Salvation
I am a little perplexed, or maybe naive, if you will. We already know the Holy Word of God is older than 4,500 years, so why is it that so few read it? Also, The Holy Word of God is the only book of its type; it is a living text. It literally moves within you. Again, why have so few read it? So now we come to an even bigger problem.
There are so many “going to church,” sitting in the pews, singing the hymns, going to Sunday School, and still they do not know the Word of God. And worst of all, there are Pastors, Preachers and Ministers that teach other gospels than that which is in the Holy Word of God.
We have the “Feel Good Gospel,” which tells people that they are “good,” when only God is good. We have the “Prosperity Gospel,” which teaches people that they can become “prosperous” simply by asking the Lord God for money. We have others as well, like the Pastors that teach “speaking in tongues,” yet no one is able to understand what they are saying. We have denominations that say you will never see Heaven if you are not baptized, especially in their church.
John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.“
Right there in black and white, my friends! How is it that so many are missing this fundamental fact, as said by the Lord God? Do so few want to go to Heaven?
There are many other “religions” that say…they are peaceful. Yet their “holy book” tells them that they may “lie” to someone that does not believe as they do…even kill those that do not believe. Others teach that YOU are the center of the Universe, that YOU are God. And another tells their congregations that they will be “transported to Heaven” in a spacecraft by extra-terrestrials. I have never seen so much “bull-crap” in my life!
Why would anyone feel the need to listen to and believe such LIES? Are they so hard up to listen to some Preacher, actually anyone, that they would take such stuff to heart and believe it? Do they not understand that Jesus Christ IS GOD and always has been, and that only HE is able to take you to Heaven?
Only HIS Blood will cover your sin. HE is the single and only Savior that there is.
People enjoy being pampered, to live the best there ever could be. Many will actually tell you they deserve it along with all of that sumptuous food and drink because they are “Good People.” They miss the fact that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to Heaven and for Eternity, where your best life truly is! We all like the better things in life: Big house, fancy cars and clothes, so why would the “answer to Heaven” be the last thing people wish to think about? I am truly perplexed by this phenomenon. It literally boggles my mind!
Is it not enough, for any individual to go to a cemetery, and then to notice no one there has ever come back? Death, my friends is FINAL for us humans. In other words, you have been given this life as the only chance to come to Jesus Christ and give HIM your life. Otherwise you will spend Eternity in Hell and the Lake of Fire. That is not an option. That is absolute Truth, from the Holy Word of God!
My friends, it is “one way…or the other!” Accept Jesus Christ, go to Heaven…fail to accept Jesus Christ, go to Hell and then the Lake of Fire. You would think that reading this in the Word of God would be enough for everyone.
Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.“
Does that little word “FEW” put fear in your heart and spirit? Do you truly belong to Jesus Christ? Does the Blood of Jesus Christ cover all your sin? Are you truly a child of the Lord God?
My friends…How do you know for sure…that YOU are saved? This is really and truly important to know; your eternal life hangs in the balance.
There is NO Purgatory, no waiting period between Heaven and this life on earth. You cannot buy your way into Heaven. There is NOTHING…that YOU can do to get into Heaven, short of accepting Jesus Christ. We all stand on one side or the other of that Thick Black Line…With Jesus Christ…or without Him. Point is…YOU…must choose and choose only for you. It is a relationship between you and Jesus Christ…or the lack thereof.
Hebrews 9:27-28 “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.“
Again it is in black and white. And again, you live here on earth only once. We have more people buried in the ground than we have people alive. Only ONE came back from the dead, and that was Jesus Christ…HE IS GOD. Everyone else, regardless of position in life, wealth or anything else…is still in the ground…they have already lived their life, they now stand in judgment by Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:10-11 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.“
It’s always in black and white…for all to read and know. Our SIN stands between us and the Lord God and Heaven. Only HIS Blood from HIS Cross on Calvary…can cover our SIN and be washed away. BUT…you must ask for it!
I have been a watcher of people just about all my life. My Dad told me to carefully watch people, watch their mistakes and their good; then make sure I do not repeat their mistakes. Yet today, I feel the heartache of watching so many people throw away their lives.
Reading in history where people did this and that, and now they remark about how wonderful those people were. My question is now and always will be…were they saved to Jesus Christ? Because, if they were not, their lives, of however many years, were worthless. If they were able to come back and give a report, what would they tell all of us to do? In other words, what is truly critical for us to know?
It’s sort of unusual when we are able to witness the last words or the last thoughts of anyone. It’s never about our finances or possessions. It’s always about those closest to them, the ones they loved or to right a wrong. The tombstones always remain the same and the dirt doesn’t give up its contents, regardless of who they once were.
After years of living here on earth, people naturally want peace and safety, harmony and balance. Many don’t realize that this will only come with Jesus Christ. HE is King of Kings and Lord of Lords, the Great I AM, the first and the last, the Alpha and the Omega…the One that has always been and will always be!
HE is the last person that I would want to offend, and yet I have done so with my sin. It is HIS Love that we must rely on…HIS Blessings that we need to simply get from one moment to the next, the next heartbeat…the next breath of air!
John 15:5-6 “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.“
This life does not have to be the end. It should be the “Very First Stepping Stone…into our life in Eternity.” We should not have to worry about Hell and the Lake of Fire…to be honest…only the Lord is concerned about that; HE IS the Judge of everyone. Still, we must be concerned with WHOM we choose to follow. If it is anyone other than Jesus Christ…YOU are doomed to Hell and the Lake of Fire.
I like to think of this life as you and I living in a three-dimensional picture. At the point of our death, one of two things is going to happen. We will walk into the Great White Throne Room and instantly know why we are headed for destruction in Hell and the Lake of Fire; OR we will walk straight into the loving and waiting arms of Jesus Christ…our Lord and Savior. I am going to say it again and again….it is always YOUR CHOICE.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
