Life is very much like a crossword puzzle; there is little doubt about that fact of life. Have you ever thought about life being like a crossword puzzle? Well, I think you would likely agree that we all attempt to navigate this life the best we can to try and find the correct answers to all our life’s problems, just like when we are trying to come up with the right answers in a crossword puzzle.
Life has its ups and downs, and things can unexpectedly come at us from the political left or right. So, life can be tricky as we try to figure out the meaning of everything. Some things seem to never work out, but thankfully a few things seem to fall into place. Sometimes life seems to make perfect sense, but sometimes we need to try and try again to make sense of it. We often feel boxed in, so we try to think outside of the box to find the answers. Some answers are new to us, like a foreign language word, but I am sure we all enjoy familiar things, like the easy words in a crossword puzzle.
Sometimes the words and answers come easily, and sometimes they do not, so we find ourselves stumped and at a loss for words. We think we understand the mix of clues, but words fail us. The answers to problems can come quickly or take a long time to figure out. Some answers stare us in the face, but we just can’t see them. The answers to our problems can be short or long, sometimes we don’t have a clue, but then something dawns on us. There are times we just don’t understand, and our brain draws a blank, but then a thought or idea comes to us, like switching on a light bulb.
A few things are for sure in our lives, just like in a crossword puzzle. We have empty spaces in our lives to fill in and try to figure out, we all have dark places in our lives, and our days are numbered.
Some of life’s answers just seem to fall into our lap while others seem to require divine inspiration. A dictionary or Google can provide help in finding answers to a crossword puzzle, but only the Holy Bible can provide all the perfect answers that make sense in life because the Bible is the Word of God. The answers to be found in the Bible can lead a person to live a satisfying and successful life. If a person reads the Bible, it can likely answer the puzzles and mysteries of our life here on Earth.
But the ultimate Biblical answer for our lives is that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came DOWN from heaven to die on A CROSS to redeem us from our sinfulness and make us right with God the Father. If you will simply believe and trust that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, then you will ace every puzzle of life and be able to spend eternity in heaven, where everything will be made clear.
The New Living Translation of the Bible in 1 Corinthians 13:12 clearly explains how it is for us currently in this life and how it will be for us in our future heavenly home. The scripture says,
“Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.”
Accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, and you will learn and know all life’s answers one day.
