It would appear that we humans, the fallen species of this earth think we do so much every day, and yet we have never created a single thing. We have the propensity of patting ourselves on the back for so many things, and yet all the resources we require for making such things were here to begin with long before we ever came to be.

Having stated that, do we ever see that all we ever do is to remove and change what was already here?

We did not create these resources, we always take away from what was here and we have no way of replenishing these resources. This is proof, that we are the receivers of these blessings from God and nothing more. So why is it so daunting for us to take a moment every day and thank HIM for these blessings?

Few ever take a serious look at what is here and realize how important all these resources truly are. We simply take them all for granted, we take God Almighty for granted and that my friends is blasphemy of God. Throughout our entire lives, we expect everything and the Lord God has indeed provided for us, whether or not we are saved or lost.

Has it ever crossed anyone’s mind, that the Bible has stated, “I am the vine and ye are the branches, without me, ye can do nothing!” Which means, without the Lord God Almighty, you wouldn’t even get the next breath of air or the very next thought. All things have been provided for us by God and without HIS allowing us to utilize these things, we would not exist.

John 15:1-5 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you.

As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”

For many, many, years mankind lived in homes made of mud and grass, cool in the hot summer and warm in the coldest of winters, yet were this materials already here? You know they were. Our steel and metals are from the earth, someone had to put the metals there for us to gather, melt and make our homes and offices.

Some of our homes are made of wood from trees, and yet we never made the trees, nor did we ever create them. There are so many things all around us, all the time, that we use to make things with, which enhance our lives. But never once did we create any of them. We owe everything we have to the Lord God, even our bodies.

Genesis 2:7 “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”

The one and only thing that God created in us, that separates us from the rest of the animals, is a spirit. Yet if we look closely at our Spirit, we do not own it, God does and HE requires that Spirit of us when we die as a human.

The body goes back into the earth from where it came and our Spirit goes before HIM. Everything we are is because of the creation of us by God HIMSELF. So how do get this idea in our heads that we owe God nothing or if we decide that there is no God at all? Again my friends, that is blasphemy of God.

Somehow or someway, we believe that our thoughts are all our own, the Bible calls it the intent of our hearts. We are always under the control of God Almighty and it is HE who either allows or disallows any thought; thus salvation, or the lack there of, though the blood of Jesus Christ, is the singular choice we are able to make. Thus, following Jesus Christ has future benefits, that we could only begin to imagine. Again, “Without me, ye can do nothing!”

Is it not yet evident, that if you wish to follow Satan and his ilk, your choices in life will be accordingly? Thus your life here will be a destruction and to end in eternal destruction?

Sobering thought, if you ask me.

Our motivation in life is directly related to our choice of whether we follow Jesus Christ or not. If by chance you live the life of “It’s all about ME.”Then all are able to see that you do not follow Jesus Christ. Our lives are supposed to be about all of us, moving in one direction, to the Lord God Almighty and HIS name is, Jesus Christ.

Anything else is worthless and self-absorbed. The people of this type are selfish and will never once feel the need to help others. As far as they are concerned, no one else exists. It makes me wonder, how truly happy they are…

John 15:12 “This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.”

There are times where we fail to use the Word of God correctly and we are able to find this in many, many, churches today. The most recognizable of this is on TV, when an evangelist stands up and says that we need to plant a seed by sending them $100 or so and even more if able.

In doing so we would reap 10 percent more of what we give. Far too many people fall for this scam. Many people have actually gone into debt in this measure. Again it was a “self-absorbed” evangelist, using the Word of God to line his own pockets.

How odd is it, the Bible has spoken of this sort of thing; it’s called prophecy. What is so odd, people that read the Word of God, would never fall for these sort of ; and if they did it would be because they read the Word of God incorrectly. Suffice to say:

James 4:2-3 “Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.”

As I have been attesting, failure to read the Word of God, will lead to many downfalls and disappointments. You MUST come to the Lord God Almighty, with your sins covered by HIS blood from the Cross.

You must come humbly and with respect for whom you are addressing and it will be answered one of three ways, Yes, No, let’s wait some. So then the problem becomes, how willing are we to wait and be patient on the Lord. That has to be our biggest problem of all, having to wait, as if we will lose by waiting on HIS judgment.

Our choices have consequence before the Lord God and HE has already told us these thing in HIS Holy Word;

Matthew 6:1-8 “Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men.

Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.”

