Paul told the Corinthians to imitate him as he imitated Jesus (1 Corinthians 11.1). If we are to imitate Paul and Jesus we must be disciples because Paul was the greatest disciple and apostle.
All disciples are fishers of men who actively lead people to the Lord. Jesus was the greatest fisher of men and He called His disciples to be the same:
Now as Jesus was walking by the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon who was called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. And He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” (Matthew 4.18-20)
All Christians should be disciples, and therefore fishers of men. If you are not a fisher of men, study the FAQs here on Rapture Ready on Discipleship to better equip you in leading others to Christ.
