Situations in Need of Prayer
Flu epidemic: Please pray for Pastor Wahid J.D. Farag. Reliable reports on social media say he is quite ill with pneumonia. Pastor J.D. gives us an online prophecy update every Sunday.
Health officials report that influenza and pneumonia, which often go together, caused one out of every ten deaths in the U.S. last week and the figure is expected to rise. They say as many as 4,000 people may be dying each week in this epidemic. It is affecting all ages.
Natural disasters: A 6.4 earthquake in Taiwan toppled buildings. At of this writing, there are 15 known deaths and 280 injured with little hope of finding more survivors.
Wars and rumors of wars: The fulfillment of the last days prophecies in Isaiah 17 and Ezekiel 38-39 have ramped up and are in “dress rehearsal” for these coming events. Israel is basically fighting a war on five fronts, and is conducting the largest war-preparedness exercises to date.
Amir Tsarfati of Behold Israel gave us an update on Saturday regarding the tense situation with Israel and Syria. The Syrian regime and Russian warplanes were in the sixth day of obliterating neighborhoods in Damascus, with over 700 people dead. In northern Israel, Turkish forces are causing much destruction of property and lives in Idlib. The entrenchment of Iran and Turkey in Syria is much bigger than we can imagine. Israel has been warning of this and saying it cannot allow Iran to continue to entrench itself, knowing it intends to provoke war with Israel.
That is exactly what Iran did when it sent a sophisticated drone towards Israel from Syria, knowing Israel would retaliate, and then they would destroy Israel’s planes. Israel’s F-16s came under massive fire from Syria, but only one plane was hit. The pilots managed to eject over Israeli territory. Later Israel launched an airstrike in the deepest part of Syria to date, taking out many targets important to the Syrian and Iranian regimes. Both Israel and Syria are warning of the consequences of further attacks.
Lawlessness/Terrorism: The FBI estimates that brutal MS-13 gangs, who entered the US as unaccompanied minors (some who claimed to be minors were much older), now have over 10,000 members in the US and have migrated from big cities into its suburbs.
Britain’s government admitted that “a significant portion” of the over 400 ISIS fighters who returned to Britain are at large, unpunished, having been deemed “no longer of national security concern.”
Drugs: For the second year in a row, deaths by drugs, drink and self-destruction have caused life expectancy in the US to fall. In San Francisco, California the nation’s first heroin injection sites will open.
Sexual abuse of children: Called “Little Barbies,” girls as young as 9 (average age 13) are bought & sold for sex in America in the fastest-growing illegal business. One young girl can be sold 10 to 15 times a day. Every two minutes, a child is exploited in the sex industry. Adults purchase children for sex at least 2.5 million times a year in the US. It’s big business in other parts of the world as well.
Chinese drug companies are collaborating with abortion clinics to produce “enhancement pills.” Chinese folklore promotes the belief that a human fetus can cure disease and help with circulation and sexual performance. Smugglers have been caught bringing these powdered capsules into South Korea. It is not known if any are in the US.
Immorality and the Progressive Agenda: A large percentage of younger Americans don’t see the importance of liberty and the impact it can have on the freedom of society. “The chickens have come home to roost” in universities, as they’re now causing “liberal” professors to resign who aren’t liberal enough for them.
The anti-police Black Lives Matter movement is inserting its agenda into public schools across the country, using the Common Core (aka Communist Core) curriculum for elementary and middle school students, teaching its version of diversity, globalism and “queer affirming” lessons.
All 8,100 Walgreens stores will allow men unrestricted access to women’s restrooms as a result of being pressured by American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) in California. A similar policy at Target Stores enacted two years ago has resulted in dozens of women and children victimized by male predators.
Activists in the UK want to turn ‘LGBT’ into ‘LGBTQQICAPF2K,’ adding “K” for “Kink.” Letters stand for: lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, curious, asexual, agender, ally, pansexual, polysexual, friends & family, two-spirit, and kink.
A teachers’ union in Canada launched a “social justice” curriculum for children up to age 8 with lesson plans on combating the common belief of two genders with natural roles. It encourages teachers to read books such as “The Boy in the Dress,” about a 12-year-old boy who enjoys cross-dressing, and “Are You a Boy or a Girl?” A graphic on the site has a pencil erasing “heteronormativity,” because the idea of two biological genders and their roles goes against the SJW agenda.
A Christian teacher in Bristol in the UK was fired and reported as a “radicalization threat.” Why? A pupil who was being persistently disruptive brought up Mrs. Powell’s religion and proceeded to quiz her on her personal beliefs in an “argumentative” way. When questioned on her views of homosexuality, the teacher said that as a Christian, she “personally” believed homosexual activity was against the Lord’s will, but that God loves every person regardless of their sexual preference.
Four professing “Christian” clergy and a rabbi traveled to a late-term abortion facility in Maryland to “bless” it. A Hindu priest who also does such things wanted to come but didn’t make it this time. As they sprinkled the facility, they uttered phrases such as “keep them safe and strong and may they always know that all that they do is for Thy glory.” And “We give honor to all of these women who choose to come to this space. We sanctify this space and we honor this as holy.”
Pastor Rose Beeson, who is “in transition from woman to man” (not possible), will take on the name “Peter” in a public ceremony at St. Matthew Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoboken, New Jersey.
The Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Washington, DC voted to stop using masculine pronouns for God.
More apostasy: “New Age” beliefs and practices are being promoted by “so-called” Christian publishers, leaders, pastors, and professors saying that it’s not an issue anymore. Read the article on the Lighthouse Trails Research site titled “Moody Publishers Says New Age Not an Issue Anymore.” It contains a long list of names promoting New Age practices.
Romans 1:18-32 describes why the world is in such a state. There can be no doubt that we’re in the last days. As we pray over these situations, we must not lose hope. Jesus is coming for us soon.
“The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light” (Romans 13:12).
