I have written many times about the past and how it affected me over the years, how it sort of “wrapped up my world.” Many times I have stated that people back then, many years ago were hardworking, honest to a fault, respectful of others. There is one word, I choose to use very little, mostly because it is maligned so much, so much so that it is almost unrecognizable in this generational period. The point is, if one were to go out and interview the masses, asking them their opinion, it would produce every conceivable type of answer there could possibly be for this one word: morality.
Try it sometime and see for yourself. People will change the word and use it differently, they will give the definition of the base word as according to Webster’s Dictionary, yet FEW (here we go again with that little word) will truly understand what the word “morality” truly means. My experience is one that has had many different first response phrases: “Oh…Wow! Umm…! That’s a tough one! Gee whiz! Owee!” And the list goes on and on. Suffice it to say that the majority, have very little idea of what the word, morality, truly means! Sad, to say the least…
It must be noted that “morality” as a word, much less used in one’s life, has gone by the wayside, like cursive writing, respect of others and a long list of other things, that would stand against what the majority really want. And then people have this look on their faces, like I just slapped them, if I even mention the “Rapture.”
Romans 13.9-14: “For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.”
I believe the Bible is very concise concerning our “morality.” Again the Bible is very simple to understand when one approaches the Word of God with the Lord’s wisdom and discernment. It is also very evident the world has no idea of what the “Word of God” says on these issues─not are they concerned in the least…with the consequence of disobediance to God. How else to better exemplify this than to watch the individuals in this world and compare their actions to the Bible.
Matthew 7.16-20 : “Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”
Use the King James Version of the Bible and look these few verses up for yourselves. Look at the words of the beginning and the words of the end! As you read, be sure to read the verses before the ones above and the verses after. You might be surprised at what you find, a litany of words that express the final destinations for disobediance of God’s Holy Word. Being disobediant to God’s Holy Word is the same as thumbing your nose at God!
Does this not portray the heart of these individuals, or maybe you haven’t looked at those like Lady Gaga or Miley Cyrus. Is there a need for this “Shock and Awe?” Of what use is this type of performance, the showing off of that which should be left ONLY for you and the Lord to know? I do NOT want to know these things about these peole and I dispise anyone trying to rub our collective noses in it! Now you know another word that has fallen by the wayside: decency.
Do you want to KNOW what the Word of God says about these days we are living in? Read the book of Joel and see for yourself, the “Day of the Lord is at hand.” As we look aound ourselves and see the debachery of every kind, we can say with all knowledge, the Lord is at the door. The Rapture of the church of Jesus Christ is next, maybe today or maybe tomorrow, either way, it is so close, you could reach out and touch the hem of the Lord’s robe.
Morality…has been forgotten, therefore respect for anyone is gone as well. Decency of our people has so eroded, that we stand naked before a righteous and just God, with nothing to cover ourselves with. Problem is, God sees the heart of each and every individual, thus the fruit of each of us is so very apparent to HIM. It then, matters little, whether we are found naked or not, it will be the actions of our lives that will stand out for all to know, and all it will take is for HIM to simply look at us! So then, the question is, will I be ashamed of myself, or will I be praising and thanking HIM for forgiving me of my SIN? I am going to say it over and over again, IT IS YOUR CHOICE!
