(There is a special message at the end of this article for those who might happen to read this and do not have Jesus in their life and are looking for peace and a way to better understand the present-day insanity and confusion.)
The American people are waking up to what’s going on, according to Donald Trump Jr. in the below-linked article.
He is not the only one who is making this observation, and I don’t really have any reason to argue with his conclusions. However, I do sense that there is a message here that somehow a political awakening will matter in the long run. I don’t think it will.
I’m not attempting to denigrate those who are beginning to see that while they have been going about their lives obeying the law, earning a living, feeding their families, and all the other things that law-abiding Americans have been doing over the last 250+/- years, there has been a steady erosion of our nation’s foundational integrity.
That it is no longer gradual and that it is also intentional is the clanging gong that has begun waking the masses. The reality of Bible prophecy awakened me from the position I once shared with those who held that the America that had always existed (primarily in our own minds, I’m afraid) would continue to exist, that it would remain as we imagined it, and as it seemed to do for so many years. But God’s Word says otherwise.
Sad to say, while we have been busy living our lives, forces that have long been committed to evil and the subjugation of the world’s population have been cementing their influence and control over the last major political impediment to the implementation of a global power of evil in worldly terms. While America is not the only impediment to this evil power, it is the most prominent one.
Many of us have participated in on-the-ground battles and wars to destroy and/or restrain the rise of evil in the form of communism, fascism, imperialism, and other human-initiated “isms” as they arose. However, this battle is evil-ism. Evil for its own sake.
Much success had been realized by this country in stopping the worldly forces of evil. Up until the end of World War II, America had always acknowledged her dependence on God and dedicated prayer and our national welfare to Him. He seemed to guide America in her more noble causes during those times. However, after WWII, a noticeable shift occurred.
America became unequally yoked with a human-established organization. An association with God was implied or perhaps assumed, and even a Biblical verse from the Book of Isaiah (Chapter 2 v 4) was indirectly linked to it. But reality hints at a sinister connection that has been forged with powers that had been largely unacknowledged and certainly unseen. What would eventually become the United Nations became a stumbling block in place of prayer to the living God that we had always depended on.
Across from the UN Headquarters in NYC, there is a wall, referred to as the “Isaiah Wall,” that is engraved with the following “partial” verse from the Biblical Book of Isaiah:
“They shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.”
Like a smokescreen laid by destroyers on convoy duty in the Atlantic in WWII to disguise the location of unarmed merchant vessels, there is a smokescreen built into this incomplete quotation of Isaiah 2:4 across from the UN Headquarters building in NYC.
Something has been left out. The fullness of the actual verse from Isaiah contains a reference to Him who authenticates and legitimizes the entire meaning and context of the Word of God.
“He shall judge between the nations, And rebuke many people; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war anymore” (Isaiah 2:4). Emphasis added by me.
He, the Messiah, Jesus Christ.
It is He that the designer of this monument has either intentionally or unintentionally omitted from the actual scripture, inspired by God and written by the prophet Isaiah.
It is also He who America has forgotten to retain in its knowledge and at its helm.
I can’t help but believe that the omission of the Lord Jesus Christ in this fluffy-sounding, partial quote of Scripture is reflective of the level to which this country has fallen, and therefore, this omission is accepted and even embraced, despite God’s clear warning.
“You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it” (Deuteronomy 4:2).
If one reads this partial verse as inscribed on the monument, one might get the erroneous idea that “man” will achieve ultimate peace and harmony by his own means. That it is by man’s rule and authority that these verses will be brought about and only by his own power.
An honest review of current worldwide events reveals a very different truth. The world is crashing and burning under man’s perverted form of “authority” and “power,” and it could not be more obvious.
There is only one version of the Truth. Without Jesus Christ:
Swords will never be beaten into plowshares.
- Spears will never be fashioned into pruning hooks.
- Mankind will never stop learning and implementing war.
Placing trust in any human, be he politician, leader, businessman, or gifted speaker, is an exercise in futility. Hope, like trust, is only as valuable as He in Whom it is placed.
When hope is not placed in God alone, it becomes like a surveyor’s tape of bright orange or green left out in the weather, fading to pastels and then to faint hints of what it once was.
I believe we have left America out in the weather for far too long. When a nation, or a world, willfully rejects Truth, it crosses a line made clear by God in His Word.
“Therefore calamity will come upon him suddenly; in an instant he will be shattered beyond recovery” (Proverbs 6:15).
God has made the outcome clear in His Word that humankind, through rejection of His
Laws, Precepts and Ordinances, would bring about His Righteous Judgement.
It has never been a secret that this would come to pass at its appointed time.
I believe it could not be clearer that all the prophecies in the written Word are converging in real-time, as promised.
Now to the crux of this article.
There is a Hope. A real Hope.
“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).
I pray you can see beyond this hopeless state of human affairs into the light of the promise God has made to you by His Glorious Son, Jesus Christ, where Hope is grounded in Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6).
The special message I promised you:
For anyone who may read this article that has not trusted in Jesus Christ and therefore has no hope or peace in your life.
You can have hope. You can have the peace that Jesus has promised to all who have made Him their Lord and Savior. The peace that passes understanding.
It requires that you come before God on His terms.
And, what are His terms according to His Word?
- Genuine repentance (turning to God instead of continuing to reject or ignore Him).
- Confession of sins (that you are a sinner and acknowledge that to God).
- That you understand that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).
- To acknowledge to God that you are unable to pay that debt.
- Belief that Jesus Christ paid your death sentence for you on the cross.
- To believe that Jesus is the Way, the only Way, that God has established by which humans may be saved from the consequences of their sin and rebellion.
God has made it absolutely clear that there is no one who comes before Him, under His terms, that will be refused.
- No one: no race, no color, no country of origin, regardless of any previous belief system: no one.
- No matter what your past sins have been, God can and WILL forgive you because He says He will.
- Salvation is available to everyone without any exceptions.
If you put all your trust for salvation in Jesus, and Him only, you can follow that prayer up by simply saying, “Thank you, Father God, for hearing my prayer and saving me,” because we can trust Him to keep His Word. He always has. He always will.
“Truly, Truly, I say to you that he who hears My words and believes the One who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned. He has crossed from death to life” (John 5:24).
There are no answers and no hope in the world by governments, organizations, politics or politicians. There are only lies and deception. But you can have the Truth and the peace you seek.
The answers are in the Word of God—The Bible. If you ask God, with all your heart, He will hear you.
“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13).
