With each passing day, end-time prophecies are being fulfilled at an incredible rate. References to the “Midnight Hour” and time left on the “Doomsday Clock” are stating that time for this age is growing very short. Just recently, the countdown for the “Doomsday Clock” has been currently reported as being just 90 seconds to midnight. This “clock” was created by scientists on the Manhattan Project that metaphorically tracks how close we are to destroying our civilization with our own technologies (ESV – all emphasis mine).
For those who have never heard of the Manhattan Project, it was a group of scientists; most notable was Oppenheimer, whose goal was to produce nuclear weapons in WWII.
It should be noted that our Heavenly Father knows exactly the hour, minute, and even second that this current age will end, and the wrath/tribulation will begin (Matthew 24:36). At the time our Savior told us about this, He was in human form and allowed Himself to be lower than the angels before His crucifixion (Hebrews 2:7, 9). Immediately after stating, “It Is Finished!” in John 19:30, Jesus died as a human but was fully alive as our Savior, Creator, Redeemer, Good Shepherd, and King. For all true believers, that instant guaranteed that we have the opportunity to have a Heavenly Home with our Jesus forever.
Our Savior gave us signs of what would be happening just before He comes to take us from this earth. His warning signs are also found in Luke 21, and a very significant verse there is Luke 21:28, “Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads because your redemption is drawing near.” The major turning events started about a decade ago and have not slowed down. We could safely say our redemption being near is very accurate.
Right about here would be a good spot to once again post a song by Andrae Crouch (7/1/1942 – 1/21/2015) called “Through It All.” It was released in 1972 and is very inspiring.
1.) I’ve had many tears and sorrows; I’ve had questions for tomorrow; there’ve been times I didn’t know right from wrong. But in every situation, God gave me blessed consolation that my trials come to only make me strong.
2.) I’ve been a lot of places, and I’ve seen millions of faces, but there were times I felt so all alone. But in my lonely hour, yet those precious lonely hours, Jesus let me know that I was His own. That’s the reason I say that:
Ref.) Through it all, through it all, Oh, I’ve learned to trust in Jesus; I’ve learned to trust in God. Through it all, oh, through it all, I’ve learned to depend on His word.
3.) So I thank God for the mountains, and I thank Him for the valleys, and I thank Him for the storms He’s brought me through. For if I’d never had a problem, I’d never know God could solve them; I’d never know what faith in His word could do. That’s the reason I say that: (ref)
4.) I’ve learned to depend upon His word; oh, through my sickness and pain; I’ve learned to depend upon His word; oh, through shame and sorrow, I’ve learned to depend upon His word. (ref)
With all the hate in the world, and especially toward Israel, is it any wonder that rumors of WWIII being close are flourishing? The stage is being set for the Ezekiel 38 War, which, again, is not that far off. All the players are being formed, just as our Heavenly Father’s word said would happen.
One very obvious feature is that the so-called super power of the United States has nearly been extinguished. Our “mighty nation” has just about become a laughing stock due to events that have taken place within the past four years. Having been in the military in my late teens and early twenties, I never thought I would see this change. That was the middle of the 1960’s.
We’re told in several places in the Bible, and especially in 1 John, that there would be false prophets and antichrists leading people away from the truth. Though this was nearly 2,000 years ago, it is definitely happening right now. Former biblical churches are “tweaking” messages to give people what they want to hear, not what they need to hear. Even Paul spoke about “ear tickling” messages designed to deceive in 2 Timothy 4:3-4. The messages are to fill the hearts with joyful and happy feelings, and the plates and pews will be filled.
First of all, ready for this: Jesus is not about evangelical religions. If they are giving His true words, it doesn’t matter what sign is over the door. Jesus had His most negative issues with the religious leaders of His day. They were using the Mosaic Law, but it was so changed from the original law that God gave Moses that Jesus told them constantly how wrong they were.
Romans 10:9-13 states, “because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Stopping here for just a moment, there are people who are unable to speak with their mouths, as they are mute for one reason or another. This does not disqualify them! God hears our “thoughts” as if spoken out loud from our mouths, and any who confess Jesus in their minds are not overlooked.
Continuing with Romans 10:10-13, “For with the heart, one believes and is justified, and with the mouth, one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, ‘Everyone who believes in Him will not be put to shame. For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing His riches on all who call on Him. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'”
This is what saves all of us who receive and accept Jesus as our true Messiah. While the Jews are God’s chosen people through Abraham, they are not given a free pass rather than accepting Jesus as their Savior. John 10:16 is clear on this.
Likewise, just because a person was a Muslim, this does not disqualify them from calling out and being saved. They can also become a member of our Jesus’ precious flock, and that goes for any and all man-made religions.
Joel 2:32, Acts 2:21, and Romans 10:13 state that all who call on the name of the Lord will be saved. It becomes a lifestyle that leads to a developing relationship with our Jesus.
That’s what Jesus’ message was all about. He didn’t look at a person’s past as to whether He would accept them or not. All of us are sinners, as Romans 3:10, Romans 3:23, and Romans 6:23 are very specific about this. As long as our hearts are willing to ask forgiveness and for Him to save us, He will not turn us away.
A good example is the Samaritan woman at the well. Jesus knew her lifestyle but was willing to accept her as one of His own. As a result of her testimony to the town folk, a lot of people became followers of Christ that day.
During these troubling times, we need a true Savior to lead us. The world will think we’re crazy and even hate us because they are in Satan’s grip. John 16:33 told us we would have tribulation here but that in Him we would have perfect peace.
Therefore, Through It All, we must learn to trust in Jesus; we must learn to trust in God. Once we have Jesus as our Savior, we look forward to the 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 and 1 Corinthian 15:51-53 description of the coming Rapture. No one can give the day or hour or even the second this will take place; however, rest assured that God promised it, and it will happen.
With all the evil going on today, it could be any time now. This would be a great opportunity to call out to be saved if you haven’t already done so. To wait could place you in a coming time that will be worse than anything that has ever happened so far in this world.
God promised He would keep all believers from the wrath in 1 Thessalonians 1:10, 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10, and Revelation 3:10. God doesn’t lie (Titus 1:2). Please don’t put your decision off, as tomorrow could just be too late.
Hoping and praying to see you at Home with Jesus soon!
