How Quickly Things Can Change :: By Grant Phillips

Your spouse slaps you with a divorce. Your path in life is redirected as soon as those papers are served.

Your loved one has been killed in an accident. Your world is never the same from that moment forward.

Everything was fine at work, so it seemed, then your boss informs you that you no longer work there. In just a few words your world has changed.

You said, “I do.” She said, “You’d better.” Uh Oh.

She said, “I’m pregnant.” Your life will never be the same.

The United States of America was enjoying economic prosperity and low unemployment. Then the COVD-19 Coronavirus came to town. Overnight, an economic darkness has struck our land. People are out of work. Businesses are anticipated to fail. The national debt continues to rise. All of this because, worst of all, people are dying from one little “bug.”

I would like to quote again, the words of Mike Lindell, founder of My Pillow made the evening of March 30, 2020 at the White House briefing.

“God gave us grace on November 8, 2016 to change the course we were on. God had been taken out of our schools and lives. A nation had turned its back on God, and I encourage you, use this time at home to get back in the Word, read our Bibles and spend time with our families.

Our President gave us so much hope, where just a few short months ago, we had the best economy, lowest unemployment, wages going up, it was amazing. With our great President, Vice-President and this administration and all the great people in this country praying daily, we will get through this and back to a place that is stronger and safer than ever.”

Please read his words slowly and thoughtfully. They could not be any more true than they are stated.

Almost overnight, we as a country have gone from prosperity to … well, we are just not sure what is ahead, but it doesn’t look pretty. I am sure of one thing. I am sure that if we who claim to know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord would call out to God and mean it, as did the publican in Luke 18:13, He would hear our prayers. The Lord God made it very clear to Solomon that He would heal our land if we would humble ourselves before Him.

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

(Again, for the nitpickers, yes I know this verse is specifically for Israel and I also know that the application is for us as well. “For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” Romans 15:4)

Notice that God says nothing about those who are not His people. Those who are not God’s people are children of Satan (John 8:44). God will not listen to them unless they call out to be saved through Jesus Christ.

Is it possible we (true Christians) have depended too much upon President Trump and Congress to guide our country correctly? In other words, if it is true that God allowed Donald Trump to be elected on November 8, 2016 instead of Hillary Clinton, and I believe it is true, are we putting our faith in the President or God?

By all means, we need to pray daily for President Trump and his administration, but we pray that God will lead him. We also pray that President Trump will listen to the advice God sends his way. We pray for the President’s administration that God will lead them and they will listen. We pray for God’s protection against those who seek to destroy our land because of their greed for power and their hatred for God.

Why do the Democrats and the RINOs (Republicans in Name Only) have such a strong hatred for President Trump? My opinion: God wrecked their plans for a one world government and President Donald Trump and his administration is in their way. Also, their volatile hatred is nearly off the charts because President Trump and his administration have been so successful. Why has it been successful? Because of God, not man.

Here comes the puzzle; i.e. the head scratcher. Why does it seem now that all of that success is being sucked down the drain? The COVID-19 Coronavirus is wreaking havoc all over the world. What is going on?

I see two alternatives: (This is my opinion only, for what it’s worth.)

  1. God is fed up with us and is furthering His preparation to end the Church age.
  2. God will hear the prayers of His people and do even greater things, which of course will make Satan and his protégés (Democrats and RINOs) even more determined in their fight against Him.

Either way, I feel we are at the tail end of the Church age. As to how much time is left, only God is privy to that knowledge. The best thing we can do as Christians is live as if He will be coming for us today.

When I think of how quickly things can change, I think of my own life. The years have gone by very, very fast. Then I think of Jesus’ words, “I come quickly.” (Revelation 3:11; 22:7, 12, 20)

Jesus emphasized through the apostle Paul just how quick is “quickly” when He has Paul write these words.

“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” (1 Corinthians 15:52)

Now folks, that’s pretty fast. Are you ready? Once He comes, it will be over before we can blink. When Jesus returns for His Church (His bride) things will change in a millisecond, and it will be too late for those left behind.

