Finally…after three months of waiting, my Family and I are in Tennessee, Praise the Lord! My Wife and I are the Grandparents; we care for our Grandson and our 4 Dogs and 2 Cats while the kids are at work. It was an adventure to say the least, no sarcasm intended. Yet the Lord Blessed us in so many ways, and HE continues to Bless us right up to now.
Some people state that there is no God; and I must say they are incredibly wrong and so unobservant of all that goes on around them. The area we lived in, in Texas, was absolutely wonderful to me, and I Praised the Lord every day for it. It was so Peaceful and quiet, and yet it was so rich in wildlife! So then, when the kids told us that we were all moving to Tennessee…I was almost heartbroken.
As we all know, when the Lord closes one window, HE opens another to something more than one had before. That was exactly our case. Tennessee is very Beautiful; and once again I am enjoying Peace and serenity. I can’t thank the Lord enough for HIS Blessing!
Psalms 23:5 “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.”
How is that possible nowadays – do people still see miracles taking place or do they think that was from old times? My God, My Lord and Savior, never ages; HE never grows old, and as HE states in Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” HE provides the path, and then we are the ones that must walk it…with HIM. Satan and his ilk are the opposite! They never walk where you are; your sin makes you lonely, and you must suffer where no one can hear you cry – except for the Lord that is! And yet, so many have such hard hearts; they never hear the Lord calling them. How sad is that?!
They moan and wonder why they get Cancer and other such things, and at times shake their fist at God, never once realizing that it is their Sin that separates them…from HIM. Seldom do they understand that God is our Father, that HE Loves us! If they truly understood what Love is, their lives would be so different, so Peaceful and quiet. Does anyone truly remember that our lives here on Earth are meant to be temporary? That our Home is not here, but with the Lord God in Heaven? Do you remember the passage of Scripture that says;
Matthew 11:28-30 “Come unto ME, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
There again is a very small word, but it means so much! Every time I read that passage of Scripture, I see a man working out in the heat of the day, sweat pouring from his face, soaking his clothes, sapping his energy! And then the job is finished; time to kick back and relax with a cool drink of water. Immediately there is a renewing of strength and energy, wiping the heat of the job away.
Seldom do people ever consider, the Lord made that water. HE made the tree that provides the coolness of shade. He made the breeze to blow and cool our skin which cools the rest of our body, along with the water. And then they say there is no God?! How arrogant of that person! How about the simple fact of receiving from HIM…the next heartbeat or the next breath of air? Or even the fact that you woke up this morning, that you have muscles to work with or a mind to think with. You can thank the Lord God for your job. And the food you eat every day. The Blessings never end, my Friends!
I don’t know what others are thinking, but for me, if I am busy Praising and Thanking the Lord…I have NO time to complain. Thanking the Lord for HIS Blessings is a never-ending condition! If any mistake has taken place, I can assure you, it is with us and NOT the Lord! We always miss the mark. We THINK we are so intelligent, so smart…that we FAIL continually. What is up with that? You and I are the ‘Fallen Species’! Remember? We NEED the Lord more than any of us realize, and it is our Sin that separates you and me…from HIM.
Isaiah 59:2 “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.”
If we believe that the Lord God is perfect in every way, then why would we ever choose to rely on ourselves? Or how about the fact that the Lord God…KNOWS…the future! Does this make any sense to you? If HE already knows you and me and everything about us…WHY would we ever think to rely on ourselves for anything?!
Here is another fact: This life is Not about you and me…it has always been about HIM…it will continue to be about HIM. Through HIM we are Blessed in every way! Through HIM we have this life and everything in it! Through HIM we see one day after another, until HE calls us home; and it is then important to each of us…where that Home will be. We receive the opportunity to choose our Eternal Home…in Hell…or in Heaven!
Again, I want to Praise and thank the Lord God for HIS Love for me and my Family! HE has allowed my Kids to prosper in their work and for my Wife and I to have good health. Together we have a great Family, and it is because of HIM. Now we are looking for a new Church to attend and new Friends to enjoy.
Do we still have failures? Do we make mistakes? Of course we do; but then, without mistakes, how would we ever learn? Our experiences in Life define who we all are. That being the case, shouldn’t it be more prudent for you and me to rely on the Lord and only HIM? Doesn’t that mean we should be Praising HIM all the time? Absolutely!
We must look to HIM for Guidance and Wisdom…without HIM…there is nothing! That is the greatest Wisdom, HIS Love for you and me…and our Love for HIM. The Lord God IS Love!
I have truly missed writing for HIM and conversing with y’all as well! Praise the Lord continually, my Friends, and watch HIM work in your life. Remember to Praise HIM and Thank HIM for all things!
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
