Thanks for your Prayer Requests

Briefly, I’m still disappointed that no churches have sent in church bulletin names who are in need of prayer. But so be it.

But on the bright side, I did get many, many names from individuals seeking worldwide prayer for family, friends and loved ones. It did my heart good to see such an outpouring from you good folks who believe Jesus Christ will answer prayers (John 14:14).

The fact that you have sent in prayer requests in massive amounts, that might be an encouragement to those holding back to loosen up and also follow up with their own prayer requests. I wrote an article sometime back on “piling on Satan,” which is what you are doing now when you send in prayer requests. Satan is terrified of prayers to Jesus. Period.

So the next step is for all of you readers to read-on with the following list of new names and do so with an open pure heart of understanding and sincere prayer that Our Good Lord answers these prayers completely within His time and will.

Prayer Requests

To all prayer warriors!

Please, please pray for my dear husband of 49 years. Three weeks ago today, on May 11, he suffered a sudden and severe stroke. The blood clot was so large and invasive that the doctors had to manually “retrieve” it after the clot-busting drug failed to work. This man, Don Justine, is truly a man of God. He and I have been in various ministries together since the first year of our marriage…ministering to the homeless, to rebellious and wayward teens, to the elderly…and to anyone else God would send our way.

Our three children and their families are serving the Lord in places around the globe, including Thailand, Calgary and Arizona. So we have no family here to help…until they are able to get away from their own responsibilities and stay for a short time with us, beginning June 13.

Don has an “unknown” prognosis…his left side is paralyzed, but the sensation has begun returning to his left arm. His memory seems to be intact! And he is still able to speak, although haltingly and with great effort. He was transferred from a University hospital this past Thursday and placed short-term (up to three weeks) in a “skilled nursing facility,” aka “nursing home,” where he is receiving a moderate amount of therapies. If he makes significant progress by June 16, he will be transferred to an in-patient medical facility where he will receive three hours daily of intense physical, occupational and speech therapy.

Prayer saved his life. Prayer is sustaining him, as he struggles to make sense of what has happened to him. Prayer is the only thing keeping me, his wife and only family here at the moment…from crumbling from stress and exhaustion. We are BELIEVING and TRUSTING God for a miracle! Prayer is what will strengthen him enough in a couple weeks to qualify for the next facility.

He was a strong, healthy, active man working two jobs, and active in our local church. I firmly believe that God’s purpose for this situation is for the salvation of many people who do not yet know Jesus as their Savior! Since Day 2 of his stroke, I have been writing a twice-daily “Update” on Facebook; and this, the story of our walk of faith and leaning on Jesus…has already been read by hundreds, if not thousands of people, around the world. Lives have already been touched and impacted by what has happened. I pray that as he recovers, the saved would be encouraged in their faith and spurred on…and that the unsaved would see the hand of our miracle-working God, and give their lives to Him. This will not be without eternal purpose.

PLEASE HELP!!

I need help for all prayer warriors to pray for my son Masen who has allowed Satan into his life through drugs. I thought my prayers were being answered, but last week I then found his backpack and found once again drugs. I was so upset that I just said out loud, I give up; I am not going to pray for you any longer.

Needless to say, I was in tears the rest of the evening. That morning when I woke up to get ready for work, I looked toward his bedroom and I saw two dark figures like smoke go into his room. I was frightened because I knew right away it was evil, but I ran to his room. The room was very cold, and the figures were circling him. I thought my son was dead as I was screaming his name with no response.

I then became angry at Satan and began screaming that he was not going to take my son. I began crying and praying for Jesus to please help me and save my son as I prayed. I promised myself to never ever stop praying for my children and loved ones and anyone that needed prayer, no matter what.

Please help me pray for all the Masen’s out there with drug issues. There are so many young adults with drug problems; they all need Jesus!! WE all need Jesus!

I couldn’t resist asking for prayer. I have been without joy and peace for a lonnnnng time. I have sunk in and out of depression, and even suicidal thoughts have surfaced at a significant rate. I am a divorced father of three and have been a jerk in the past, resulting in few friends and family support. Even my kids don’t want much to do with me, but I struggle on.

