On March 19, 2018, Terry James wrote an in-depth commentary article in the Rapture Ready.com topic section of ‘Nearing Midnight’ about how Biblical prophecy and the sign-of-the-times seems to indicate a nearness of the ‘rapture of the church’ from the earth by Jesus Christ, prior to the seven-year tribulation period prophesied in the Bible. I agree with Terry James, that the end-times seem near when you seriously and realistically take into account the sinful state of our world today. Biblical prophecy spells out for us what is yet to come prior to the rapture.
No prophecy in the Bible has ever been wrong, and the biblical prophecies yet to be fulfilled will also come to pass with 100% accuracy. We can be sure of that fact, because the Bible is the true and infallible ‘Word of God.’
Details of the coming rapture are in the Bible for all of us to read. We just don’t know exactly when it will take place, because the Bible says it will come at a time only God knows; but in the meantime, all of us mortal humans on earth, interested in eternal life in heaven, need to be spiritually ready prior to it in order to avoid the coming tribulation on earth, which will be a ‘horrific’ time unlike ever experienced on earth.
The Bible describes for us ample, detailed signs about the state of the world just prior to when the rapture and tribulation take place. These signs indicate the nearness of the rapture, just as Terry wrote about in his article.
One of the many, many warning signs found in the Bible about the days preceding the rapture says, “For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.” (2 Timothy 4:3-4).
Does this condition sound ever too familiar in our world today? Do not be deceived into turning away from God’s truth in the Bible!
After all, wouldn’t you prefer to personally experience an ‘awesome’ event (the rapture) rather than the alternative, a ‘horrific’ event (the tribulation) in the future?
For Christians, the rapture is something to eagerly watch for, because it will be an extremely happy day to experience! Non-Christians would be advised to open a Bible and study the scriptures regarding the coming rapture and tribulation.
If you are a Christian, there is no reason to fear the coming tribulation. If you are not a Christian, there is a very simple way for you to avoid the tribulation period and spend eternity in heaven. The way is found in the biblical scripture of John 3:16. “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son (Jesus Christ), that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” That’s it! So before it’s too late, put your trust in Jesus and become a Christian.
