“God promised Abraham those who bless Israel and the Jewish people will be blessed and those who curse them will be cursed as revealed in the book of Genesis.
Evangelicals recognize the creation of Israel in 1948 as the fulfillment of biblical prophecy. The Jewish narrative are the same prophesies that Christian turn to, about the day when the Jewish people scattered around the world would be gathered into the Land of Israel. Millions of Christians and Jews understand that 1948 and the birth of the modern state of Israel was a miracle.
Matthew24:32: “Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh.” (Israel was literally reborn just before summer, May 14, 1948).
In the Bible in the book of Genesis, Chapter 12, verses 1 through 3, God tells us that he has chosen Abram (who will later be renamed “Abraham”) to make His nation of Israel:
“And Jehovah said to Abram, ‘Go out of your country, and from your kindred, and from your father’s house into a land that I will show you. And I will make you a great nation. And I will bless you and make your name great. And you shall be a blessing. And I will bless those that bless you and curse the one who curses you. And in you shall all families of the earth be blessed.'”
In Genesis Chapter 15, verse 18, God makes it clear that he gave Abraham’s descendants specific portion of land:
“In the same day Jehovah made a covenant with Abram, saying, I have given this land to your seed, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates . . .”
In Joshua Chapter 1, verses 1 through 4, God reiterates that the land belongs to the descendants of Abraham:
“And it happened after the death of Moses the servant of Jehovah, Jehovah spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying, My servant Moses is dead. Now, therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people to the land which I give to them, to the sons of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, I have given that to you, as I said to Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon even to the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your border.”
