The Rapture, the return of Jesus…coming back for His Church, which is what we have been saying here. Let me explain.
We are definitely in the end times, and world events are ramping up, to say the least. This website – as well as others with prophecy believers – has been proclaiming the message to as many souls as we can. With this is the primary prophecy and teaching that Christ is coming back for his Bride. The key point is that the church is not shouting the message out from the rooftops (like they should), much less in the church that Jesus is about to return.
Those of us (in the extreme minority) are literally shouting, proclaiming, witnessing, and writing that this is here now. Wake up church! The signs and events given in the Scriptures are converging right now even at the end of 2018. But the church is still asleep. Why? Apathy, lackadaisical attitude, not knowing the Word? I don’t know.
There’s a popular contemporary Christian song that came out in 2015 called “Even So, Come” by Chris Tomlin that says Jesus is coming soon. Our choir sang that last Sunday; wonderful song. One person, me, voiced out loud at the end, “Amen!” The silence was deafening. I was hoping to hear a lot of amens, praises, and hallelujahs, etc., and this is in a Southern Baptist Church. What happened? I was teaching during the second service, so I don’t know what the response was during that one, but I can imagine.
This is the norm or typical status quo of the “end-time church age” perhaps drawing to a close soon. My wife and I attend this amazing Holy Spirit-filled church where God is very active. I can’t say enough how blessed our church is and what it’s doing for His Kingdom, with a lot others of course. But like most churches, there is no message on end times or the return of Jesus, currently. The Gospel is definitely being preached, and with the altar call of salvation expressively given where we attend, there are no takers. Hmm?
The Lord is coming back like a thief in the night.
Revelation 3:3 “Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.”
There will be no warning; suddenly, caught unaware, and it’s too late.
So, with all this silence, what’s going to happen? The next big prophecy (according to some of us in how we interpret Scripture) to be fulfilled that we are looking for is the return of the Lord.
Five glorious things will happen when Jesus comes (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17):
- For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
- with the voice of the archangel,
- and with the Trump of God:
- and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
- Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
There will be no time to cry out. In the twinkling of an eye, those of us who know Jesus as our Lord will be gone from this earth. Don’t miss out on this!
In my last article, I said that I was done with writing about the rapture for now, and I am. My theme here is the church Saints aren’t proclaiming His soon return everywhere, every day. Do they not know the Word, prophecies, and/or don’t care? Jesus is knocking at the door; look around you; hello! Do you not know all the strange worldly events and weird anomalies that are happening? I’ve been around for a long time, and I’ve never witnessed anything like what is happening now. Things are really getting worse. This website is our “rooftop” that we are standing on. We are shouting!
But God is patient: not willing that any should perish.
2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
Wouldn’t that be exciting that our Lord is about to come get us? It appears that the time has come; the Scriptures are in fact coming to life and are now being fulfilled. Check out some other articles here at R/R that go more into detail.
Are you ready? Do you know Christ? This would be the greatest Christmas present you could give to yourself and share with others also. Ask Christ to come into your life now and be saved. It’s what Christ did for you on that Cross. There was and is only One person who was mandated for that, and it was Jesus Christ.
Acts 4:12 “Neither is their salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
The greatest gift God gave us was his Son. All you have to do is accept it.
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Note the word but! The difference between eternal separation from God and eternal presence in Heaven with HIM and all the believers is that “but.” You have to make that choice.
Person: Jesus Christ, His only Begotten Son.
Gift: God is handing out His gift to you. All you have to do is receive it.
In Jesus Name,
Clay Smith