As a public-school teacher, I try to give the kids my best, but some days are very difficult to put on a happy professional face.

To be honest, I have oftentimes considered ending my life, but I don’t want anyone to deal with the aftermath.

Soooo, long story short, your prayers for hope and joy, and more trust in the Lord would be appreciated.

By the way, I am a born-again believer in Christ, but I have been in a depressed state since my teenage years. Bad family, bad marriage, wrong career, bad choices all the way around.

(Dick’s reply) Your depression and suicidal urges are from Satan and never from the Holy Spirit of God. So, your decision is who do you follow? God or Satan? God wants you in heaven; Satan wants you in hell. So, the choice is yours and yours alone.

You admit to being a jerk, which is a good thing. Many people go through life being a jerk but never admit to it. The fact that you emailed me in public admitting to your sins of the past is your repentance to God. So, I am sure all is forgiven and you are okay with God. But if you allow Satan to allow the depression and suicidal thoughts to continue, you are following Satan instead of God. That is not the way to eternal happiness and joy in heaven. There is absolutely no happiness and no joy in hell.

You say your reason for not committing suicide is you don’t wish for family, friends, students, etc., dealing with the aftermath. I think you need to deal with your dealing with your aftermath in hell? God doesn’t want to lose you, but He lets you make your own eternal decisions.

You list many of your lifetime’s bad choices and decisions. Those things are behind you and surely forgiven. Spend the rest of your earthly life making good decisions. People will then notice these changes in you so they, in turn, will change their attitudes towards you. Changes brings changes.

And I urge worldwide prayer warriors to pray that the Holy Spirit of God will lead Randy towards an eternity with God, all of His angels and saints, forever and ever!

I enjoy reading all your articles. My prayer today is for myself. My spouse and I struggle through gambling addiction. I have talked to 2 other people in my church whom I trust, and I know my burden will be lifted and chains broken. I will never give up the fight. My spouse doesn’t attend anymore and says we’re fine. God has told me I am starting to cross that red line, and I need to take heed lest I fall.

Please pray for the Light of the World Ministry in India. Pastor Paramjyothi, his family and church members are engaged in evangelical outreach in areas all around them. Many are coming to salvation, including children. Pray for their health, safety, provision and continued victories. Pray that the Hindus and Muslims persecuting them will feel remorse and conviction for harming innocents and disrupting meetings. Lead them to our Lord. Pray that our Lord’s mighty angels protect Light of the World evangelists and converts, and that our Lord would rebuke the devil and his minions.

Please pray that government officials and police feel remorse and embarrassment for turning a blind eye to these attacks, and take some type of action to protect Light of the World and its people. We all need to pray for all of the present-day evil people still living in this century, and hope they will be converted over to the Christian way of life before it is too late. God doesn’t wish for any to perish. Pray for all the Hollywood types, the Washington, D.C. “swamp,” the falling-away churches, the mainstream media, etc. People like the Clinton’s, the Obama’s, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Chuck Schumer, Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, etc., can all come to Christ just like King David, the Apostle Paul from our Bible, and our 21^st century USA president Donald J. Trump.

If evil, sinful people can be converted, other evil people will also be converted; thus, sin in this world will be reduced.

RR’s Terry James nailed an outstanding article (again) on end-times prayer in which, to me, gave ease to my heart regarding interpreting 2 Chronicles 7:14 (I paraphrase, “pray to God who will hear from heaven and heal our land”). I was getting a bit tired of the false teaching (but not discouraged) of people telling me that was Old Testament, that 2 Chronicles 7:14 was meant exclusively for the Jews and Israel when it is clear to me (and Terry!) that all of God’s word is correct for past, present and future. That includes right now in the USA and planet Earth.

Prayer List info and guidance

A good way to build a stronger prayer life is to print off hard copies of Prayer Lists #1 to #15 and following, and at any time of day or night when you as an individual want to pray to the Lord, take out your printed copies and read/pray over them again. This is also great for family group prayer and home-church group prayer. God has a very big memory, and all prayers are recorded by Our Lord and Savior.
