Elon Musk, appointed by Donald J. Trump, is using the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to expose the staggering amounts of United States government waste, along with the massive amounts of taxpayer money being used to fund that waste. Not just waste but also the corruption that allows the waste.
You would think all Americans would be on board with what Elon Musk, at the behest of Trump, is doing. However, the far left, with brain cells exploding and hair on fire, is having a meltdown over this and demanding that Musk stop immediately. They are even developing a new derangement syndrome called MDS. Musk Derangement Syndrome, which includes violently attacking Tesla dealerships and setting Teslas on fire.
A sane person might ask this question: Why would an American citizen be against exposing and rooting out government waste and corruption?
The answer seems simple enough.
Those who appear to be pro waste and corruption are either part of the corruption and are benefiting financially from it, or they could be brainwashed leftists without a shred of common sense. Or, they might be given over by God to reprobate minds that are broken beyond repair. The very people that Isaiah, a prophet of God, described in chapter 5 and verse 20 of the Book of Isaiah, where he speaks very telling, revealing, and chilling words: “Woe unto those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.” Those who “lean on their own understanding.”
It can be very difficult for a person with common sense and a logical mind to comprehend such a thing, and yet here we are. Right here on planet Earth in the year 2025, we are confronted with this very thing described by Isaiah. Actual human beings who not only see evil as good and good as evil but are 100% convinced that it is they who see things the proper way and that everyone else is an idiot, a racist, a fascist, and/or a Nazi.
How in the world did these human people who exemplify Isaiah 5:20 actually sink to such a level of dysfunctional thinking? How they got this way is a fair question to ask.
Romans 1:18-32 provides some strong clues as to how a person can sink so low as to become a poster child for Isaiah 5:20, and it starts with rejecting God, the one who created them. From that point, it spirals downward to the point of God declaring an individual to be fully reprobate and giving them over to that broken mindset.
God’s wrath against sinful humanity:
“The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
“For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God nor gave thanks to Him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal human beings and birds and animals and reptiles. Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.
“They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty of their error.
“Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed, and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice.
“They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them” (Romans 1:18-32).
The above revelations that Jesus gave to Paul and that Paul shared with the world suggest two things. One is that throughout history, there have been human beings who have rejected God our Creator to the point of being given over to a depraved or reprobate mind as a result. The second thing is that those words Paul gave to the world in Romans 1:18-32 also describe perfectly the state of the world in the year 2025.
The people, for example, in revolt against common sense that are exploding in anger over DOGE exposing the government waste along with the fraud and corruption are not behaving any differently than the people Paul describes. They exemplify what Isaiah warned against when he said, “Woe unto those who call evil good and call good evil,” and they got to that point by rejecting God and all that is Holy, and being given over to a depraved or reprobate mind.
Some Bible versions use the word depraved, and others use the word reprobate. Both words mean basically the same thing. One of the definitions of reprobate is depraved.
(Reprobate) Noun: a person without moral scruples.
Adjective: deviating from what is considered moral or right or proper or good.
Synonyms: depraved, perverse, perverted, corrupt, lacking in integrity.
Reprobate also: rejected as invalid, selfish, disreputable, not known for inner goodness, deviant, evildoer, a scoundrel, one morally abandoned and lost.
Getting back to the year 2025, people with common sense, especially those with common sense and who love God our Creator as well, see what DOGE is doing as a good thing and people like Donald Trump and Elon Musk as two of the good guys who are seeking to make right some things that are very wrong.
On the other hand, those with reprobate minds actually see Trump and Musk as evil, heartless tyrants who are even more wicked than Hitler or even Satan himself. And they view the exposing of corruption and holding criminals accountable as an act of pure evil. Thus, the death threats against both Trump and Musk are justified to them in their twisted way of thinking.
If some deranged Leftist were to succeed in carrying out one of these threats against either Trump or Musk, there would be much celebrating inside the collective, dysfunctional, broken-beyond-repair mind of the godless reprobate left.