Somebodys Knocking :: By Grant Phillips

I and millions of other Americans were watching television last night (03-30-20) when President Trump invited several business leaders to say a few words. It is encouraging listening to these men and women as they explain their role in helping our country during this pandemic with the COVID-19 Coronavirus. However, one man in particular really got everyone’s attention. His name is Mike Lindell and he is the founder of My Pillow. After providing information on the role his company is playing in fighting the Coronavirus, he had a few words to say off the cuff that he had written down. They were:

“God gave us grace on November 8, 2016 to change the course we were on. God had been taken out of our schools and lives. A nation had turned its back on God, and I encourage you, use this time at home to get back in the Word, read our Bibles and spend time with our families.

Our President gave us so much hope, where just a few short months ago, we had the best economy, lowest unemployment, wages going up, it was amazing. With our great President, Vice-President and this administration and all the great people in this country praying daily, we will get through this and back to a place that is stronger and safer than ever.”

Needless to say, someone turned the light on and all the roaches scurried across the room. I have read many of the comments from these lost floundering souls and it makes me wonder just how long the Lord Jesus Christ is going to put up with people who want absolutely nothing to do with Him and His people.

I have no doubt that many, many Christians were saying, “Amen, Amen, and Amen!” as they listened intently to what Mr. Lindell had to say, while savoring each and every word. I and my wife certainly were doing so.

Obviously, President Trump, his administration and all the business leaders and medical folks are doing their best at this crucial time, but it is unfortunate that wannabee reporters from CNN and all their buddies are so focused on their own hatred for our President that their objective is to nitpic, lie and not give a flip about the American people. And of course when Mr. Lindell made his off the cuff comments that really got their panties in a wad. How dare he!

I have been wondering for some time now, “What is God up to?” Now rest assured, none of us are going to “figure out” what God is doing except … for what He wants us to know.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8-9)

Allow me to present a few observations that you have probably also noticed. Following are just a few for this year only … only three months.

  • Heavy rains that soaked the coastal areas of Australia AFTER massive bushfires that killed 26 people in 2019
  • Severe storms and flooding in eastern United States.
  • Mid-Atlantic and Northeast storms and tornadoes
  • Freezing rain and wintry mix from Great Lakes to Maine
  • Widespread power outages in North Carolina, Florida, South Carolina and Virginia
  • 500 people displaced by flooding in Virginia
  • Severe flooding in Kentucky, West Virginia, and Tennessee
  • Locust invasion in Africa, worst in decades
  • 37 confirmed tornadoes
  • Tennessee tornadoes killed 24 people and had 47,000 without power
  • Earthquake in Russia (7.5)
  • World-wide COVID-19 Coronavirus

Now let’s think about this real hard. Is it possible that Somebody is trying to get our attention?

Jesus gave us a heads-up on what life would be like in the Tribulation.

“For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” (Matthew 24:7-12)

Isn’t it odd that much of what is happening today is much like Jesus’ warnings of Tribulation events? Isn’t it obvious we may be seeing the ending of a change in world history; i.e. from the Church age to the Tribulation?

It’s like the storm that just went over our house a few minutes ago. The thunder can be heard in the distance, and gets louder as it gets closer. The sun is darkened by clouds that move in and bring the rain. It certainly seems God may be preparing to close the Church age with the Rapture of the Church and give Israel the remaining seven years promised her. The apostle Paul also spoke of these days in the following verses for example.

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” (2 Timothy 3:1-5)

Wow! If that doesn’t describe mankind today … to a T … nothing does. These verses are a photograph of today’s world. The world as a whole and even the church as a whole (think Laodicea) are in these verses Paul wrote to Timothy.

And then there is the message the Lord told Solomon. Yes, this is for Israel specifically, but again, the message is for us today also. Notice carefully what God says.

“And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice. If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:12-14)

It appears that God for the last three months (not even counting last year, and the previous years) has been knocking at our door.

“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” (Revelation 3:20)

And then Jesus ends His message to this last church of the Church age (as He did to the other six) with:

“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” (Revelation 3:22)

Going back to the comments of Mike Lindell, I am firmly convinced that the Lord Jesus had Mr. Lindell make these comments for, “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” I am also convinced that these few uprisings of nature I listed are also a message from Almighty God. Many are listening and have opened the door. Many hear and will not answer.

With all the unnatural activity going on in the world today, there can only be one reason for it and it isn’t climate change. It is the God of Heaven, Jesus Himself, giving final warnings before His return. Are you listening?
