EXTREME WEATHER EVENTS
United States: Fires lead to air pollution alerts throughout U.S. as fires continued. Smoke blanketed western, southwestern, and northern states amid severe drought and higher than normal temps. California is preparing for potential power cuts as a result. Fires have destroyed over 1.7 million acres. Smoke from Canada drifted into the northern U.S. Fires last year in the U.S. burned 4.2 million acres, making 2020 the most devastating season on record.
California and Oregon: Largest Wildfires Burning in U.S. Dixie Fire in California grew by 110 square miles (285 square kilometers) between Thursday night and Friday morning, the largest wildfire currently raging in the U.S. It’s consumed 432,813 acres. Oregon’s Bootleg Fire was previously the nation’s largest active wildfire, at 413,765 acres. Dixie Fire, only 35% contained and expected to grow, is currently California’s third-largest wildfire in history. Bootleg Fire, sparked July 6, is 87% contained.
California: Lake Oroville reduced to trickle, the state’s second-largest reservoir, as drought across the western U.S. continues to toast the region. The reservoir hit a record low level.
Canada: Heavy smoke hampering firefighting efforts, choking B.C. Interior as 245 wildfires burn. The largest fires are in the Kamloops Fire Centre. The province’s Interior region continues to suffer from wildfire smoke. Authorities warn of serious health risks of long-term exposure.
Greece: ‘A Biblical Catastrophe’: Wildfires Rampage Through Greece. Over 100 fires have broken out across Greece over the past few days. Two people are dead, including a firefighter. Greece has been baked by its most protracted heatwave in 30 years, with temperatures soaring to 45 degrees C (113 degrees F). Temperatures eased Friday, but the winds picked up, further exacerbating the situation. Scores of homes, businesses, and farms have been burnt.
Southern Italy: As Mediterranean Wildfires Rage, Italy Counts Environmental Losses. Two people have died trying to save their farms in Calabria. The high temperatures in southern Italy have prompted officials to put some areas of the country on red alert, like Sicily. Fires have been raging on the island and in other parts of Italy for days, with authorities struggling to contain the fast-spreading blazes that have charred thousands of hectares of forests.
Northern Italy: Plagued Again By Flooding and landslides.
Turkey: Wildfires Rage Across Turkey. Authorities ordered mass evacuations as fire crews battled over 180 wildfires amid one of the region’s worst heatwaves in decades. Amid scorching heat, low humidity and constantly shifting winds, the wildfires have swept through forests in Turkey’s southern and southwestern coasts. Eight people have died.
Macedonia: North Macedonia declares state of emergency as fires rage on. A one-month state of emergency was declared on Thursday.
Albania: Lit Up by Wildfires as Government Seeks Help Abroad. 70 fires are currently burning. Fire is out of control on the Karaburun Peninsula, where there is not enough firefighting equipment.
Russia: Smoke from Siberian Wildfires Reached North Pole. Siberia is a famously cold place. But since May, it’s been extremely hot and on fire. Several million acres have burned. The smoke reached the North Pole for the first time, and the plume is expected to reach Canada later this week.
Mexico: Drought-plagued northern Mexico, tens of thousands of cows starving to death. Warning: Graphic images.
Germany: Officials investigated for homicide over slow flood response that killed 141 people in their state. Rhineland-Palatinate state had the most lethal floods in six decades that killed over 170 people, cut power to hundreds of thousands, and left a repair bill of over 6 billion euros ($7 billion). As well as the death toll, over 700 people were injured by floods in Rhineland-Palatinate.
China: Death toll triples to over 300 in recent China flooding with 50 still missing. Over a million livestock animals are dead; there’s a food and water emergency, also fears of major disease outbreaks.
North Korea: Extremely heavy rains hit parts of North Korea from August 1 to 3, resulting in widespread damage to homes, infrastructure, and agricultural fields.

Director of the National Institutes of Health Dr. Francis Collins appeared on CNN telling parents to wear masks at home around their own children if those children are unvaccinated, but the parents are. Covid vaccines aren’t even yet approved for kids below 12. So that’s an issue. Another is that Covid still is very unlikely to spread to or from kids. By that afternoon, Dr. Collins took to Twitter to backtrack on the same weird advice he’d dispensed earlier on national T.V.
How does one follow this science? And what’s the science behind pestering Americans to get vaccinated while dumping thousands of Covid+ illegals all over the place? Fauci famously flipped on masks, which was bad enough. The medical establishment went all-in for BLM’s marches while keeping our churches, businesses, and schools closed. Covid mortality risk in children is almost zero, but “scientists” still want to mask all kids. It’s important to differentiate between children and young people (CYP) who died of Covid and those who died of an alternative disease process but coincidentally tested positive. And Covid is very rarely fatal, even among children with underlying comorbidities.

Vice President of National Border Patrol Council Chris Cabrera said. “We’re releasing people out of the door day in and day out with actual positive tests for COVID, and more keep popping up.” Two weeks ago, COVID cases among apprehended migrants in Rio Grande Valley jumped 900% over the last 14 months. The rapid increase in migrants testing positive is affecting border patrol agents’ ability to stay healthy and do their jobs. Texas Gov. Abbott issued an executive order to address the “rise in COVID among unlawful migrants” in the state. Biden’s DOJ, however, says the order is unlawful and told him to rescind it.

The latest censorship controversy is reminiscent of the suspension of writer Alex Berenson after he posted the public results of a Pfizer vaccine trial. Also, Twitter suspended commentator Dave Rubin for criticizing vaccine policies.

Right after Lebanon’s ruling party, Hezbollah, attacked Israel with missiles on Wednesday, Biden pledged close to $100 million in additional “humanitarian aid” to Lebanon, which the Hezbollah terror organization currently controls.

Israel carries out airstrikes in Lebanon after rocket fire from Lebanon into Israel. Israel’s Air Force struck southern Lebanon Thursday in a fourth round of retaliatory attacks. The Israeli airstrikes were the most severe since 2006 and came after the IDF fired some 100 artillery shells towards south Lebanon.
Hezbollah claims responsibility for rockets towards Israel from Lebanon. A heavy barrage of close to 20 rockets was fired from Lebanon into northern Israel on Friday, activating the Iron Dome and setting off sirens throughout the area. Israel responded with artillery fire towards the source in Lebanon.
Tensions in Middle East escalate after Iranian terror at sea. Iran has changed tactics in the shadow war with Israel and the U.S. to terrorizing commercial ships in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.
Gantz says Iran is 10 weeks from breakout to a nuclear weapon. “Therefore,” he added, “it is time to act. The world must apply economic sanctions and take operative action against the Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps,” which has targeted shipping vessels.
Will Israel face Iran alone? Israel can’t ignore the deadly attack on an oil tanker connected to an Israeli company. But with the Western world increasingly reluctant to engage as they seek to return to the Iran nuclear deal, Israel could find itself without allies as it faces a regional foe more belligerent than ever.

Those of us who know Bible prophecy know the significance of these latest developments and where it will lead – Isaiah 17, Ezekiel 38-39, and ultimately to Armageddon.
