Call to Prayer: “When will it End?”
We’re asking for prayer this week regarding two concerns, not that there aren’t many more. One is for the injured victims and families of the deceased in yet another mass shooting. On November 13 and 14, 44-year-old Kevin Neal, who had a history of mental and anger issues, including arrests, perpetrated a series of shootings in Rancho Tehama Reserve in California, using a semi-automatic rifle and two handguns. He was barred from owning guns after a stabbing incident in January; however, he manufactured the guns at his home.
He killed five people and wounded 12 others at several crime scenes, including at an elementary school. In addition to the victims who were shot during the rampage, several others were injured by shattered glass.
Neal killed his wife on November 13 and hid her body under the floorboards in their home. The next day, November 14, he killed two neighbors with whom he’d been feuding, claiming they were making meth and that the fumes were injuring his nine dogs. (Neal himself was a pot grower, which is a big business in California Land. His sister has since stated that she believed he was addicted to drugs. If indeed his dogs were affected, perhaps they were nibbling on those plants).
After the initial murders, Neal went on a random shooting spree, firing at vehicles and pedestrians. He ran inside an elementary school, firing at windows and walls, and tried to get inside classrooms, which were locked down by a diligent custodian as soon as shots were heard. This same custodian also rounded up children to get inside and hide in the classrooms when the shooter rammed a stolen truck through the front gates.
Two children were shot and wounded at the school, and a woman was shot as she tried to distract Neal away from the school. After leaving there, Neal continued his rampage before being killed by sheriff deputies.
Six of those shot and wounded were children – two very young students at the school, and three other children from the same family who were wounded when Neal shot at their vehicle. Their mother was also shot.
Six-year-old Aileen Favela said she wasn’t aware of what was happening when a classmate yelled for her to “get down.” She said she was worried about her brother during the shooting. Both are now afraid to go to school. Surely many other children feel the same way.
Victims’ families have turned to online fundraisers to help with medical expenses.
The other request for prayer concerns our nation. The minions of madness, who have proven they’ll stop at nothing to wrest back power, are upping the ante in trying to remove our president from office. Several House Democrats on Wednesday filed articles of impeachment, needless to say for bogus reasons, one of them being the fact that $73,000 in federal tax dollars was spent for Secret Service golf carts at the president’s Mar-a-Lago Florida resort. Seriously? President Trump doesn’t take a salary for one thing; and for another, how many times did Obama play golf while president, which required Secret Service, not to mention the tons of vacations?
Here was another outlandish claim: “It’s time for Congress to take action to stop this reckless and harmful behavior by removing Mr. Trump from office and to defend and uphold the Constitution of the United States.” How ironic is that? Since when does the Marxist Democrat Party of today care about our Constitution? A million-dollar ad campaign is being launched to try and stoke public sentiment for their seditious, global agenda. And California Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters (whose actions prove she isn’t qualified to be in politics, to say the least) continues her rhetoric. At a Glamour magazine event on Monday in New York, she asked attendees to chant along with her, “Impeach him. Impeach Trump.”
The hypocrisy is astounding, but nevertheless is something we should expect in these upside-down last days. Speaking of which, invoking the power of demonic false gods was part of the equation at the “Catharsis on the Mall” in D.C. last weekend, where a statue of Shiva the Destroyer looked upon the Washington Monument; and a giant metal statue of Abraxas the Dragon was rolled through the streets around the Capitol in a protest march. This “demon lord of magic wands” is also present in the game “Dungeons and Dragons.”
“Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:11-16).
The end-of-days birth pangs are upon us and will continue to increase in intensity and frequency. We’re seeing the signs that the Tribulation is near, and only those in Christ will be removed from the earth to escape the wrath to come.
“And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another …And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold… As the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” (Matthew 24:10, 12, 37).
