The United Pentecostal Church teaches that there’s only one God and that Jesus is fully God. There is no God the Father or God the Holy Spirit. They believe that all non-UPC churches worship three gods.
I attended a UPC church for several months, so I can, from first-hand experience, declare it to be a cult equal to the JWs or Mormons. Every week, the sermon was on Acts 2:38. Oneness Pentecostalism rejects faith-based salvation by saying a person is not saved unless he or she is baptized in Jesus’ name only.
Several Bible passages clearly contradict this teaching:
Romans 4:3: “For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.”
Romans 5:1: “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Galatians 3:8, “And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.”
Ephesians 2:8: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.”
