EARTHQUAKES

Deadly 5.9 earthquake topples homes and collapses mines in Pakistan early Thursday. At least 23 people are known dead and at least 200 others injured.

Strong 6.1 earthquake hits near Tokyo, Japan, disrupting public transport throughout the Metropolitan area. A train derailed, injuring at least three people. Water pipes ruptured, a fire broke out, and the wall of a building collapsed. More quakes of similar intensity are possible over the next week or so.

VOLCANOES

Canary Islands volcano ‘much more aggressive’ as new fissures erupt. The lava has so far destroyed or partially destroyed more than 1,000 buildings, including homes and farming infrastructure, and entombed around 709ha on the Spanish archipelago off north-west Africa.

Gerber and Beech-Nut failed to properly test and remove baby foods with dangerous levels of inorganic arsenic from the market, while Sprout Foods Inc., Walmart’s Parent’s Choice and Plum Organics (formerly owned by Campbell) were lax in testing and controlling for heavy metals such as lead, mercury and cadmium, according to a US Congressional report released by the House Subcommittee on Economic and Consumer Policy.

WARS AND RUMORS OF WARS

Tick-tocking towards Isaiah 17 and Ezekiel 38-39. Israeli airstrikes target T4 airbase near Homs, Syria. Hezbollah and Iran hold a notable military presence at the airbase. Two members of pro-Iranian militias were killed in the attack. Israel is determined that Iran and its proxies will not win in their wicked agenda.

IDF chief: Israel will pursue operations against Iran on all fronts. Lt. Gen. Aviv Kochavi stresses the importance of quality intelligence in the battle against the Iranian regime’s nuclear aspirations and says Israel’s operational plans “will continue to evolve and improve.”

Are winds of war brewing on the Iranian border with Azerbaijan? And how are Israel, Turkey and Russia involved? Iran launches large military exercise as Tehran becomes increasingly concerned Israel is spying from across the Azeri border. Just last week, Turkey’s President Erdogan decided that after talks with Biden proved disappointing, he’d seek closer ties with Russia. Indeed, Erdogan and Russia’s President Putin wasted no time, meeting last week and deciding to jointly produce jet engines, warships and submarines.

Kings of the East: Taiwan defense minister says tensions with China are the worst in four decades. Over a four-day period beginning last Friday, Taiwan reported close to 150 Chinese air force aircraft entered its air defense zone, part of a pattern of China’s continued harassment. Defense Minister Chiu Kuo-cheng said China already has the ability to invade Taiwan, and it will be capable of mounting a “full scale” invasion by 2025.

CONCLUSION

“Three Simple Metrics to Gauge Our Times” By Todd Hampson. Excerpt: There are a handful of key factors we can keep an eye on to gauge where we are on God’s timetable. We can’t know the day or hour, but Scripture tells us we can know the season (Matthew 16:3, Luke 12:56, Hebrews 10:25). This list of metrics is by no means exhaustive but is meant to provide an easy-to-follow, clear, and compelling list that can show us how close we must be…. Here are 3 simple, clear, compelling metrics to evaluate for yourself to see if you think we are rapidly heading for the kairos moment of the church age as things seem to be coming to a head.

1) Israel. The prophecies that foretold Israel would be reborn all describe this super-sign event in the context of the end-times. Joel 3:1-2 even provides time clues, letting us know that when Israel would become a nation again, that would be in the same general time frame that all end-time events would take place.

Joel 3:1-2. “In those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will put them on trial for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel, because they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land.”

There are scores of specific details the Bible prophesied about Israel and the Jewish people both chronologically and in terms of special specific appointed moments that were prophesied in Scripture.

2) Globalism vs National Sovereignty. There is a widespread, specific, and intentional efforts of the world’s most powerful influencers…to bring about a one-world government.

3)Ezekiel 38-39 War. All of the nations listed are Islamic nations who currently want to destroy Israel—except for Russia, which will be there leading the pack to take something valuable from Israel (oil, gas, natural resources, technology, et al). Russia will serve as a guard for the others, but the main partnership will be with Russia, Iran, and Turkey. This partnership is currently in place, and Syria is merely a puppet state being run by those 3 nations.