Matthew 6:33-34 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”

My friends, is it not apparent that the Lord God Almighty knows everything about you, to include what your thoughts are going to be? Don’t let your life be dull and dismal, don’t allow Satan and his ilk rule your day and your thoughts; which will only cause destruction and failure

If you want a happy and full life while you live here on earth, then you must know the One who created it all and that he has the answers to every single problem you could ever have. HIS name is above all other names, it is Jesus Christ!

There is NOT enough money in this world to allow you to buy your way into heaven. As a matter of fact, there are NOT enough resources in the entire universe to be able to print enough notes or coins that will allow you to buy your way into heaven. Simply put, there is only one way to get into heaven and that is through the blood of Jesus Christ, from HIS Cross at Calvary.

John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Did you notice, “No man cometh unto the Father, but by me”? That’s the end to the entire question concerning whether we go to heaven or not. That is the end of it…that is the Truth… the whole enchilada. There is NO other way to God, except through Jesus Christ. That answers the question everyone is asking, because if you do not understand the answer…you are LOST!

Matthew 6:19-21 “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”

My friends, we already know, that this life here on earth is short. That being said, why would you give up common sense for money? What on earth would persuade you to think of God as an ATM machine? To what end?

As it stands right now, we have no idea when we will die, tomorrow is NOT a guarantee by any stretch of thought. If today is to be your last day on earth, what good is all your money?

As people die, in hospitals and wherever, none of them are sitting there and taking any notice of their financial portfolios! No one lives past 120 years of age. So why do you spend so much time trying to acquire huge amounts of money? As you already know, you can’t take it with you.

Has it ever occurred to you how many people die every day? There is NO class distinction in the cemetery, NO mention of wealth, just plain old bodies. Do you ever get the impression, that maybe you have been misguided in some way?

For me, it feels like I was 30 years of age…about two years ago and yet, I am 65 years old. Life is NOT going to wait on you, any more than it did for me and so many others. As the young like to say, “Life is short, get a life!”

Matthew 21:16 “And said unto him, ‘Hearest thou what these say?’ And Jesus saith unto them, ‘Yea; have ye never read, out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?’”

And yes, we have the ever-present self-help books. And the books for prosperity; and then there are the books about how to feel good about yourselves. Does anyone read the Holy Word of God, the Lord God Almighty’s words, from HIS Lips to you and me?

Why are so many praying for prosperity, of what use is piety… before an all knowing God? Does anyone think about where the big thick line is drawn, between this life and the life of eternity?

2 Timothy 4:1-4 “I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

Itching ears…Wow! What a concept to read in the Word of God, right? So what do you think this passage of Scripture is talking about? Could it be about, what you seek? What exactly is your treasure…where does it lay…how important is your treasure in comparison to say…heaven?

Oops! There I go again, stepping on someone’s toes, on someone’s spirit. I’m just too “old fashioned.” Right? I am always throwing water on the fires of Inspiration. Tearing down the hopes and dreams of what…too many people, am I not correct?

My friends, it isn’t just me; this is always found in the Word of God and it is absolute truth. Our life is short and there are other things to be concerned about…than money or prosperity or just feeling good about ourselves.

My friends, has it occurred to anyone, that we are living in the last days? Besides that, have you taken any consideration as to where you are at, age wise, in this life? As far as I can see, no one has ever come back from the cemeteries, yet and they probably never will.

So if you spend your entire life making money, when will you be able to spend it? Will there be enough time to enjoy it? And so, in the end of it all, is heaven…one of your choices for eternity? That’s enough to sober just about anyone!

Matthew 16:24-26 “Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”

Don’t you just hate it when the Word of God turns weak ideas and the world on its nose? How do you deal with that concept in the passage of Scripture above? If you follow the world, there will be NO heaven…WOW!

Yuppers, that Mercedes is going to fall apart one day and then remember what the dust is, in that big house. Nothing here on earth is going to last and the reason is that it was never meant to. The glory of God Almighty is in absolutely everything on this planet, right down to the smallest part of an atom. Trust me, there is nowhere to hide from God and HE knows the intent of our hearts at every moment of our lives.

I remember a particularly bad time in my life. The lights of the city were bright and drew people to it, like a moth. The neon lights were beautiful and welcoming. The problem is this: There is no food in those lights, there is no warmth in their brilliance…it was an illusion.

No one was there waiting with with open arms and a warm bed; no one is looking to feed you when you’re hungry.

Have you ever wondered why there are no lights in the cemeteries? It’s a cold and cruel world in which we live and there is no one there to help you—except for Jesus Christ, the One and only. Always has been and always will be!
