Prophecy in Church :: By Dennis Huebshman

One of the main issues that is missing in most mainline churches today is prophesy messages about end times. Besides giving us the Gospel (Good News) about the pathway to salvation, there are many verses in both testaments that give insight as to what is coming. We know these to be true as a large volume of prophecy has already been fulfilled, and what lies ahead is pointed out for us. If the Father had not wanted us to be aware of what will take place, He wouldn’t have made it available for us to study. The fact that Jesus, Paul, John and others in the New Testament made reference to this is an indicator that it should be important to us.

Daniel, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Zechariah and others gave us prophecy about the coming Messiah, and also what would be happening at the end of the age. The books of Daniel and Revelation give us information about the coming antichrist, and what the tribulation will bring.

So-called Palestinians want everyone to believe otherwise, but the declaration of Israel being an independent nation on May 14, 1948, was a major step in the end-time direction. Amos 9:15 says the Israelites will once again be back in their land, never to be removed again. Isaiah 11:10-12 tells of them being regathered from the four corners of the earth. That action continues today.

One of the signs today is the turning away from the truth, and it is spreading through the evangelical world. In 1 John 2, we’re warned that there will be false prophets and antichrists that will actually increase in activity from what it was in the first century. They are preparing the way for the final antichrist.

Are there churches today who are accepting alternate lifestyles that God called an abomination? Absolutely. God does not change His mind about something He hates. Those who are giving such messages will definitely be “judged more strictly” as given in James 3:1. Verses in the word of the Lord are being taken out of context, and distorted to fit what the false prophets want you to hear.

There are those who will say that we all worship the same god, and also that there are many ways to heaven without Jesus. How about, the church has replaced God’s chosen people? All the above are as false as the day is long. John 14:6, “Jesus said, ‘I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.’”

God has not turned away from Israel, and Genesis 12:3 still stands: “I will bless those who bless you, but the one who dishonors you, I will curse; and in you, all the families of the earth will be blessed.” Romans 11:25, “Lest you be wise in your own sight, I want you to understand this mystery, brothers; a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.”

The Father knew that, even after He started bringing Israel back to their land, they would mostly be unbelievers. He has protected them from the moment of the announcement on May 14, 1948, all the way to today. By all rights, having been attacked by so many, they should have been annihilated at the very start. As it is, they have defeated all who have tried, and have become a force to be reckoned with. There is another major war on the horizon where they should be defeated; however, God Himself will take care of them in that one (Ezekiel 38/39). The coalition for this conflict is in place for the first time in history. God’s hand in every aspect of this is obvious for those who have an open mind.

Once the “church age” ends at the Rapture, all true believing Christians from all over the world will be gone. God will then turn His attention onto His people; and by the end of the tribulation, they will accept Jesus as their Messiah. The 1%-2% of Messianic Jews that are present today will be in the group that gets taken up to meet Jesus in the air. They will be spared from the discipline and misery of the wrath.

All this information is available in the Bible. Sad part is, rather than studying for themselves, people would rather attend “entertaining” services with catchy music and ear-tickling messages. They “give” their hour or two to the Lord each week, and believe they are heaven-bound. Pastors that are false prophets know what messages to present and what to leave out. Their goal is to keep seats and collection plates full. When people feel good, they keep coming back.

Meanwhile, people are starving for the truth. One well-known pastor that has an online prophecy segment every week said they receive calls and emails regularly from all over the country. People are asking if they can recommend a church in their area that teaches prophecy. By his own words, those churches are rare. Meanwhile, the mega-churches keep growing because of fancy productions.

Jesus talked about the two paths, and the one to Him is the “straight and narrow” (Matthew 7:13-14). He had no illusions about the number that would truly accept Him vs the ones that are earth-oriented. People are so taken with Satan’s lies that they refuse to look at the eternal picture in comparison with the short lifespan here. This world is but a blink of an eye compared to forever, yet the majority is blind to this.

We should all understand we are “in the season,” even if we don’t know the exact day or hour of the Savior’s return. There are talks right now of a peace agreement between Israel and all the nations around it. I am in no way saying this is the agreement that introduces the antichrist and sets off the tribulation, but it is a step closer.

For the antichrist to appear, we must be gone (Raptured). 2 Thessalonians 2:3, “Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed; the son of destruction.” 2 Thessalonians 2:7, “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work Only He (Holy Spirit) who now restrains it will do so until He is out of the way.”

For anyone to absolutely be certain of avoiding the tribulation, we must accept Jesus as our Savior before that time. At that moment of the Rapture, whether dead or alive, we will be taken off this earth to be with Him from then on. Brand-new bodies meant to last forever will be ours. All that is needed is to ask Jesus to be our Savior and truly accept His gift of Grace and Mercy. He will forgive our sins, and have the Holy Spirit live within us. We are then “marked” as His for all eternity.

To wait could be a very fatal mistake. It will be extremely difficult to be saved during the 7-year Wrath. It will be possible, but almost an assurance of martyrdom.

Escape all the drama. Call on Jesus today (Acts 4:12; Acts 2:21; Romans 10:9-13) and receive the “eternal life” assurance.

Maranatha!
