Keep Christ In The Celebration :: By Nathele Graham

America just celebrated Thanksgiving, a day which is set aside to be thankful for God’s blessings. I often wonder who or what atheists thank. Maybe they are thankful to the football teams for taking over the television with football. For my part, I’m thankful for all that God provides. When I think about it, He provides everything.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth(Genesis 1:1).

What if He hadn’t created the heaven and earth? No further creation could happen. If there was no place upon which creation could sit, we’d all be floating around in space, seldom coming in contact with anybody or anything. I’m thankful to God for creating this earth and placing it exactly where it needs to be in order for the sun to warm it but not make it too hot for life to thrive. Scientists call this the anthropic principle, which means that all things are very precise and fine-tuned to make human habitation possible. My reaction to that is, “Duh, that’s because God made it for us.” Bible-believing Christians know that this wasn’t an accident.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made(John 1:1-3).

Who was the “Word”? The answer is simple. The Word was Jesus Christ. He spoke all things into existence, and He made all things.

The Apostle Paul wasn’t confused by myths. He knew that the world wasn’t supported on the shoulders of Atlas, or any other myth. He wrote in a letter to the Colossian believers about God, “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist(Colossians 1:13-17).

That word “consist” is translated from the Greek word “synistemi” and simply means Jesus holds all things together. One day, He will let go, and what a disaster that will be. Christians will be Raptured before that happens, but we can be thankful that Jesus is holding all things together. Jesus created all things, including angels. If anybody tries to convince you that Jesus and Lucifer are brothers, pray for them. They are not brothers; in fact, Lucifer is a created being, whereas Christ has always been and is the Creator. Why aren’t we more thankful for what God has done and is doing for us? Celebrate Christ every day.

People like to complicate things, and many also try to take the glory away from God. Some would have us believe, as Chuck Missler liked to say, first there was nothing, then it exploded. From this big bang came all of the plants, animals, water, people, the air we breathe, etc. They would have us believe that soil that is able to grow plants just happened by chance, as did the plants themselves. Somehow, it all “evolved” just right so life could also “evolve.” By chance, rain happened to water the soil so plants can grow. I wonder what happened between soil coming together and a seed evolving and rain watering everything, or did rain come first? Why didn’t it wash away the soil? There were no plant roots to hold it together.

Plants, by chance, provide food for people and animals in just the right balance of nutrition to sustain life. The “by chance” happenings just go on and on in the fantasy world of evolution in more and more unbelievable ways. Study Genesis to take the confusion away.

God did it all with a plan; it didn’t evolve by happenstance. Bible teachers have dropped the ball by not teaching the truth of God’s word. When the Apostle Paul was mentoring a young pastor named Timothy, he encouraged him to stay true to Scripture instead of teaching false knowledge as if it were true knowledge.

O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen(1 Timothy 6:20-21).

Science has been twisted to eliminate truth. We learn in Genesis that it was Satan who first twisted God’s truth so that he confused Eve, who ate the forbidden fruit that God clearly told Adam not to eat. When God’s truth is twisted to fit an agenda, there is always trouble.

When we understand that God has created everything, we should be grateful. That gratitude should lead us to obey Him. We should never twist His truth to make our sin seem acceptable. There is much evil in this world and it’s glorified and made to look as if it’s fun and not hurting anybody. There has been a shift in “normal” to claim that those who honor the Lord are the abnormal ones. God hasn’t changed, so Christians must be true to His word.

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!(Isaiah 5:20).

All it takes is for a Christian to study Scripture and believe it to see that wickedness has no place in the life of someone who loves the Lord. It’s God who defines right and wrong, not the liberal thinkers who are powered by Satan and accept everything except God’s truth. When God is rejected as creator, what happens? Study Romans chapter 1 and find out. Then, look at news headlines and hear about “pride parades” and transgender thinking, and you’ll see that the Bible is true. Prophecy is probably the best proof of God’s word being truth. Prophecy is being fulfilled quickly. Again, watch the news and keep your eyes on Israel. Christians need to take Scripture seriously and not waiver. Remember, God is correct in all matters.

Therefore, my beloved brethren be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord(1 Corinthians 15:58).

Many Christians today have let go of God’s truth. People claim to be Christians but can’t quote even one verse. Many don’t know why they think they are Christians and don’t believe much of Scripture. My husband thought he was a Christian because he lived in the United States. When he finally came to understand what Christianity is, he was amazed and fell in love with Jesus and Scripture. It changed his life. Most people like the parts about grace and mercy but don’t like to follow the rules God has laid down. What stops us from having unmovable faith? Is it fear? We would do better to fear God rather than fear the opinions of fellow humans. People will always fail, but God is eternal and will never fail.

The next big holiday to be celebrated is Christmas. It’s supposed to celebrate the Creator of the universe stepping into His creation as a human – Immanuel, God with us. That name, or should I say description, was a prophecy found in Isaiah.

Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sin; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel(Isaiah 7:14).

