Not only I, but other writers on this site have written about the days we find ourselves in with reference to the last days.
These are the last days of the Church age before the Rapture and the subsequent Tribulation. Reference is made to the opening verses of 2 Timothy chapter 3.
The “perilous days” of the KJV is more correctly rendered as “difficult days” or “days of hardship.” What are these days going to bring, and what is the particular reference to Christians? As Timothy was the one Paul addressed, then I think the difficult days might apply more to the Christian rather than to the world, but this will be general in application. I want to wander around a bit and look at some of this from my perspective, which is a bit different from the normal here, as my view is Australian. There are some wonderful insights on current happenings on RR from men like Terry James, Daymond Duck and Jonathan Brentner, among others, and I would suggest that you acquaint yourselves with those.
Australia is heading for a Federal Election in a few months, and the latest opinion poll has been released. It shows a considerable drop for the incumbent government called the Liberal/National Coalition. It is similar to the American Republican Party, and our Australian Labor Party is akin to the very worst of the American Democrats. The poll shows a significant victory for the Australian Labor Party (ALP), who will govern with support from the Greens. The ALP is Marxist, and the Greens are communist. The Greens are running at 11% support and give all their preferences to the ALP.
The Australian States have their own governments (6 of them), and all but one are in the hands of very radical ALP governments.
Under those State Govts, Australia has had the most severe lockdowns in the world and restrictions of insanity.
The police have been out enforcing control measures and fining people to the extent that it can be considered the beginnings of a police state. It is criminal what has happened to Australia. A few journalists compare it with Europe in the 1930s. In fact, in Western Australia just a day or so ago, the police raided a Catholic church during their mass, demanding documentation from people to prove all the vaccines. This has been unheard of in this nation until the last 2 years. I know of an Anglican church in Queensland where the same thing happened but not a demand for documentation.
The Greens are currently before the Australian Supreme Court to silence Christians so they cannot speak on social issues.
They hate Christians, and their communist policies are against them. The Greens are made up of radical environmentalists and homosexuals. The so-called gay lobby of Australia is working towards the shutting down of Christians in Australia. They talk about the freedom of speech, but they want the freedom and for Christians to have none.
Already there are draconian laws passed that make it illegal for Christians to speak against homosexuality with great fines and, I think, jail terms. It all goes under the umbrella of “sexual vilification and homophobia.” My understanding is that this may operate to some extent in the USA, or laws are pending to make it so in some States.
[Incidentally, this word “homophobic” that is leveled at Christians – it comes from “homo,” meaning man and “phobos,” fear. It means a fear of the male species, NOTHING to do with opposition to homosexuality. In a coming day, all these God-hating homosexuals, the radicals among them, will stand before the great white throne, and they will have to explain.]
There are no prophets for the last 1,900 years, but what we do is speculate and evaluate with the evidence we have before us.
I think the ALP will win the next election, and it will be a great disaster. The Greens who give the ALP their preferences will demand their policies which will not be much better than living under moderate communism.
Already masks are mandated in society and schools by the States. It is a disgrace, but the control is everywhere.
Let us consider this control. It is said that Australians are the most apathetic people in the world who can be dictated to by authorities (and it is largely true).
This pandemic has given authorities the perfect avenue to enforce control, and they will not relinquish it.
Australians are compliant, and so many don’t question anything. They are good “herd people.”
About 30 years ago, the then Prime Minister, John Howard, legislated to remove all firearms from the nation. No one owns a firearm except some farmers and station properties (ranches) and a few people who belong to gun clubs. The police walk the streets bristling with them.
Everything in Australia is protected. A farmer cannot shoot anything except feral pigs. All vermin is protected because there is to be no control of anything living. There are well over two million feral cats in Queensland, but you can’t shoot them except in special circumstances (and there are no firearms anyway with ordinary people).
It is illegal to hunt, capture or keep ANYTHING. There are millions of dangerous saltwater crocodiles over northern Australia, but to shoot one or kill one will send you to jail. In my own State, to go within 10 meters of a creek where a crocodile may be is a fine of 4 to 10 thousand dollars.
According to the Queensland Department of Environment and Resource Management’s website, anyone caught killing or harming a crocodile in Queensland can expect to face two years behind bars or pay a fine of up to $225,000. Throwing an object at a crocodile can be considered as harming the crocodile.
