Prophecy, An Ominous Signal to America :: By Dave Hubley

(There is a special message at the end of this article for those who might happen to read this and do not have Jesus in their life and are looking for peace and a way to better understand the present-day insanity and confusion.)

There is a phrase that we have all likely heard at one time or another over the course of our everyday lives when there is something we have become so accustomed to that we aren’t particularly cognizant of it.

It’s just “there.” Then, maybe, it isn’t.

It becomes “conspicuous by its absence.”

“Where did it go?” we ask ourselves. “What happened to it?”

This is especially true if it is a large and imposing presence.

Like an entire country.

Like America. The United States. The world’s most dominant and powerful country ever in the history of the world.

A country founded on the principles of God’s Laws and Precepts and which served as the basis for its Constitutional Laws.

The reasons that led a people to risk all in order to further the cause of Jesus Christ and the Christian religion according to the original, unpolluted form of the Mayflower Compact.

In all of the many future prophecies contained in the Word of God involving the disposition and dispensation of God’s justice and judgments of the nations, why is there absolutely NO MENTION, even obliquely, of the one nation that has, over the last two+ centuries, had such a massive impact on virtually all the nations of the world?

Why is there no reference to the one nation that has steadfastly stood by God’s chosen people, the nation of Israel, since its rebirth on May 14, 1948, and all the decades since then?

Until now.

God made this promise to Abraham, the Patriarch of His Chosen people, Israel:

“I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed” (Genesis 12:3).

Now, in 2023, the current American “administration” has openly and even aggressively sought to undermine and interfere with the safety and security of Israel.

“For this is what the LORD of Hosts says: ‘After His Glory has sent Me against the nations that have plundered you—for whoever touches you touches the apple of His eye— I will surely wave My hand over them, so that they will become plunder for their own servants. Then you will know that the LORD of Hosts has sent Me'” (Zechariah 2:8). Emphasis added by me.

There is a cautionary statement that has become even more relevant than ever before in history, both here in America and the world in general. It is primarily applicable in the realm of politics but certainly applies to all human activities:

“It’s not what they say. It’s what they do.”

Verbally, the U.S. still supports Israel, but the reality appears to be contrary to the “words.”

And God is not deceived.

Is America not now being “plundered by its own [servants]”?

“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap” (Galatians 6:7).

Does this verse apply only to individuals?

Is God inconsistent in His nature?

“The day of the Lord is near for all nations. As you have done, it will be done to you; your deeds will return upon your own head. Just as you drank on my holy hill, so all the nations will drink continually; they will drink and drink and be as if they had never been” (Obadiah 1:15-16). Emphasis added by me.

Those of us who study God’s future events in the light of His Prophetic Word are fully aware of the absence of any mention of America directly. It has been discussed and evaluated six ways from Sunday.

Some have made weak attempts to find America by inference, but I don’t believe there is any real basis for linking prophecy to America in that way.

America is simply MIA (Missing in Action).

Despite its current influence in world events, America, in future prophecy, is: “As though it had never been.”

There are some who point out that Bible prophecy is concerned only with activities in the Middle Eastern nations surrounding and/or directly affecting the State of Israel, and that accounts for America’s absence. That, I believe, is largely true.

But I would also point out that the prophecies of Ezekiel 38 + 39 would belie that fact to a degree. Russia does not necessarily fit into that scenario geographically but is a major part of the prophesied Gog/Magog invasion foretold by Ezekiel.

America, since May 1948, had always directly supported Israel. What’s changed?

Is America currently pledged to come to the aid of Israel as a friend and ally, or one of the nations who turn their back on God’s people and make meaningless and weak protests against this obvious attempt to destroy them, as noted below:

“Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish with all its villages will ask, ‘Have you come to capture the plunder? Have you assembled your hordes to carry away loot, to make off with silver and gold, to take cattle and goods, to seize great spoil?” (Ezekiel 38:13).