We can always count on the fact that Biblical prophecy will always be fulfilled. This prophecy was fulfilled when a young virgin named Mary submitted herself to God and became pregnant. She was engaged to Joseph, a carpenter, and he was also obedient to God and took his place as the stepfather of Jesus. Joseph and Mary had other children together after Jesus was born, but Jesus was the only begotten Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit. In that way, His blood was not tainted by Adam’s sin and qualified Him to be our Redeemer.

Since Mary was human, Jesus was a kinsman to humanity. When He offered Himself for our salvation on the cross, He was fully God and fully human – our Kinsman Redeemer. His pure blood was shed to take our sin away, not just cover sin as animal sacrifices did. We learn from the Apostle John that Jesus was the Word, which was in the beginning, and the Creator. We also learn He became human.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth(John 1:14).

That’s something to be thankful for. If you haven’t put your faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, you need to do that now. Biblical prophecy will always be fulfilled, and the end times prophecies are being fulfilled quickly.

When you celebrate a holiday, whether it be the birth of Christ or His resurrection, be sure you remember what you celebrate. Keep Christ in the celebration.

God bless you all.

Record-Breaking and Devastating :: By Daymond Duck

Concerning an increase in the frequency and intensity of natural disasters at the end of the age: on Nov. 27, 2024, AccuWeather’s Chief Meteorologist said:

  • The 2024 hurricane season will be remembered for shattering records and causing approximately $500 billion in total damage and economic loss.
  • This has been a tremendously expensive and devastating hurricane season.
  • In addition to the economic costs, 230 people lost their lives as a direct result of this year’s hurricanes and tropical storms.

Here are more recent reports that seem to indicate that the end of the age is near.

One, concerning the so-called religion of peace (Islam): on Nov. 27, 2024, it was reported that:

  • The FBI said in a statement that it is aware of numerous bomb threats and swatting incidents (false accusations) targeting incoming administration (Trump) nominees and appointees.
  • The FBI said it is investigating the incidents.

Karoline Leavitt, Trump’s transition spokesperson, said, “Last night and this morning, several of President Trump’s Cabinet nominees and Administration appointees were targeted in violent, un-American threats to their lives and those who live with them.”

Lee Zeldin, Trump’s nominee for EPA administrator, said, the threat against his family came with a “pro-Palestinian themed message.”

(My opinion: It is not enough to investigate Muslims for threatening U.S. officials. They should also be arrested and prosecuted.)

Two, concerning corruption in the UN, in response to evidence that the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has been employing Hamas terrorists: Israel passed a law prohibiting the UNRWA’s presence in Israel.

On Nov. 26, 2024, the UNRWA closed its offices in east Jerusalem and said they will move to locations outside Israel.

(More: In recent years, at least 2 high-ranking UNRWA officials have been forced to resign over misconduct. Now the UNRWA has been kicked out of Jerusalem.)

(More: Israel and Hezbollah have been at war for several years. In 2006, the UN unanimously passed UN Resolution 1701. This resolution authorized UNIFIL (the UN Interim Force in Lebanon) to use 10-15,000 troops to help Lebanon keep Hezbollah troops north of the Litani River and away from Israel’s borders. But UNIFIL has been ineffective and worthless. UNIFIL has allowed Hezbollah to move right up to Israel’s border with Lebanon, dig tunnels, store weapons, fire rockets into Israel, drive about 80,000 Israelis out of their homes, kill some, injure others, and more.

(My opinion: I wish the U.S. would withdraw from the UN, ask the UN to leave New York, and stop giving desperately needed U.S. tax dollars to that worthless organization. Israel’s frustration with the UN is one reason the wars in Gaza and Lebanon are taking place now.)

Three, on Nov. 28, 2024, it was reported that:

  • Israeli troops in Lebanon have found chemicals and gas masks in Hezbollah strongholds.
  • They believe these chemicals and gas masks may be part of a plan to produce chemical weapons and/or to drug and abduct Israelis in cross-border raids.

Four, concerning the destruction of Damascus, Syria, in one night: on Nov. 27, 2024, Israel sent a warning to Syria that said,

  • If Syria helps Hezbollah to rebuild, they will pay direct prices. Not only the convoys will be attacked, but there will be prices to pay in Syria as well.

Five, concerning the Battle of Gog and Magog (Russia, Iran, Turkey, and others attacking Israel in the latter days and latter years): on Dec. 2, 2024, Israel warned Iran that it will not tolerate Iran rebuilding Hezbollah on Israel’s northern border.

Six, concerning the Two-State Solution (division of Israel): Israel approved extending indemnities to PA banks for another year to prevent the PA economy from collapsing after the Biden Administration assured Israel that it would veto any UN Security Council resolution recognizing a Palestinian State.

(My opinion: Stopping the Biden administration from agreeing to the Two-State Solution before Trump takes office was a big move by Israel.)