James Nason, 23/03/2017 reported this in regard to a fire break deemed to be a bit too wide – “Getting the answer wrong, despite receiving conflicting advice from several different Queensland Government staff, has just resulted in a Queensland landowner being forced to pay $999,780 in fines and costs.”
This is the stupidity that takes us to the worship of four-footed things in Romans 1. Australia has tens of millions of flying foxes (the largest fruit bat in the world), and sometimes just before sunset, the sky is almost blackened with them as they leave their roosts for the night. They are worshipped by so many who describe them as “cute.” We don’t know what demons can look like, but I think to look into the face of one of these flying foxes is like looking at one.
The flying fox carries two deadly diseases – Lyssa virus and Hendra virus. It is but a small step for them to contract some deadly disease like Corona from bats, but the Greens have the dictates over such matters. If they had arrived from some foreign destination in the past few years, there would be control measures to eradicate them.
Now, I could go on, but I want to look at how we got to this disastrous situation.
- EDUCATION. This I know about, and it is tragic what has happened. I do not know the American system, but it would not surprise me if you are not the same. In the 1980s, a slow change began in the curriculum and teacher training.
That very quickly evolved into a rapid decline in the next 10 years to overhauls of curricula. From that point onwards, and even before that, too many educational psychologists were asked for input.
The basics were not taught, and it was said by the humanistic advisors that children learn by some nebulous permeation.
Numerics went; grammar went; spellings went; physical writing standards went.
Then from around 2010, the curriculum became a socialist one. Now, of course, you all know education is now about sexual and gender fluidity and all about saving the earth; poor mother earth is being destroyed by the previous generations.
Of course, heading all this up now is climate change, the great deluded lie of manipulation by the devil to coerce all the nations of the world, helped by the Chinese virus. The globalists love it. It is the Great Reset, the agenda of the World Economic Forum.
What I have also observed is that current teachers who have been trained in child psychology and spin and more spin by atheists and humanists at universities are the very ones who first grew up under the corrupted system 15 to 20 years ago. The bad passes on the bad. One project given to 8-year-olds that I know of posed a statement – “The Great Barrier Reef is dying. How can we save the Reef?”
Firstly, it began with an assumption. In fact, the Reef has never been healthier, but the moderate voices are silenced, and the radical greenies (and left-wing news media and National Geographic), these “experts” often imported from foreign countries, are the ones listened to. I know what the whole agenda of that project was. It is to blacken and demonize coal power stations, of which Australia only has a relative few, to force the nation to windmills, the most expensive means of power generation. This dogmatization of children is outright propaganda, but that is what the education system has become.
- THE MORAL DECLINE.
A careful study of Romans 1 sees the stepped decline of the human race. Human society went down, but Christianity rescued it. Now with every Christian value disparaged and vilified, the human race (at least in Australia) is again in quick decline. There is one key to this. It is the acceptance of homosexuality. I would like to move to a breakup of this Romans 1 decline.
Romans 1:18 “The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness.”
The verse is a declaration that all ungodliness and unrighteousness fall under the wrath of God. Paul says it “is revealed,” but we don’t really see that in the world because we live in the age of grace. One thing I will say, and it is biblical: In the past, the Old Testament reveals this wrath falling many times – Noah’s flood, the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, the overthrow of Nineveh, and the captivity of Israel and Judah are all aspects of the revealed wrath of God from heaven. In the future, it will fall horrifically in the Tribulation that is coming quickly.
In the history of the world, the suppression of truth is widespread in all generations. There are men and women in all top positions who censor information, distort the real truth, and blatantly promote the lie. Satan has established many ideologies opposed to God, and one, for example, is the left and the right. These dominate today’s politics in the western world. Politicians take their positions and lie openly about the agendas.
Newspapers are so controlled by the far left in much of America and Australia, and Britain. I have no doubt about that, and it is not withheld either.
The ABC and SBS in Australia, all government-funded like the BBC, are so controlled by feminists, homosexuals, Islam, and extreme environmentalists that you never will hear an interview with any person considered moderate or who has biblical Christian convictions. I kid you not.
Decent politicians seem more and more powerless to turn back the clock on all of this. Even the good ones are crushed by the size of the mountain.
We may ask, “How has this happened?” Well, Paul answers it as he continues in his progression. I want to say this to the shame of our nations, that this strongest field of anti-God activity by these truth supressionists is in the classroom and in all the activities of the young people. Our younger generation is being polluted, made to feel uncomfortable about their gender.