Is America an insignificant part of this “political protest”? There is no reason to assume this, and while it is possible, it is not certain, and it would clearly speak to an America that is no longer relevant. Maybe even has ceased to exist?

America is currently (now arguably) the strongest nation in the world.

Something will likely change all that.

I believe there is every possibility that America will soon be judged by God, not just for the rampant sin, perversion and open defiance of God that is growing, being allowed to grow, and even promoted by the government itself, but also because it is becoming a curse to Israel (and thus would have to be cursed by God).

America’s worship of Baal and the god of fortresses (its perceived military strength) will likely also invite God’s judgment. America’s military strength is being deliberately weakened and destroyed. Additionally, general financial collapse and natural disasters are increasing exponentially. (I believe that judgment is already underway.)

Due to the convergence of so many prophetic conditions noted by Jesus (Luke 21, Matthew 24, and Mark 13), the promised Rapture of the Church could be the final nail in the coffin that America is now busily constructing.

“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19). Emphasis added by me.

America’s complete absence from future prophecy is indeed an ominous signal for this country as a nation, but it is not ominous for those who understand this verse from the Book of Isaiah and have re-directed their trust in Him to Whom it should be placed:

“Put no more trust in man, who has only the breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he?” (Isaiah 2:22).

Now to the crux of this article.

There are many who look to political leaders and their promises. An honest but perhaps discomforting review of the last few “administrations” (including Trump’s) should remove the last bit of debris from your eyes and heart as far as human solutions are concerned.

God’s Word tells us that this very thing (trusting in human leaders) will result in the rise of an evil leader who will exercise almost total control over a world in which the survivors will be enslaved. This occurrence is described in (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4) as well as numerous other locations within the Scriptures. It is well advanced already.

If you are able to admit to yourself that there is no fixing the state of humanity by human endeavor, perhaps you will open your heart and spirit to the future that the God of creation has prepared for those who will humble themselves before Him.

“Seek the LORD while He may be found; call on Him while He is near. Let the wicked man forsake his own way and the unrighteous man his own thoughts; let him return to the LORD, that He may have compassion, and to our God, for He will freely pardon. ‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord'” (Isaiah 55:6-8). Emphasis added by me.

It is indeed unfathomable why God would choose to die in our place to save us from the consequences of our own sin and rebellion.

But Jesus Christ, the Son of the One and Only Living God, did that very thing.

If you sense His call to you, I hope you will read this: Special message I promised you: and live.

For anyone who may read this article and has not trusted in Jesus Christ and therefore has no hope or peace in your life.

You can have hope. You can have the peace that Jesus has promised to all who have made Him their Lord and Savior. The peace that passes understanding.

It requires that you come before God on His terms.

And, what are His terms according to His Word?

  • Genuine repentance (turning to God instead of continuing to reject or ignore Him).
  • Confession of sins (that you are a sinner and acknowledge that to God).
  • That you understand that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).
  • To acknowledge to God that you are unable to pay that debt.
  • Belief that Jesus Christ paid your death sentence for you on the cross.
  • To believe that Jesus is the Way, the only Way, that God has established by which humans may be saved from the consequences of their sin and rebellion.

God has made it absolutely clear that there is no one who comes before Him, under His terms, that will be refused.

  • No one: no race, no color, no country of origin, regardless of any previous belief system: no one.
  • No matter what your past sins have been, God can and WILL forgive you because He says He will.
  • Salvation is available to everyone without any exceptions.

If you put all your trust for salvation in Jesus, and Him only, you can follow that prayer up by simply saying, “Thank you, Father God, for hearing my prayer and saving me,” because we can trust Him to keep His Word. He always has. He always will.

“Truly, Truly, I say to you that he who hears My words and believes the One who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned. He has crossed from death to life”

(John 5:24).

There are no answers and there is no hope in the world by governments, organizations, politics or politicians. There are only lies and deception. But you can have the Truth and the peace you seek.

The answers are in the Word of God—The Bible. If you ask God, with all your heart, He will hear you.

“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13)
