Romans 8:1; “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
John 14:6; “And Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.”
Acts 4:12; “And there is Salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
Romans 6:23; “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus, Our Lord.”
Philippians 1:21; “For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
John 10:9; “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.”
John 10:14-16; “I am the Good Shepherd. I know My own, and My own know Me, just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to My voice. So there will be one flock, one Shepherd.”
John 10:27-30; “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are One.” (ESV – all emphasis mine)
Looking at the above scriptures, we see a love that our Jesus truly has for all of us. He is one third of the Holy Trinity – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – and could demand that He be worshiped as the deity that He actually is. Our Heavenly Trinity would never do that.
We see other “religions” with man-made gods that have strict rules about nearly every aspect of their lives. Every subject is expected to follow the rules without question. There are constant “works” and constant “prayers” to their god(s), with the idea they must never stop trying to appease them, or be cast out. They never know if they have done enough or not.
We are told that there are no works, no fees, no certain number of prayers that we must do to “please” our Savior. Ephesians 2:8-9 states, “For by Grace you have been saved through Faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works so that no one may boast.”
It’s very possible that with the errant mindset of the majority of the humans of this earth, Jesus is being denied because the plan of Salvation is too simple. Just as the Pharisees in Jesus’ time were so pious and adhered to what they proclaimed were “God-given” rules, man has a way of trying to rearrange the true and pure plan of our Heavenly Father. Jesus called them out for “straining out a gnat and swallowing a camel” (Matthew 23:24).
Jesus longs for a true “relationship” with every living human on this earth. John 3:16-18 tells us how much God loves us, and all He asks is that we believe in His Son. Verse 18 states, “Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.”
Today, the majority’s mood is to think of anything pertaining to Jesus and Christianity as being foolish. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 1:18, “For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God.” There are many more on that “broad path leading to destruction” than on the “straight and narrow path leading to eternal life” (Matthew 7:13-14).
Jesus said in Luke 9:26, “For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His glory, and the glory of the Father, and of the Holy Angels.” Can you just imagine what the attitude at the Great White Throne will be toward those who have rejected the Son of God and are told that the entire Heavenly Host is ashamed of them?
Romans 1:16; “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for Salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” That means everyone on earth.
Romans 10:11; “For the scripture says, everyone who believes in Him will not be put to shame.”
Two more: 1 Peter 4:16; “but if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name.” Then 1 John 2:28; “Now little children, abide in Him so that when He appears, we may have confidence, and not shrink away from Him in shame at His coming.”
Right here and now, for anyone who may have any doubts about my sincere love for the Savior, Jesus is My Lord of Lords, My Savior, My Redeemer, My King of Kings, and My absolute Best Friend. As stated in Isaiah 50:7, “But the Lord God helps me; therefore, I have not been disgraced; therefore I have set my face like flint, and I know that I shall not be put to shame.” Then Philippians 1:20; “as it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always, Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death.”
In today’s world, we all need the assurance of a wonderful eternity. The only way that will happen, no matter what all the false prophets and antichrists are saying, is to have Jesus as our Lord and Savior. He came willingly (John 10:18) to go to a cruel cross that should have been ours, to die an agonizing death that He did not deserve.
The pure, sinless blood sacrifice of Jesus is the only way that the Father will forgive us and remove our sins as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:11-12). When we do sin, as everyone will while in these human bodies (Romans 3:23), we have the assurance that when we ask forgiveness, the Father will do so. That’s found in 1 John 1:8-10 and 1 John 2:1-2.
Apart from Jesus, there is no other way to be forgiven. All who refuse to receive and accept the free gift that He paid so dearly for will answer for each and every sin, large or small, that they ever committed while on this earth. They will go through the White Throne Judgment of Revelation 20:11-15 and then be cast into the lake of fire forever. That judgment is at the end of the millennium, and there is no forgiveness or pardons granted there.
It should be noted, no one who is a part of the flock of our true Shepherd will be in that judgment. After we are Raptured, we will go through the Judgment Seat of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:10) to receive or lose rewards. However, all at that judgment will still spend eternity with the Savior in Heaven.
With all the signs that Jesus said that, when they “begin” to take place, we need to be looking up, as our redemption – Jesus Himself – is drawing nigh (Luke 21:28).
As I said, He is “My Jesus,” and I wish to share Him with anyone who will call out to Him to be their Savior as well. Romans 10:9-13 gives the steps. All the other verses in this message are here to let everyone know that they can be assured of their Salvation and where they will spend eternity.
There are no special rituals, no special sayings, and you can even be by yourself. If you will sincerely ask Jesus to forgive you and be your Savior forever, your witnesses are all the members of the entire Heavenly Host. Just be open and honest with your request to establish an eternal relationship with Him.
Jesus will not force anyone to call on Him, and He will turn no one away who truly does so. Your eternal soul is at stake, and there are only two places you can end up – with Jesus in Heaven, or with Satan and all his demons in hell. Choose wisely!
Come, Lord Jesus!
