Many people plan to focus on faith in the later days of life. They want to live freely today; they don’t want the Bible’s rules to hamper their fun.
The first problem with this view is that we have no guarantee that we will be here tomorrow. Death can suddenly strike from any direction. The person who is not ready is in a world of hurt.
The second problem is that “later in life” never comes. A 20-year-old who wants to lay making a decision for Christ will have the same mindset when he is 70.
“For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Cor 6:2).
