No. The difference between Christians and non-Christians is that Christians are forgiven but unbelievers in Christ are not. Jesus loves everyone but He wants to have a personal relationship with His creation. He gives us free will so we can choose to accept Him or choose not to. When Christians speak about themselves as being saved, it means they are saved by grace because of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, not because of anything that they did.
Once a person is born-again by the Holy Spirit he or she automatically becomes a child of God and is part of His everlasting kingdom. In that regard Christians can be considered special, but they are not special because of anything they do. Christ is the special one. If you know you are going to spend eternity in the Presence of the King of the universe — that is something very special.