Seven, concerning Israel being a great army at the end of the age (Ezek. 37:10): on Nov. 27, 2024, it was reported that Israel’s Rafael Advanced Delivery Systems,

  • Has managed to develop solutions for atmospheric disturbances and concentrate energy into a laser beam capable of striking a target the size of a coin, neutralizing it by unifying multiple beams into one beam before impact.

Eight, concerning wars and rumors of wars: on Nov. 30, 2024, thousands of insurgents took over most of the city of Aleppo (the second largest city in Syria) and its airport. They also took over most of the province of Idlib.

(More: On Dec. 1, 2024, it was reported that the insurgents captured and invaded Syrian President Assad’s palace in Aleppo, a nearby military academy, and Russian air defense systems.)

(More: On Dec. 2, 2024, it was reported that Russian jets are now attacking the insurgents that are attacking targets in Syria.)

(More: On Dec. 2, 2024, it was reported that Iran has sent 200 Iraqi supporters to Syria to help fight the insurgents that are attacking targets in Syria.)

(More: On Dec. 3, 2024, it was reported that Turkey is supporting the insurgents that are attacking targets in Syria.)

(More: On Dec. 3, 2024, a U.S.-backed Syrian militia group led by Syrian Kurdish forces took control of seven villages in Syria.)

Nine, on Dec. 2, 2024, it was reported that Syrian Pres. Assad sent a message to Israel through Israeli security forces in Europe requesting help to deal with the insurgents that have rebelled in Syria.

Israel responded by demanding that Syria remove any Iranian forces from Syria before it would consider helping Assad.

An Israeli expert said the insurgent attack in Syria is good for Israel because it hinders Syria’s assistance for Hezbollah and Iran and complicates their efforts to rebuild Hezbollah.

(My opinion: God is helping Israel and giving Syria a chance to get on the right side before Damascus is destroyed.)

Ten, concerning wars and rumors of wars: in response to recent tests by Russia and China, the U.S. Navy has started equipping one of three destroyers with hypersonic missiles that travel at more than 5 times the speed of sound.

Eleven, concerning wars and rumors of wars: on Dec. 3, 2024, it was reported that Iran has abandoned its threat to attack Israel since the election of Trump.

Here is my weekly update on the Israel-Hamas war.

Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024 (day 418), The three hundred and sixty-third day of the resumed war. Day 196 of the attack on Rafah.

  • Israel said it will appeal the International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrants for suspected war crimes by Netanyahu and Gallant in Gaza.
  • In the last few hours before Israel’s ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah went into effect, Israel struck about 120 sites in Lebanon.
  • Israel discovered an Iranian weapons smuggling operation in Judea and Samaria.

Thursday, Nov. 28, 2024 (day 419), The three hundred and sixty-fourth day of the resumed war. Day 197 of the attack on Rafah.

  • Thanksgiving day, and I didn’t find anything that I wanted to report.

Friday, Nov. 29, 2024 (day 420), The three hundred and sixty-fifth day of the resumed war. Day 198 of the attack on Rafah.

  • Hezbollah’s chief declared that Hezbollah has won the war against Israel because they prevented Israel from destroying them and prevented Israel from stopping the resistance.
  • Mike Huckabee, Trump’s nominee for U.S. Ambassador to Israel, said Hezbollah and the other Iranian proxy groups have no interest in peace, and it only will come when they are eradicated.

Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024, (day 421) The three hundred and sixty-sixth day of the resumed war. Day 199 of the attack on Rafah.

  • Israeli jets blocked an Iranian cargo plane that was assumed to be delivering weapons to Hezbollah and forced it to turn around over Syria and return home.

Sunday, Dec. 1, 2024, (day 422) The three hundred and sixty-seventh day of the resumed war. Day 200 of the attack on Rafah.

  • US. jets shot down 7 missiles and drones that Houthis in Yemen fired at ships in the Red Sea.

Monday, Dec. 2, 2024 (day 423), The three hundred and sixty-eighth day of the resumed war. Day 201 of the attack on Rafah.

  • Pres.-elect Trump told Hamas, “If the hostages are not released prior to January 20, 2025, the date that I proudly assume Office as President of the United States, there will be ALL HELL TO PAY in the Middle East, and for those in charge who perpetrated these atrocities against Humanity.”

Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024, (day 424) The three hundred and sixty-ninth day of the resumed war. Day 202 of the attack on Rafah.

  • Israel’s ceasefire agreement is on shaky grounds because of Hezbollah’s violations and Israel’s retaliation.
  • Israel warned Lebanon that Israel will treat Lebanon like it treats Hezbollah if the ceasefire collapses.
  • Israel accused UNIFIL (the United Nations Interim Forces in Lebanon) of ignoring ceasefire violations by Hezbollah in Lebanon.
  • Israel said they have killed 7 more Hamas terrorists that participated in the Oct. 7, 2023 attack on Israel.

FYI: God does not send anyone to Hell (all of us are born with a sin nature and destined to go to Hell because we sin), but God has provided a way (Jesus) for everyone to go to Heaven (and He is the only way to get there; John 14:6).

Finally, are you Rapture Ready?

If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this.
