While listening to some inspirational Gospel music on YouTube, one song by Carroll Roberson stood out as really significant for today. To give some background about Brother Carroll, he is a “Western-style Gospel Singer” who has numerous recordings honoring our Savior. His music is very easy to listen to, and totally understandable. One of his recordings, “One Pair of Hands,” has been credited as being released by Elvis Presley; however, Elvis never recorded this song. It should be noted, Brother Carroll is also a minister for the Lord, and he lives his life as an example of his faith.
His version of a song called “Any Day Now” brings to mind the times we are currently in, and tells us we need to get more prepared for the next prophetic event on the end-times agenda – the Rapture. More on this shortly; and all emphasis is mine.
Someone might look at the events taking place around the world, and except for the 7-year Treaty being signed as given in Daniel, we may believe we are actually in the first stages of the Wrath.
Hate of just about anything good, especially Christians, abounds. Our president and vice president are being attacked by people on both sides of the aisle. The liberals refuse to accept that their “sure-to-win” candidate lost, and are actively trying to “impeach” our president. Thing is, there are no constitutional grounds for his removal, but that isn’t stopping them from trying to pull it off. Biggest issue is, Trump is not a typical politician, and the left can’t stand for the country to be run like a business. They can’t stand that his methods have been working, and America is better since he took office. It’s not status quo in D.C. right now.
Our vice president and his wife are criticized just for being Christian, and obviously living as such. Personally, I’m grateful we aren’t under the influence at this time like it was in the last administration. It’s actually an exciting time to be a believer.
Weather patterns have become more severe than usual. Earthquake activity has increased significantly over the past few decades, and volcanoes have become more active. Tornadoes this time of year are always possible, but there has been unusually severe activity already. According to Wikipedia, April through June are the peak months for tornadoes.
To the secular world, the things of this earth are absolutely most important. Satanic activity is increasing, and not even being hidden any more. There was actually an article recently that spoke of a “Christian – Wiccan” Church, which I can guarantee is not God-inspired. Neither is “merging” services where Allah and God are seen as the same deity.
Unless a person is worshiping the Lord God Jehovah – creator of the heavens and the earth; Father, Son and Holy Spirit, three in one – then their “god” is false. In order to follow Jesus’ Commandments, we are to worship the one true God with all our hearts, all our minds and all our souls. His second commandment was like it, as we are to love all our brothers and sisters as well. That includes the whole world population. True believers will follow this, and no other “religion” can make this claim. This does not mean we have to “like” everyone, but we must love them for their souls.
All the events in Europe and the Middle East are leading to the formation of a “One-world Government” which will be followed by a “One-world Religion.” Daniel 7:23 tells about the world being under one ruler – the antichrist. The 13th Chapter of Revelation gives even more detail and introduces the second beast (false prophet). This second beast causes everyone to receive a mark and to worship the first beast. Those who refuse will be subject to martyrdom.
For those of us who are waiting for the Rapture, the troubles the world is experiencing is not a cause for dismay. Actually, it’s a sign that we need to be looking up, for our redemption is drawing near (Luke 21:28). Songs like “Any Day Now” take on special meaning.
(Verse 1) Jesus, My Lord; with You I will be. Your face I will see; Any day now – any day.
Jesus My Lord; Your word is true. I know You’re coming soon; Any day now – any day.
(Chorus) It might be tomorrow; it could be today. No tears or sorrow; Any day now – any day.
(Verse 2) I’ll be home with You; see faces that I know. With friends I love so; Any day now – any day.
Jesus my Lord; my life please repair. Repair for that meeting, in the air; Any day now – any day.
(chorus plus) Any Day I’ll be going Home. Any Day I’ll be going Home.
Anyone who has a “relationship” with our Blessed Savior can feel the positive nature of songs like this. To have this comfort, we must believe that Jesus came to this earth the first time for the main purpose of providing the perfect sacrifice for our sins. He did so willingly and for all who will accept Him (John 10:18).
Our Heavenly Father loves us so much that He allowed Jesus, one third of the Trinity, to shed His precious blood in our stead (John 3:16-18). We are the ones who should be punished because we all are guilty of sin (Romans 3:23), yet we are all saved by confessing that we are hopeless sinners in need of a divine Savior. By calling out to Jesus to be that Savior, we make our reservation to have a home with Him forever (Acts 2:21 and Romans 10:13). Until we are actually with Him in our Forever bodies and New Mind-set, we will still be subject to sin, but have a pathway for forgiveness as given in 1 John 1:8-10.
By the way, His sacrifice was pure and complete. Any attempts to “buy” or “earn” our way to Him is an insult to the wonderful gift He gave. Also, no one “deserves” to have this gift.
Jesus came the first time in the form of a helpless infant that grew into manhood. He led a sinless life, or His sacrifice would have been useless. His next return is to take all believers off the earth to avoid the 7-year Wrath as promised by the Father. The dead in Christ will rise first, followed by those who are still alive (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:51-53). That could happen “Any Day Now”! He will not physically come to stand on the earth, but will call us up to meet Him in the air/clouds.
After the 7-year Tribulation, He will then set foot on the earth and put down the Wrath with just a word. He will then rule from Jerusalem for 1,000 years. After this, final judgments will be made. Then there will be a new heaven and earth provided for all the faithful from the beginning of earth’s creation to that time. We will be with our Savior – Forever.
It stands to reason that all who do not accept Jesus will have to answer to the Father for every sin they ever commit. No one will have been able to do enough “good works” to cover even one sin, much less a lifetime of sinning. These will all join Satan in the Lake of Fire after being condemned at the Great White Throne (Revelation 20:11-15).
To make sure you will be one of those who will be with Jesus, you must accept John 14:6: “Jesus said, I am the Way, the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through me.” Then you will be one of the “few” that will be on the straight and narrow as given in Matthew 7:13-14.
One of Satan’s biggest lies is, “You have plenty of time.” He does not want you to be ready “Any Day Now.” To wait could put you into the most terrible time this earth will ever experience. Call on Jesus today. It will be a decision you’ll be thankful for – Forever!