I have seen reports where children, younger and younger, in sex education classes are told to go out and experiment, for nothing is wrong. All interaction, heterosexually and homosexually, in experimentation, is good. Some schools have become the dispensary for condoms. There is no moral framework. Now we have gender assignment, and rejection of those who think a family can be only one man and one woman. Why is this? It is because the truth has been suppressed. Nature does not like a vacuum. When the truth is suppressed, then the vacuum is filled with the lie.
When God’s position has been replaced, then Satan’s position rises.
We live in times where this is profound, as all the Satanic agencies are suppressing the truth. Where do we see it?
- Churches and Christian schools face increasing pressure.
- The Bible has been withdrawn from schools.
- Universities and Governments and Media (especially social media – Facebook and Twitter) are godless and suppress Christian input.
- Media and legislation restrict the Bible and Christian activity.
- Homosexuals and all the rest have more rights now than Christians in Australia. Technically I am not allowed to speak against homosexuality.
- No right of reply is given to Christians or churches to respond to some evil practice an organization or a government brings in.
- The PEW Foundation declares Christianity is the most persecuted faith in the world.
8.Our society’s values have been turned on their head. Some churches of our countries have become traitors. Some religious leaders are taking the media stage to promote homosexuality and a christ who is not in the Bible.
- WOKE nonsense. Christmas is all Merry Christmas now and Santa Claus and reindeers. A few years ago, Woolworths changed “Father’s Day Cake” to “Special Person’s Cake.”
Woolworths was eliminating “Christmas” from their usage, Christmas trees being the first to go.
I saw a worksheet at Christmas from one of my granddaughters from school. She is 6. It contained a story and coloring in for an activity. The activity was from “the dreaming.” You probably do not know what that is, but it is the spirit dreaming of the Australian Aborigines, for their entire religion and practice is built on spiritism, called “the dreamtime,” the worship of Satan in the Dreamtime Serpent. The Education Department is exposing our children to all this evil. They even open Parliament with this stuff.
Righteousness that exalts a nation is fast declining or gone.
Those of us who are older can sit quietly and think about what it was like many decades ago. There was a fear of God to a fair extent and a godly respect in our countries. People had a consciousness of God, even though quite a number were not Christians.
Nearly all kids went to Sunday School and were taught the Christian ethic. We used to march into our classrooms in the 1950s to Onward Christian Soldiers or some other hymn, and that was a State School in Queensland.
Jeremiah could very well have been speaking of our time when he wrote – 17:5 “Thus says the LORD, ‘Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind and makes flesh his strength, and whose heart turns away from the LORD.'”
It is a fact today that men’s hearts have turned away from the Lord, and governments and politicians are now, in the main, godless, and turn the nations even further away. In fact, the decline in the USA in the past few years is staggering. Who could ever have thought that Hillary Clinton’s and the Democrats’ platform was to allow abortions right up to the 9th month?
In my State, it applies right up to the day of birth.
Isaiah lived in times resembling ours, and he had cause to write this – Isaiah 5:20-21 “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil, who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness, who substitute bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight!”
This is a society turned on its head, and the second woe Isaiah uses concerns the self-deluded who think they are the wisdom of society, and self-made cleverness.
Paul tells us what God thinks of these people – 1Corinthians 1:25 “because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.”
And why is it that men hate the cross? Here it is here – 1Corinthians 1:18-19 “The word of the cross is to those who are perishing foolishness, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God, for it is written, ‘I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and the cleverness of the clever I will set aside.'”
People hate their sin to be exposed by God, and God’s ways are against their willful natures. In fact, Christians are told not to be wise in their own estimation, and it is found here – Romans 12:16 “Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation.”

I am wanting to place on the internet a good deal of my Christian work and study. This will include almost 90,000 words in poems, and then there are messages, articles, series on subjects like the current one I am doing, The Psalms of the Sons of Korah; and of course, some of the eschatology subjects I have written on. Also, I’d like to put some photos, especially tropical rainforest fungi, as they tell amazing stories about the creation of God. Also, I think I’d like to do a small weekly feature.
The trouble is I am quite brainless (well, very) with that sort of technology and feel inadequate at trying to make something.
I would welcome any ideas or suggestions for a web page or site. I am 78 and would like to get the stuff out there while I can still think!! For some years, I have been trying to resolve this problem.
If any could set me in the right direction, it would be appreciated.