Some on the conservative side refer to all of this collective, dismal behavior as the “Woke Mind Virus” similar to the Borg of Star Trek infamy; and although similar, from a biblical perspective it is fully reprobate. The agenda, however, and the misplaced delusional hopes of the “Woke Left” and the “Borg” are the same. The Woke and the Borg share the mistaken belief that “You will be assimilated, and resistance is futile.”
So, when you who have common sense behold this type of tweaked, upside-down thinking and behavior, don’t be the least bit surprised because they cannot help it. They do not know that they are broken. In fact, their inside-out thought patterns actually make them truly believe that anyone who disagrees with them is the one that is broken.
How does a sane person deal with such a thing? The division is set at 180 degrees. Exact opposites. Does this mean that followers of God should just give up on all of the reprobates who appear to be broken beyond repair?
The Word of God tells us that many shall reject the narrow gate and instead choose the wide road to destruction (Matthew 7:13-14). Even so, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, being amazingly merciful, would prefer that none should perish (2 Peter 3:9).
God the Father, who declares the end from the beginning and knows all about everyone ever born in intimate detail, as revealed in Psalm 139, knows if someone is borderline reprobate and might yet respond to a last-minute miracle. He knows also who would not respond and, in fact, refuse to repent up to the bitter end.
And so, since God knows and we do not, we need to continue praying for that miracle, even for those who appear to be fully committed to drowning in the reprobate swamp. Or, reprobate sewer if you prefer. God was, is, and will always be the merciful yet perfectly just judge as we stand in the gap for those who are lost and even reprobate seemingly beyond repair.
Miracles, because of God’s great mercy, can and do still happen.
Meanwhile, the difference is being dramatically revealed here in the year 2025 on planet Earth between human beings who love God and who still possess common sense and those who have rejected God and entered into that broken reprobate mindset.
A recent example of this here in America occurred at the State of the Union Address to Congress made just recently by Donald Trump. The right side of the room consisted of all the pro-common-sense people, and on the left side sat the vehemently anti-common-sense leftist crowd, collectively infused with the “Woke Mind Virus.”
The behavioral contrast between the two sides of the room was eye-opening, to say the least.
On the left side, however, behavior was being exhibited that was much more revealing than simply a disdain for common sense. These lost souls displayed a spirit of heartlessness and a hatred for anything and everything that Trump and the common-sense folks support and believe in.
As they either sat on their hands or held up little signs of protest, it was not difficult to observe how miserable they all were with scowling faces and their rude, disrupting remarks. They seemed more like pouting spoiled children, and it appeared that they had no soul.
They were unwilling and lacked the decency to even acknowledge children and families that were being recognized for overcoming tragedies, and in a completely bi-partisan way. Fueled by Trump Derangement Syndrome, they all sat there stewing, united in the morbid collective group-think mindset of reprobate thinking. They sat there with hearts of stone.
In Matthew 24:12, Jesus made this prophecy concerning the last days: “Because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” The truth of that statement was tragically on full display for all eyes to see.
Trump, at one point, made the comment that there was nothing at all that he could do to make them happy. Sadly, he was so right about that. This is what can happen to people who fall into the satanic delusion of seeing evil as good and good as evil. Their hearts become as cold as ice and as hard as stone. It is a painfully sad and pathetic thing to observe.
Reprobate people with broken minds should never be in charge of anything, let alone a nation. The previous four years provided numerous glaring examples as to why not. Still, and as the spirit of prophecy reveals, these and others like them are determined to rule the entire world. According to Bible prophecy, they will for a short time (Revelation 13:5-8).
As the time of the “Tribulation” and thus the “Rapture” approaches, the battle of good and evil is truly raging.
Only because the Restrainer (the Holy Spirit) still restrains has the reprobate mindset not mandated itself fully and brutally over the entire world and every soul walking upon it. When the Restrainer is removed by the Father at the time of the Rapture, literally all hell will break loose upon the earth.
If you haven’t already, there is still time to choose to repent and trust in Jesus. Still time to apply common sense and choose good over evil. Still time to become a part of this promise made by Jesus.
“Since you have kept my commandment to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth” (Revelation 3:10).
May the Will of God be done at all times and in all things.
