In Luke16 Jesus said that the “beggar was carried by angels.””So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried” (Luke 16:22).
Many stories have been told over the years about saved loved ones who were about to die. Accounts have been given by family members that just before the person passed from this life into the eternal — words such as this were uttered: “I see the angels” or ” I can hear the angels singing.”
It is interesting to note that when Jesus came to earth he was accompanied by a “multitudes of angels” (Luke 2:3-14). And angels will accompany Him once again when He returns (Matthew 16:27).
“And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” (Luke 2:3-14)
“For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works” (Matthew 16:27).
