kyrgyzstan signed a roadmap for its accession and a treaty to include the country into the union is to be signed on December 23, 2014. The Union will officially go into effect on 1 January 2015.
The Eurasian Economic Union would create a single economic market of 183 million people and a gross domestic product of over 4 trillion U.S. dollars (PPP). The EEU is often called the Eurasian Union, although its treaties focus mainly on economic integration. The union operates through supranational and intergovernmental institutions.[viii]
The following report involving this union highlights the EEU’s relevance in the developing world order.
December 15, 2014—The Eurasian Economic Union will soon officially come into force, bringing the economies and trade of the joining parties—Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Armenia—to a new level of integration. Nevertheless, the road is bumpier than it might seem.
Less than a month before the Union officially activates, Belarus unilaterally restored the customs posts on the border with Russia. This came after Russia accused Belarus of re-exporting banned goods by supposedly supplying them to Kazakhstan but eventually dispersing them in Russia.
“Most likely, Kazakhstan, in the person of its President Nursultan Nazarbayev, will have to again play the role of a mediator, a peacemaker between Russia and Belarus. Kazakhstan leaders closely link the creation of the Eurasian Economic Union with its foreign policies,” Satpayev said.
Russia has been using this integration project to achieve its “geopolitical purposes,” he said. As for Lukashenko, his motives are “more pragmatic” and he has “very specific economic benefits for Belarus in view.” This is why he tries to use various methods of applying pressure on Russia.[ix]
Gulf Cooperation Council (Arab states of the Gulf)—This is a regional intergovernmental political and economic union is comprised of every Arab state of the Persian Gulf with the exception of Iraq.
The member states consist ofBahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
Bahrain’s prime minister, Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, expressed rejuvenated interest in the establishment of a gulf union during a two day summit December 10, 2013. Talks included concentration on the formation of a “Gulf Union.” He stated that current events in the region highlight the importance of the proposed formation of the cooperative effort.[x]
The following further enlightens on this important development as the United States of Antichrist continues to form.
December 13, 2014—Notwithstanding the many political and security challenges facing the region, the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states made the right decision in not overlooking the matter of closer regional economic integration. Among other things, the latest summit, in Doha, touched upon the customs union and for jointly funded railway projects.
The summit adopted other resolutions with economic implications, notably continuing the work of unified guiding principles for the Gulf’s financial markets.[xi]
South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation— (SAARC,) a geopolitical and economic organization, is comprised of eight countries mostly located in South Asia. It is the third-largest economy (behind the US and China) combined in the world in GDP.
The member states are Afghanistan Bangladesh Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
Its policies are designed to attain and assure self-reliance among member states, and to accelerate socio-cultural betterment, according to its charter documents. The SAARC has developed external relations by establishing permanent diplomatic relations with the EU, the UN (as an observer), and other multilateral entities.[xii]
This recent news further informs on developments within SAARC:
December 1, 2014—Despite three decades of the existence of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), its aims of regional peace, prosperity and stability have not materialized.
In such situation, the 18th SAARC Summit has concluded with renewed commitment and determination of the regional heads to reinvigorate and revitalize this regional body for the betterment of South Asians. They have also committed to achieve a goal of upgrading this regional body into a “South Asian Economic Union” in a phased and planned manner through a free trade area, a customs union, a common market, and a common economic and monetary union by 2030. For this purpose, they expressed their strong determination in deepening and intensifying regional cooperation and integration in trade, investment, finance, energy, security, infrastructure, connectivity and culture as well as implementing projects and programs in a prioritized, result-oriented and time-bound manner.[xiii]
Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC)—Established in 1989 to deal with growing interdependence of Asia-Pacific economies and the advent of regional trade blocs in other parts of the world, APEC is a forum for twenty-one Pacific Rim member economies that seeks to promote free trade and economic cooperation throughout the Asia-Pacific region. It was brought into being out of fear of Japan’s growing influence within the region’s economic sphere. That highly industrialized nation was seen as a threat, concerning market developments. Also, the cooperation developed in order to establish new markets for agricultural products and raw materials beyond Europe, areas where demand was in decline.
A relevant news item further reveals the influential presence of APEC:
November 24, 2014—The 2014 APEC leaders’ summit witnessed a string of successes in Chinese trade diplomacy. Key among these successes was the endorsement of China’s signature trade initiative as APEC host: the realisation sooner rather than later of a Free Trade Area of the Asia Pacific (FTAAP).
China also reached a substantive agreement with South Korea on their bilateral FTA and a breakthrough on negotiations with the Americans to expand the coverage of the Information Technology Agreement—which promises to re-energise a US$1 trillion market in technology goods trade.[xiv]
Caribbean Community (CARICOM)—Established in 1973, CARICOM has as its primary purposes promoting economic integration and cooperation among its members, ensuring that the benefits of integration are equitably shared, and coordinating foreign policy.
It is an organization of 15 Caribbean nations and dependencies.
Its major activities involve coordinating economic policies and development planning; devising and instituting special projects for the less-developed countries within its jurisdiction; operating as a regional single market for many of its members (Caricom Single Market); and handling regional trade disputes.[xv]
Here is a recent account of things going on within this part of the developing United States of Antichrist:
December 9, 2014—Cuban President Raul Castro has called on the Caribbean countries to boost their economic and political ties in the face of an “unfair” globalized world.
Castro made the remarks during a regional summit by 15 member states of Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and Cuba in the capital Havana on Monday.
The meeting aims to enhance trade and cooperation among the participating countries.
“I propose that we share viable ideas and proposals to keep working together to develop bilateral cooperation and exchanges, and to diversify our economic and trade relations to face the challenges of the globalized, unfair, and unequal world in which we live,” President Castro said.
The Cuban leader added the Caribbean countries “must survive in a world rattled by a global economic crisis,” and further urged “political, economic and social integration.”[xvi]
Peace, Prosperity, and the Coming Holocaust
My dear friend, Dave Hunt, who is now with the Lord, once wrote a stunning book called Peace, Prosperity, and the Coming Holocaust. He wrote in that book those many decades ago that things would look rosy on the surface for a time. There would be a time of relative peace—in this nation, at least—and the economy would seem to provide a prosperous time for the United States.
He said through many scripturally based thoughts that it was all a ruse—smoke and mirrors—meant to deceive and lull into deadly complacency. The inevitable “holocaust” would come when the deception had achieved its venomous, desensitizing effect.
I am of the prayerfully studied opinion that the “peace” and “prosperity” eras of Dave’s Holy Spirit-directed warnings are nearing their end. The very fabric of civilization, itself, is observably coming apart. The swift development of the United States of Antichrist—the ten toes of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream-image as fleshed out in Revelation 17:12–13, means the seven years of Tribulation must be on the very cusp of prophetic initiation. The greatest of all holocausts is about to come upon a sinful world of anti-God rebels.
That means that the Rapture of the Church—when Jesus Christ calls all born-again believers in a millisecond to be with Him—is even at the door of this generation.
