Malachi 3:16-18 “Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name. And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man that spareth his own son that serveth him. Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.”

Remembrance Definition: the action of remembering something: the action of remembering the dead, especially in a ceremony: a memory or recollection: a thing kept or given as a reminder or in commemoration of someone:
The word ‘Remembrance’ is a somber yet beautiful one that has been esteemed throughout the Bible. It is a word that Jesus employed to have us recall to mind the recorded events in His Word that were of utmost importance. Here are some examples:
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Philippians 1:3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
1 Corinthians 11:24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
Luke 22:19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
Isaiah 43:26 Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.
In my honest opinion, this topic is not talked about or taught often enough. Did you happen to know that there was something called ‘A Book of Remembrance’ that is right now in heaven? Did you realize that this important book among some very crucial others are currently being written, documented, and recorded before Almighty God for that day when we will all stand before Him?
Another way to put this is, were you fully aware that this ‘notable book’ will have records of all those who have spoken to one another about the Lord God (Jesus Christ) and who had ‘fear’ (honor, reverence, and who remembered and thought upon His Name)?
Knowing this, do you want to be of the ones whose names are recorded and mentioned in this ‘Book of Remembrance’? On Judgment Day, it has been written in God’s Holy Word that there will be books opened up in heaven on that day. The main one being ‘The Book of Life’ which has recorded all those who will enter into Eternal Life! Hallelujah for that book, especially for those who are saved (truly born again)!!!
Also, there apparently is ‘A Book of Sins’ which records the deeds and works of every person which will then be laid bare before God and for all who are standing there on that final and telling day. Not something we like to hear unless we are covered (bought and paid for by being born again) under the blood of Jesus.
Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

My Poem on Remembrance:
Who cares to Remember these days?
It was the best of times (or was it); it was the worst of times.
It was days filled with in-your-face, all-out evil and a time that our churches, schools, and healthcare could not be trusted.
Who chooses to Remember?
It was a time of broken hearts, ‘a silent epidemic’ of rampant family estrangement, lovelessness, lawlessness, and of promises not kept.
It was days writhed with internal pain that was oftentimes more than one could truly bear.
Who dares to put this to Remembrance?
It was a time like no other, for it was the Last of the Last Days.
It was also a time that was lovingly foretold by our Lord; He warned us that the love of many here would surely wax cold.
Who can bear all of these things to Remembrance other than Jesus?
Therefore, please come quickly Lord…. Maranatha!
In order to hold up under all of this during the time being, put Jesus Christ into Remembrance; you will be glad that you did!
In Remembrance of my Lord Jesus Christ and in His Name, Amen!
