It is sometimes difficult to understand why God does not instantly give us perfect lives. It is true that God allows us to go through some horrible things. In fact, some of the issues in our lives are allowed by God in order to strengthen our faith and dependence on God. James 1:2-3 says, “Count it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.”
You can use the trials you face to teach you more about God”s character as you surrender your life to Him. He will never allow something to pass through your life that you and He cannot handle together. The Bible says, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you” (Heb. 13:5b).
