Absolutely! Science and faith can be best understood when joined together. God has a part in every created thing. John 1:3 says, “Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.” So, without a faith in God, it is impossible to truly understand science.
You can learn about the stars and the universe from the Bible. There is much to learn about health, healing and medicine from Scripture. Luke, himself, was a physician.
I would caution, though, that you guard well your faith. In the science field, you will probably find more unbelievers than Christians so you may be in the minority. It is vital that you know the Word so that you can defend it. Don’t just believe; know why you believe what you do. You may be called to bring light to people who are steeped in man’s traditions and limited to man’s understanding. Pray for God’s guidance and wisdom as you embark on your journey.
“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD” (Isaiah 1:18).
