The Pre-Wrath Rapture position is not possible because its proponents say the wrath of God is poured out in the last few months of the Tribulation. The Bible is clear that God’s wrath is poured out early in the Tribulation with the breaking of the Sixth Seal:
“I looked when He broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood; and the stars of the sky fell to the earth, as a fig tree casts its unripe figs when shaken by a great wind. The sky was split apart like a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
Then the kings of the earth and the great men and the commanders and the rich and the strong and every slave and free man hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains; and they said to the mountains and to the rocks fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb; for the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?” (Revelation 6:12-17).
The wrath of God and Jesus Christ is poured out on the unsaved with the breaking of the Sixth Seal. The wrath that is mentioned later in Revelation is more wrath:
“Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous, seven angels who had seven plagues, which are the last, because in them the wrath of God is finished†(Revelation 15:1)
The seven bowl judgments are not the total wrath of God; they are the final judgments of the wrath of God. The premise of the Pre-Wrath Tribulation Rapture doctrine, that Christians will be raptured out just before the bowl judgments are poured out, is not biblical.
It also contradicts Scripture, because it says that millions of Christians will endure most of the wrath of God (Revelation 6:12-17; 8:1-12; 9:1-21; 11:4-6). Scripture is clear that no Christian of the Church Age will suffer any of the wrath of God (1Thessalonians 5:9).
The men who teach the Pre-wrath Tribulation Rapture can argue that the Rapture will take place just before the breaking of the Sixth Seal (Revelation 6:12), when the wrath of God is first poured out on the world, but to argue for a later time is not biblical.
